Chapter 18 - Chapter 14

The Return of the Runcandel Heir — Wizarding World in Uproar

The next morning, Keith slipped the ancient Runcandel Family Crest Ring onto his finger. The metal shimmered with the low hum of authority—something only the true patriarch could wear.

Luna Runcandel walked beside him with her usual cool elegance, Hyōrinmaru on her waist.

Grayfia Runcandel followed, graceful as moonlight, her silver hair trailing behind her.

They stepped into the Leaky Cauldron, and the moment Keith walked in, the atmosphere changed.

Tom, who was wiping mugs absentmindedly, froze mid-motion.

Keith offered a polite smile.

"Good morning, Tom. I'd like to access Diagon Alley."

Tom eyed him suspiciously—until Keith raised his hand.

The Runcandel Crest glowed faintly.

Tom's expression instantly drained into shock before he bowed deeply.

"Welcome… Lord Runcandel."

A chorus of gasps erupted from the room. Witches and wizards whispered frantically.

"R-Runcandel?"

"The strongest ancient sword family… still exists?"

"Impossible—everyone thought they vanished centuries ago."

Keith thanked Tom and walked through the brick archway into Diagon Alley, where news spread like wildfire.

Gringotts – Recognition of the True Patriarch

Inside Gringotts, goblins fell silent as Keith approached the reception counter.

The goblin receptionist, Graknar, nearly choked on his own breath when he saw the crest.

"L-Lord Runcandel…?! Please—follow me immediately."

Whispers spread rapidly among the goblins. One ran at full sprint to notify the president.

Moments later, the Gringotts President Ragnok Ironfang appeared, bowing respectfully.

"We require a blood-verification for protocol. May we proceed?"

Keith nodded calmly.

A crystal disk absorbed a drop of his blood—then flashed violently as ancient letters carved themselves onto its surface.

[Keith Argus Runcandel — 45th Lord of House Runcandel]

The goblins froze.

Ragnok bowed even lower.

"Your vault keys, inheritance documents, ancestral legal records, and complete Gringotts registry—everything is prepared."

He presented a sealed obsidian chest to Keith.

Keith took it with a nod of acknowledgment before returning to the mansion with Luna and Grayfia.

Wizarding World Erupts — Newspapers Explode With Headlines

By dawn the next day, every magical newspaper screamed the same front-page headline:

"THE RETURN OF THE RUNCANDEL LORD — ANCIENT FAMILY REAWAKENS!"

The reactions were immediate and chaotic—

Families in Debt to Runcandel

Malfoy Family Carrow Family Flint Family

…were terrified.

Their houses owed massive galleon debts to Runcandel from centuries-old contracts.

Lucius Malfoy, already disgraced and living apart from Narcissa, went pale and immediately began writing desperate letters.

Families Loyal to Runcandel

Black Bones Longbottom Greengrass Vole Weasley Abbott Scamander Flamel

…celebrated the return of an ancient ally.

Many requested immediate meetings—others simply expressed joy.

Girls Who Saw His Picture—and Blushed Hard

Susan Bones Amelia Bones (30, Susan's aunt—shockingly flustered) Daphne Greengrass Astoria Greengrass Cassandra Vole

Each had the same reaction:

"He's too handsome…"

Black Family Mansion

Narcissa Black read the paper, her cheeks faintly pink.

Tonks (4th year), who was sipping tea, nearly spat it out.

"A-Aunt Cissa… who is this man? Why is he so unfairly good-looking?"

Narcissa coughed lightly, flustered.

"…A Runcandel. A very old friend to the Black line."

Tonks's hair turned bright pink.

A Lonely Woman in the Ruins

Far away, in an abandoned shack, sat a pale, starved woman—her body covered in scars, wrists bruised from old shackles.

Bellatrix Black.

Not the insane killer the world believed.

But a woman

—tortured,

—experimented on,

—betrayed by the Malfoy, Carrow, and Flint families,

—framed for crimes she never committed.

When she saw the headline drifting in on a stray breeze, she whispered hoarsely:

"…Runcandel… Keith… Argus…?"

A tiny spark of hope flickered in her dead eyes.

Hope she thought she had forgotten how to feel.

In France – The Eternal Friends

In a grand mansion in France, two ancient figures read the news.

Nicolas Flamel, over 600 years old, and his wife Perenelle, smiled.

Perenelle chuckled softly.

"So… the boy finally awakened."

Flamel nodded.

"The world will shake again. And the Runcandels will rise."
