Chapter 100 - Chapter 100: Reaching Marriable Age

Since graduating from the Shinobi Academy, Seiya's eyes had not advanced for several years, remaining at the Two-Tomoe stage.

His mother's explanation was that being well-loved and cared for, living a happy life, and rarely experiencing violent emotional fluctuations made it difficult to promote the evolution of the Sharingan.

There was nothing that could be done about this.

Seiya could not seek dramatic turmoil in his life just to upgrade his Sharingan.

If it's Two-Tomoe, then Two-Tomoe. Let nature take its course.

Of course, there was no need to explain this to Orochimaru.

Facing his question, Seiya neither confirmed nor denied it, revealing no information at all.

Orochimaru became bored. He glanced at everyone and grinned.

"You have too many people. I'm leaving first!"

Immediately, he used the Reverse Summoning Technique, and along with Yakushi Kabuto, poof, they exploded in a puff of white smoke and vanished from the spot.

Only Seiya, Tsunade, and the others remained.

Without Orochimaru, everyone's tension eased significantly, and they relaxed a great deal.

Kurenai Yuhi and the others respectfully greeted the two Sannin seniors.

Tsunade and Jiraiya acknowledged them one by one, then began to size up Uchiha Megumi's son.

Over a decade had passed in the blink of an eye.

The cute, fair-skinned baby in swaddling clothes had grown into a handsome and elegant young man.

Tsunade couldn't help but sigh at the swift passage of time.

Seiya, however, secretly marveled at Tsunade's ample bust, which managed to stretch the loose coat into an astonishing prominence.

Although completely covered and not showing any cleavage, it held a unique allure that sparked the imagination.

Among all the women he knew, only Samui possessed a similar overwhelming figure.

He had originally thought Samui-nee was unmatched, but today he had personally seen a formidable woman who could stand toe-to-toe with her.

Konoha was indeed the number one Shinobi village, with unfathomable reserves!

"How is your mother doing in Kumogakure?" Tsunade asked with concern.

"Very well!" Seiya replied without hesitation.

Tsunade nodded slightly, a bitter smile crossing her lips, and said, "Your mother is very wise. She saw the writing on the wall and foresaw the Uchiha tragedy early on. It was right for her to leave Konoha."

Seiya scoffed and said coldly, "As far as I know, you did everything you could to try and kill my mother back then!"

"I was wrong!" As she spoke, Tsunade bowed deeply to Seiya.

"Mistakes cannot be undone, only compensated for to the best of my ability. I will return to the village to become the Fifth Hokage and cancel the rogue Shinobi warrant against your mother."

Seiya's expression was calm.

After all, Konoha's warrant had no effect on his mother.

Canceling the warrant was a trivial matter.

However, it genuinely demonstrated Konoha's attitude of self-reflection and reclassified Uchiha Megumi's departure from the village.

From this perspective, the significance was rather profound.

Seiya nodded slightly, approving, "You will likely be a much better Hokage than Hiruzen Sarutobi."

"I'll take that as a good omen," Tsunade smiled charmingly.

After another round of small talk, the group separated.

Tsunade was busy returning to the village to take the Hokage position and deal with the chaos.

Seiya was busy returning home.

By his calculation, it had been about a year and a half since he last saw his mother.

He had deliberately taken a detour through the Land of Fire but hadn't caused any trouble for the Sannin.

The only gain was that he had kept Shion entertained the entire way.

Seiya felt deep regret.

Orochimaru was like a slippery loach that couldn't be caught.

Tsunade and Jiraiya were Konoha Shinobis.

Kumogakure and Konoha had signed an alliance agreement years ago.

Seiya could not make a move against them.

Besides, even if he did, Tsunade and Jiraiya could probably use their Sage heritage to escape at will, just like Orochimaru.

Retaliation against the Sannin could not be achieved through conventional means!

Seiya reflected deeply and decided to change his strategy.

However, before he could devise a concrete strategy, he had already returned to Kumogakure.

The journey of several months had passed quickly.

Shion also came along to Kumogakure.

To her, the Shinobi world was full of unfamiliar and new things and traveling anywhere was enjoyable.

Seeing the place where Seiya had lived since childhood was a good choice.

...

Upon arriving at the village, Seiya led Shion straight to the Raikage's Office Building.

The building was constructed on the mountainside, carved out of the mountain, with a massive spherical structure supporting it.

It was evening, and the building was brightly lit.

Soft white light shone on the glass walls.

Seen from the outside, it resembled a dazzling, precious pearl, reflecting the moon high in the sky.

"It is indeed a great nation's Shinobi village!"

Shion gazed at the magnificent Raikage's Office Building, unable to help but sigh in admiration.

The palace she had lived in in the Land of Demons was far less grand and impressive than the Raikage's Office Building.

They traversed the winding streets, took an elevator inside the Raikage's Office Building, and went straight to the top floor.

Seiya knocked on the door of the Raikage's Secretary's office and led Shion inside.

Mabui was combing her hair in the mirror. Her silver-grey short hair was smooth and beautiful.

When she caught sight of Seiya in her peripheral vision, her eyes lit up. She put down the comb, stood up, and was all smiles.

"Welcome back to the village, Seiya-kun! It's been over a year, and you've grown so tall!"

"Nee-san is getting more beautiful and more elegant," Seiya smiled.

"Such a sweet talker." Mabui's eyes held a smile.

As she exchanged pleasantries, she ushered Seiya and Shion to sit by the tea table.

"How is it, joining the Akatsuki organization?"

"It's alright. Akatsuki has just gathered ten core members."

"Aside from you, are they all rogue Shinobis?"

"The Leader and the Angel are not, but the others should be. They all have unique abilities and are rather tricky Jonin."

"As it should be. A mercenary organization should be at this level." Mabui nodded slightly, then asked, "Did you encounter any accidents on this trip?"

"Yes." Seiya then briefly described his experience on the Yellow Earth Plateau in the Land of Earth.

Mabui's delicate brows furrowed. She reflected, "The Tsuchikage's granddaughter is indeed sharp. The Lightning Blade: Kiba-I overlooked that point and didn't consider the causal connection behind it."

Seiya comforted her, "That was over a decade ago. Nee-san, you don't need to blame yourself. Even the Seven Shinobi Swordsmen of the Mist, whom my mother killed personally, didn't think of that detail, let alone you, Nee-san."

Immediately, he turned to Shion and introduced her, "Nee-san, this is Shion, the former Priestess of the Land of Demons. Her country was destroyed, and she has been traveling the Shinobi world with me. She currently wants to stay in the village as a guest for a while."

"Land of Demons?" Mabui was slightly stunned, then mentally located the remote minor country on the map.

She offered Shion a reserved smile and said, "Welcome to Kumogakure as a guest. If you don't mind, please stay at the guesthouse."

"No need to trouble yourself, thank you." Shion shook her head and refused, "I'll stay at Seiya's house."

"That's fine, too." Mabui nodded slightly and added, "If you encounter any problems in your daily life that are difficult to solve, you can come to the Raikage's Office Building to talk to me."

Shion lightly tapped her chin and thanked her politely.

Mabui turned to Seiya and sighed, "In a few more months, Seiya-kun, you will be coming of age."

"Yes, I am prepared," Seiya nodded, his expression solemn.

The significance of coming of age was crystal clear.
