Chapter 52 - Foundation for the Future

Another month quickly passed, with the major project being finished within a week of construction. The major project in question was the automatic iron farm that could produce thousands per hour.

After the construction of the iron farm, many of the iron were turned into iron ingots that was stocked up in the ninja world for selling.

As for how the iron batch was stored, the sealing scrolls Kamishiro created were finally optimized to be used in real time trading, able to carry over 10 thousand iron ingots per scroll.

The invention of the sealing scrolls were hidden, only Taro and Kamishiro knowing about them, and not even the clan patriarch knew about it. The reason the two kept it a secret was because of the merchant guild itself.

The major powers throughout the world would connect the two together, once the sealing scrolls began to be sold throughout the ninja world. As a small clan having the first batch of these scrolls would garner attention from not just the Land of Wind, but from other nations.

With the creation of the sealing scrolls, Taro began to work on gathering all materials that will be sold through the merchant guild. Along with the materials, the personnel from the merchant guilds had begun their preparations and would soon leave in another month.

Another major event happened in the second week of the month, when Kamishiro saw the personal weapon of Taro, which was now imbued with multiple enchantment tables after he started using the clones for the XP farm.

"W-What's that?!" asked Kamishiro.

The katana on the back of Taro looked like an ordinary katana, if not because of the slight hint of a purple glow and some unknown language wrapping itself on the blade.

Taro raised an eyebrow and said, "Oh this? It's an enchanted sword."

Although Taro didn't say anything about where it came from or how Taro had such an item, Kamishiro knew his place and did not ask where it came from.

Instead of asking where it came from, he asked, "Can I take a look?"

Intrigued, Taro handed him the sword and asked, "Are you interested? It has unique abilities…"

Before Taro could explain anything else, Kamishiro began murmuring to himself. The feeling he had with the sword was something familiar to him, something he had worked with for years.

"Was this created from sealing jutsu?" Shaking his head, he murmured, "No, no… It's different, and the language is something I have never seen."

Taro's eyes widened. His mind raced as he knew the value of what Kamishiro just said. If the enchantments were similar to sealing jutsu, then that meant it could be replicated through sealing jutsu.

Taro believed that this wasn't just a fantasy, because swords with abilities weren't impossible to create, with the seven swords of the mist being the main example of swords with abilities.

In the original Naruto, the seven swords of the mist were created after the founding of the Hidden Mist village. The swords had unique abilities that, if used correctly, would enhance the user's strength by a lot.

As to why Taro believed that a replicated version of an enchanted sword was valuable, it was because it could stay longer than the enchanted swords he "made."

Because after all, once he died, the village he planned to make would lose all the enchanted swords, with only a few surviving while new swords will never appear. That's also one of the reasons why Taro wanted to have a merchant guild that could build up a massive power that can rely on itself, even without the near infinite amount of resources Taro provided.

Not only does the replicated swords have the value in longevity, but it can also be given to the younger generations instead of the enchanted swords. They could train with the weaker version of the enchanted swords, then move on to the more powerful one once they would be strong enough for the enchant swords.

And last but not least, instead of selling the enchanted swords that was more powerful than the swords created by sealing jutsu, they could sell the latter instead, making money while also not selling the better weapons that will only be used by their clan.

But in the end, even with how smart Kamishiro was, this would take years to accomplish. For now, it was best to sell the enchanted swords to a few who had enough money to buy them. After all, all the swords being sold would have the curse of vanishing.

But because all swords had the curse of vanishing, the swords became a premium item that could not be mass produced, as it was annoying to get the enchantment through the enchantment table.

By the time the merchant guild would set off outside of the land of Wind, Taro calculated that the swords produced with the curse of vanishing would only be around 15-20 swords.

In the end, Taro gave Kamishiro a sword that had small enchantments on them, allowing him to study while not giving him something too powerful, something Kamishiro was more than happy to accept.

While Kamishiro began his research on the swords, Taro had begun to use the blue prints on the technologies he obtained from the system. And unsurprisingly, all the resources he would need to create the technologies to cover all of the Hosai clan, even a fraction of it, was immense, something that he could not do at the moment.

So for now, he decided to wait for the Merchant group to stabilize their position in the world and accumulate enough wealth to fund his projects.

After Taro finished his work with the blue prints, the news of Mashiro and the others returning from the Hebidoku clan soon spread throughout the clan, even spreading through the Hoki clan and the Netsudoku clan.

When Mashiro arrived, a massive banquet was thrown, with the three clans being invited as guests. Although the Hebidoku clan felt infuriated with the humiliation, they soon calmed down when more autonomy was promised to them once everything calmed down.

When all three clans arrived at the banquet, many of them were shocked as the amount of food was shown in the banquet. They believed that the Hosai clan would at most, eat with a few chickens and that's it.

But after seeing the amount of food the Hosai made for the feast, the three clans began to sigh to themselves believing that the Hosai used the money from the Hebidoku clan to host the banquet.

However, compared to the Hoki and the Netsudoku clan, the people from the Hebidoku clan were happy inwardly, as they believed that the Hosai clan were foolish and hoped that they used more money so they would be weakened. Weakened enough for them to strike back.

After the banquet was finished, Mashiro could finally let out the frustration after being away from home and being mostly around with sweaty men.

And so a few weeks after the banquet, the announcement that Katsumi was pregnant soon spread throughout the clan and the three clans under Hosai.
