Weeks after the announcement of Katsumi, the entire clan had begun to calm down, and resources were soon distributed throughout the clan, alongside the two affiliated clans that helped them during the war with the Hebidoku clan.
During the war with the two clans—Netsudoku and Hoki clan—helped out by providing cruel information and some much needed medical ninjas.
The main reason why the Hosai clan could act fast and counter attack the Hebidoku clan was because of their information gathering. Without them, the war with the Hebidoku clan would likely take more than half a month to finish, something Mashiro didn't want to see.
Alongside the Netsudoku clan, the Hoki clan helped out by sending some medical ninjas on all fronts but the eastern front, where Nao suddenly launched a surprise attack. The contribution of the Hoki clan was not inferior to the Netsudoku clan, if anything, they did more as they saved dozens of Hosai ninjas from dying.
However, because the Hoki clan was famous for their healing jutsu's, a rare trait for a clan in the Land of Wind, many powers had kept a close eye on the war.
"These damn clans…"
Mashiro threw down the report given to him by Fuji who was in the room with him alongside Nori.
Mashiro sighed, "More and more spies have been seen in our new borders. And some even got deep enough to infiltrate the Hebidoku clan, trying to cause chaos."
Elder Nori, the finance elder, frowned, "Is everything going well? The merchant guild are supposed to move out about 2 weeks from now…" He sighed, "We can't let these spies know about the merchant guild. Moreover, we don't have enough manpower or money to keep control of the Hebidoku clan if they decide to rebel."
Although many of the clan members from the Hebidoku clan accepted their fate as people under the Hosai clan, many of the ninjas still had plans on rebelling, even after killing more than 60 ninjas and a powerful elder.
The only people that managed to accept their fate were the civilian clansmen. After all, no matter how much they hate or voice out their disapproval of the current situation, they have no power to do anything about it.
The candle light flickered in Mashiro's eyes, "I've told Ketsu to put a leash on his men, if he didn't want to lose anymore of his clansmen." He burnt the report and continued, "I highly doubt that they'll try anything stupid, especially when Kise is still there to manage their clan."
Mashiro turned to Nori, "Have you sent the rewards for the Hoki and the Netsudoku clan?" He paused and thought about something before continuing, "And how is the merchant guild doing? I know they'll be setting off, but are they fully stocked?"
This time, before Nori could answer, Fuji stepped in and answered for him, "All the rewards had been given to the two clans. I've given both of them 150 pounds of grain and sent some enchanted swords Taro gave me."
Mashiro frowned, "Are you sure about giving those swords to them?"
Although Mashiro knew the value of the swords, he still had a lingering skepticism towards them as he had only seen one of them actually used. He believed that some of the swords would probably malfunction, as something so destructive could never be mass produced without any faults.
At least that was his thoughts before Kise proved their power in battle, by taking nearly half of the Hebidoku clan with only a few ninjas with him. After the war concluded and all reports were sent back to him, the majority of the reports were about how powerful the swords were.
So in the end, he was a bit hesitant to send something so precious, especially when he was giving them for nothing in return, and to someone that's not in his clan.
Even after the alliance was formed, and both clans agreed to be under the Hosai clan, they were still people that only wanted benefits for themselves, not the Hosai clan.
Fuji nodded, "Yes, Taro personally gave them to me."
Mashiro nodded, as he knew his son was the one that made this, although he was still a bit skeptical whether it was true or not. But to him, it doesn't matter where the swords came from, as long as it benefited the clan, he couldn't care less.
And he also knew that his youngest son was still accumulating power, but instead of using people inside his own clan, he began using outside forces for political standing.
Mashiro couldn't help but smile at his amusement, "Anyway, how's the merchant guild?"
Fuji answered, "Everything has gone well, and the merchant is now fully stocked. With the invention of the sealing scrolls, Taro managed to stock up quite a bit of grains for the clans and the merchant guild." He paused and smiled wryly, "Although I don't know how much grains he had stocked up, he said it should be around 100-200 metric tons of grain."
With the expansion of the wheat farm in the Minecraft world, alongside a newly built bonemeal farm that was made after the iron farm, Taro had focused on nothing else but expanding his farm inside of Minecraft.
And when he was about to gather all of the harvest plus the meat, Taro ended up crafting hundreds of chests, while also making a batch of newly made slaves, the copper golems. The copper golems help Taro out by not only sorting out the items inside of Minecraft, but also by turning the wheat into grains in the ninja world.
When the golems were brought into the ninja world, they arrived with new functions, such as turning items inside chests into grains in less than a second. Not only that, but they could also clean, cook, and handle all the miscellaneous tasks Taro was too lazy to do.
After all the grains were collected and stored in the sealing scrolls, Kamishiro managed to see one of the copper golems when it was cleaning the cave. After all, Kamishiro now worked inside the cave, as he considered it his personal lab alongside Taro.
When Kamishiro found out about the little golem, he was intrigued and decided to make it his lab assistant, with the golem happily accepting as it took a liking to his new odd friend.
Speaking of Kamishiro, his status in the eyes of the important elders and Mashiro went up, after they inevitably found out about the sealing scrolls, after asking Taro about the management of stocking up the merchant guild.
Although more people found out about the sealing scrolls, Mashiro took the matter seriously and forbade all of the elders who knew about the sealing scrolls to not mention it from then on.
Mashiro's eyes widened, then he laughed, "Good, good! With that much grain, I wonder how much money the guild can obtain!"
Nori nodded, his eyes beaming with joy, "We'll know soon enough. The merchant guild planned on sending someone for a monthly visit, informing us on what's happening and also delivering portions of the money to the clan."
Nori paused as he thought of something, then continued, "Although it'll take 5 months or so for the first batch of money to be sent out. But after that, it'll be monthly."
Mashiro and the two elders smiled as they thought about how much money they will be obtaining from the guild.
Then suddenly, the door opened.
Mashiro and the two elders frowned when the person opening the door didn't knock. However, their anger soon disappeared when Taro's tiny head popped out from the small crack.
"Dad… Elder Nori and Elder Fuji?" Taro asked confusedly as he thought only Mashiro would be the only one inside the room.
"What is it, Taro?" Mashiro asked.
Taro quickly entered inside and didn't bother with the two elders, "Old man Housen told me to get the Last Will scroll from you, so he could teach me something called Ki."
Taro wanted to get straight to the point, as he still had things to do inside of Minecraft. Not only that, by being straight forward and telling them who asked for the Last Will, Taro would find out what the Last Will was all about.
However, when he saw the three in front of him who were frowning, Taro felt that the Last Will was something more important that he had first thought.
