After leaving the Raikage's Office Building, Seiya took Shion straight home.
Due to the sealing barrier, Seiya went inside first and called his mother out to open the door for Shion.
Mikoto Uchiha and Karin, who were living at home, also came out to the yard to welcome the guest.
"Nee-chan, your sealing barrier is so brilliant!"
Shion praised her sincerely.
Just now, she had tried to use her Priestess sealing jutsu to break it, but she had no idea where to start.
The barrier, which contained powerful ocular power, was like an impenetrable wall of iron, with no weaknesses, leaving her completely helpless.
Megumai smiled faintly and said, "A barrier that protects a family should, of course, be as strong as possible. Feel free to stay here. There will be no danger."
"Thank you, Nee-chan."
"You're welcome." Megumai waved her hand, then instructed Karin to take Shion upstairs to choose a room.
Karin answered, gave Seiya a reluctant look, and then led Shion into the house and upstairs.
"Tojo-kun, welcome back." Mikoto Uchiha greeted him softly with a sweet smile.
Megumai's eyebrow arched slightly, looking at her with a knowing smile.
Mikoto instantly realized her mistake.
Her face immediately flushed crimson, and she quietly said, 'Seiya, welcome back.'
During the year or so Seiya was away, Yugito Nii and Megumai had both done all the necessary "ideological work" on Mikoto Uchiha.
Now, she already considered herself Seiya's fiancée.
Therefore, the way she addressed her fiancé naturally couldn't be the reserved "Tojo-kun" anymore.
Seiya was also aware of this.
After thinking it over, he still chose to call her "Mikoto-nee," as simply calling her "Mikoto" felt a bit too strange.
The age gap was obvious, and there was no need to deliberately avoid it.
Megumai lovingly stroked Seiya's head and sighed softly, "My son has grown up. He's even a little taller than his mother now."
"Mm." Seiya gently responded, burying his head in his mother's neck, full of affection, quietly soaking in the happiness of their reunion.
"You're almost an adult, yet you're still acting like a baby!" Megumai put on a playful, slightly annoyed face, seemingly quite displeased, but the corners of her mouth couldn't stop turning up, and her eyes were filled with joy.
Her son had been away for so long.
As his mother, she missed him terribly and had been longing for him to come home every day!
Now that her baby was right in front of her, what could be happier than this?
After a while, Seiya finished expressing his longing.
He looped his arm through his mother's and walked into the house.
Mikoto Uchiha, in her wifely manner, made a cup of tea for her fiancé.
Seiya leaned back on the sofa, enjoying the cozy comfort of being home, while also looking around to see if anything had changed.
The furnishings in the house seemed unchanged.
However, the changes in the people were quite significant.
Mikoto-nee had been well-cared for at home for over a year and looked extremely healthy.
Furthermore, perhaps because of all the pre-marriage "ideological work," her current demeanor was tranquil and alluring, more like a wife than ever before.
Her upper body was covered in a loose beige housecoat that concealed her graceful figure.
The hemline passed her hips and reached about one-third of the way down her thighs.
Her lower body was not covered by pants, but only by delicate, flesh-colored stockings, smooth as a mirror, making it seem as if she were wearing nothing at all.
Seiya felt an itch in his heart.
He couldn't help but feel the impulse to reach out and touch those slender, white legs, but he ultimately held back.
After all, he and Mikoto-nee hadn't had a romantic relationship, and a premature move would be too frivolous.
It wouldn't be too late to touch her in a few months, once they were married.
...
A moment later, Karin and Shion came downstairs, having chosen a room.
The girl was slender, bright, and charming, having grown into a young woman.
Like Mikoto, she wore a loose housecoat, giving her a unique youthful vitality.
A pair of slender, soft legs were wrapped in delicate black stockings, well-proportioned and captivating.
Seiya greeted her with a smile, "Long time no see, Karin."
"Tojo-kun!" Karin responded cheerfully and quickly came over to the sofa.
Seiya nodded lightly and turned to look at Shion.
"Is the room upstairs to your liking?"
"It's good," Shion replied while politely accepting the tea handed to her by Mikoto Uchiha.
Megumai looked at her son and asked with concern, "Did you have dinner?"
"I ate this afternoon. I'm not hungry now."
Then, Seiya looked at Shion, "Are you hungry? Do you want a late-night snack?"
Shion shook her head, "I'd like to bathe and rest."
"Please follow me." Mikoto Uchiha, with a strong sense of being the hostess, took the tired Shion to the hot spring bath in the backyard.
Seiya, having returned from a long journey, was quite excited and did not feel the fatigue that matched his biological clock.
So, he recounted his general experiences over the past year or so to his equally energetic mother and Karin.
A moment later, Mikoto Uchiha returned to the living room and sat quietly nearby, listening to him share.
In fact, not much worth mentioning had happened over the past year.
It was simply encountering Konoha Team 8 in Unkai City in the Land of Rivers; meeting Iwa's 'Three Earths' in the Land of Earth;
meeting Shion and Kurotsuchi in the Land of Demons; and meeting Konoha kunoichi and the Sannin in the Land of Fire.
After listening, Karin said worriedly, "That's so dangerous! The Iwa Shinobis have too much of a counter for Tojo-kun!"
Mikoto Uchiha nodded in agreement.
Megumai laughed, "Tangible, non-damaging control does indeed greatly restrict the 'Purification' ability. However, it doesn't matter, as it can't actually hurt my son anyway."
Seiya regretted, "It's a shame I haven't mastered my Lightning Release Chakra Mode, or I wouldn't have been controlled by the Iwa Shinobis at all."
"Take your time, don't rush," Megumai comforted him, "The Lightning Release Chakra Mode is the strongest Nin-Taijutsu in Kumogakure, and very few Shinobis in the entire village can master it."
"Yes, I understand," Seiya nodded.
The Lightning Release Chakra Mode is extremely difficult, incredibly powerful, and holds extraordinary significance.
Once a Shinobi masters this jutsu, they are essentially the strongest Shinobi in the village and a shoe-in for the next Raikage.
Compared to relying on his identity as the ancestor of Kumogakure's Uchiha bloodline, Seiya hoped to become the Raikage by suppressing everyone else with sheer power.
However, this goal was too distant.
His progress in mastering the Lightning Release Chakra Mode had been stagnant.
"The matter with the Shinobi Swords was my oversight," Megumai said. She hadn't taken the Seven Shinobi Swordsmen of the Mist seriously at all, to the point of not considering the causal connections behind the swords, which nearly led to her son's identity being leaked. She felt deeply remorseful.
Seiya smiled, gently stroked his mother's hand, and comforted her, "Even the wisest person makes a mistake sometimes. Mother, you don't need to blame yourself."
Mikoto Uchiha praised, "That kunoichi named Kurotsuchi is very perceptive."
Megumai nodded in agreement, then smiled, "Shion was right to persuade you not to kill Kurotsuchi. The method of revenge is not limited to just killing."
"Kurotsuchi is Onoki's only granddaughter and will become the Tsuchikage in the future. Since you've shown her kindness, my son, you should make good use of that favor and hold onto her!"
