In his room, Fang Yang suddenly sensed something. He slowly opened his eyes, ending a night of deep cultivation.

Stepping out, he found Na'er already preparing to leave.

"Na'er… you're going?"

His voice cut through the quiet living room with startling clarity.

Na'er froze mid-step, then slowly turned. Her long silver hair swayed gently with the motion.

She bit her lip, her violet eyes shimmering with conflicted emotion. "Big Brother… I'm sorry, I…"

Fang Yang quickly walked up to her, noticing the faint redness at the corners of her eyes. "Won't you say goodbye to Mom?"

"No…" Na'er shook her head gently and pulled a white envelope from her pocket. "Big Brother, I wrote a letter. Please read it together with Mom… after I'm gone."

She pressed the envelope into his hands.

Fang Yang took it, mouth opening—but no words came out.

Just as Na'er turned toward the door, Fang Yang rushed forward and pulled her tightly into his arms.

She stiffened at first—then slowly relaxed, burying her face in his shoulder, her arms wrapping around his back. He could feel her trembling.

"Na'er… do you really have to go?" His voice was low, thick with suppressed emotion.

She didn't answer—only held him tighter, as if trying to burn this final warmth into her soul.

After a long moment, she gently broke free, stepping back. Her eyes were already rimmed with tears.

"Big Brother… I'm leaving. Please take care of yourself—and Mom…"

Her voice cracked slightly.

"And… don't forget Na'er."

With those words, she turned and walked away—without looking back.

Fang Yang stood rooted in place, heart heavy, clutching the envelope in silence. Minutes passed—he didn't move.

Eventually, numb, he placed the letter on the dining table and trudged back to his room, each step weighed down by invisible chains.

---

The next morning, Lin Ximeng rose as usual to prepare breakfast.

Passing the dining table, she suddenly stopped—the white envelope catching her eye.

"What's this…? Na'er's letter?"

She picked it up. The moment she saw the name, her face paled.

"Na'er? NA'ER!"

She ran to the girl's room, pounding on the door.

No answer.

She pushed it open. The bed was neatly made—empty. Several familiar clothes were missing from the wardrobe.

"Na'er's gone…"

Her heart sank like a stone. Trembling, she rushed to Fang Yang's room.

"Yang'er! Yang'er!"

Fang Yang, who had stayed awake all night, opened the door calmly. "Mom. I'm here."

"Yang'er, Na'er she—" Lin Ximeng's voice shook.

"I know," Fang Yang said softly. "She left last night…"

Lin Ximeng stood frozen—then realization hit. "You… you already knew?"

He nodded. "She left this letter."

He gestured toward the envelope on the table.

Silently, mother and son sat at the dining table. Lin Ximeng's hands trembled as she opened the letter. Na'er's neat handwriting filled the page:

'Dear Mom and Big Brother,

By the time you read this, I'm already gone. My real family has found me—I must return to them.

I'm going very, very far away…

Big Brother, please don't come looking for me. I have something I must do.

These past three years with you… I was so, so happy.

I don't want to leave—but I have to.

Big Brother, I'll always remember the noodles you made for me. I'll always remember the candies and snacks you bought me.

And… please don't forget me.

—Your loving Na'er'

Tears streamed silently down Lin Ximeng's cheeks. "Na'er… how could you just leave like this…"

Fang Yang placed a gentle hand on her shoulder, his gaze drifting to the bright morning sun outside the window.

After a long silence, he spoke softly:

"Mom… it's good that Na'er found her true family. When we meet again, I'm sure we'll see an even greater version of her."

"Mm…" Lin Ximeng wiped her tears and forced a smile. As a mother, she understood—going back to her blood relatives was truly best for Na'er.

Fang Yang murmured under his breath:

"Tang Wulin… Na'er is gone. Right or wrong—I no longer care to explain."

Now that Na'er had left, he knew:

She was no longer the affectionate, playful little sister in his memory—

She was the true Silver Dragon King.

He walked to the window. In his dark eyes, a strange light flickered.

Deep within his pupils, golden-yellow flame danced, turning his entire irises into blazing fire.

"Na'er…"

---

At that very moment, not far away, Na'er stood gazing at the house where she'd lived for three years. Her violet eyes were filled with longing.

She whispered, almost to herself:

"Gu Yue… I really… really wanted to stay by Big Brother's side."

Every moment of those three years had carved an indelible mark into her soul.

Human emotions… were far deeper and more complex than she'd ever imagined.

"Three years… isn't that enough?"

Beside her stood another girl of similar age—plain in looks but radiating a quiet, unique presence, eyes calm and detached.

In this age of advanced technology, mecha and battle armor defined human power. With relentless innovation, humanity had even developed the legendary Godslayer Fixed-Position Soul Guidance Artillery Shells.

The spirit beasts could no longer stand against humankind.

If the beast race was to rise again, they had to control human factions from within.

Gu Yue's eyes turned toward the distant Spirit Pagoda. A cold smile touched her lips.

She had seen through humanity: strife was their nature.

Remove external enemies—and they would tear each other apart.

Allies could be discarded… but enemies? Essential.

Her plan was clear:

Seize control of the Spirit Pagoda—the very organization founded ten thousand years ago by Huo Yuhao, the God of Emotion, to aid spirit beasts.

Now, the Pagoda had rotted from within, severed ties with the Tang Sect and Shrek Academy—and even harbored grudges against them.

Perfect.

Na'er's path, however, lay elsewhere:

Shrek Academy—the strongest institution in the human world, home to the era's mightiest experts, where the Sea God Pavilion Master's name alone commanded awe across the continent.

"No… I want to stay with them forever," Na'er whispered—more to herself than anyone.

Gu Yue frowned slightly, voice icy:

"This is my fate. And yours. No one escapes their past. No one escapes their destiny."

She paused.

"We… have no choice."

"You're right," Na'er said softly. "We have no choice. But—"

She suddenly lifted her head, voice turning sharp, eyes flashing with silver light:

"If you ever hurt my Big Brother…"

The air froze.

Her voice was quiet—but absolute.

"Gu Yue… don't forget. I, too, am the Silver Dragon King."

"He's noticed us. We should go," Gu Yue said after a pause, then sighed lightly.

Na'er took one last, lingering look at the window—where a familiar figure stood silhouetted against the light.

"I know," she said simply.

The two figures faded into the distance—only Na'er's final whisper carried on the wind:

"Big Brother… if fate allows… we'll meet again at Shrek."
