Chapter 22 - Chapter 18

The Next Morning — Runcandel Mansion

Keith was seated in his study, sipping tea as Luna and Grayfia approached with thick folders filled with compiled reports.

"We've finished gathering the information about the current wizarding world," Luna said with a respectful bow.

Grayfia placed the folders neatly before Keith. "Everything is cross-checked with the Runcandel intelligence network."

Keith began browsing through the documents—calm, focused, reading page after page.

Then he suddenly froze.

His brows lifted slightly.

Rias, Luna, Grayfia, Albedo, Gamma, and Scathach immediately sensed it. Their expressions sharpened.

Rias stepped closer. "Keith… what did you find?"

He exhaled softly, eyes narrowing in thought.

"In the original story I knew… the savior was Harry Potter."

All six women looked at each other.

"But…" Keith tapped the report, "…there is no Harry Potter here. Not a single record. Instead…"

He slid the dossier across the table.

"Neville Longbottom is listed as the Boy-Who-Lived."

The room fell silent.

Keith turned to Luna and Grayfia. "Are you sure this is correct?"

Luna nodded firmly. "Yes. These are the official, underground, and magical registry results. All of them match."

Grayfia added, "We double-checked through Runcandel sources. There is no Potter child registered as living."

Keith leaned back, thoughtful. "Then check all information about the Potters. Any surviving family, hidden records, estate transfers… everything."

"Yes, Keith," Luna and Grayfia answered in unison.

Keith raised his hand slightly.

A dark ripple passed through the room—

Darkrai appeared, silent and shadowy.

"Assist Luna and Grayfia," Keith ordered.

Darkrai bowed respectfully before vanishing with them, leaving only Keith and Rias behind.

A Quiet Moment Between Lovers

With the others gone, Rias walked gracefully toward Keith. She sat down sideways on his lap, wrapping her arms around his neck.

Keith placed a hand on her waist, the other gently stroking her crimson hair.

Rias closed her eyes in bliss, leaning into his touch.

He resumed scanning the next batch of intelligence.

One detail immediately caught his attention.

"Lucius Malfoy… divorced Narcissa."

Rias opened her eyes in surprise. "That's not how it goes in your world, right?"

Keith shook his head.

"And here," he continued, "Draco Malfoy is the son of Lucius and Lisana Malfoy, née Selwyn. Not Narcissa."

Rias frowned, reading the documents with him. "There's more… This black-market information says Lucius cheated on Narcissa."

Keith snorted softly. "Of course. He married Narcissa only for the Black family prestige. But when he didn't get the inheritance or influence he expected, he threw her away."

Rias tched. "Short-sighted and pathetic. Narcissa may not be powerful, but the Black lineage is."

Keith nodded. "Exactly."

They continued reading.

Another concerning entry appeared:

Bellatrix Black — escaped custody. Charges piled suspiciously fast. Evidence… inconsistent.

Rias tapped the page. "This looks like someone deliberately dumped blame on her."

Keith's eyes narrowed thoughtfully. "I agree. Something is off."

He closed the folder and set it aside.

Rias shifted, resting her head on his chest.

Keith wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close.

For a long moment, they simply held each other—warm, peaceful silence filling the room.

Whatever secrets the wizarding world held…

They would face them together.
