"You want to fight?"

Fang Yang stood with his hands in his pockets, gaze calm and composed as he looked at Xu Xiaoyu, a faint, almost imperceptible smile playing on his lips.

Xu Xiaoyu said nothing. The air between them thickened, as if time itself had frozen.

"Brother!"

Xu Xiaoyan quickly stepped between them.

"You're misunderstanding! I just ran into them at the station. They didn't know how to get to their destination, and since we're heading the same way, I offered to show them."

She turned to Fang Yang with an apologetic look, then back to her brother. "That's all it is—really."

Xu Xiaoyu's eyes flicked between them. After a long, searching look at Fang Yang, he finally spoke:

"You're impressive. Once you break through, we'll have a proper match—fair and square."

Fang Yang nodded. "Anytime. I'll be waiting."

"Xiaoyan, let's go." Xu Xiaoyu turned to leave.

"Wait, Brother!"

Xu Xiaoyan called out, then turned to Fang Yang, a faint blush dusting her cheeks.

"Um… can I add your contact info?"

Standing nearby, Xu Xiaoyu's face instantly darkened.

Fang Yang glanced at his stormy expression and deliberately asked, "Of course—but… your brother won't mind, will he?"

Xu Xiaoyan was already tapping on her soul-guided communicator. "He wouldn't dare! This is my business."

They quickly exchanged contact details. Satisfied, Xu Xiaoyan tucked her device away and winked at Fang Yang. "Hehe—let's chat sometime!"

Then she looped her arm through her brother's. "Come on, let's go!"

Xu Xiaoyu shot Fang Yang one last warning glare before allowing himself to be pulled away by his sister.

Fang Yang watched the siblings disappear into the crowd, lost in thought.

"Wulin," he said after a moment, turning to his friend, "time to check in."

"Coming!"

Tang Wulin hurried over, and the two walked side by side toward the registration desk.

There, a black-haired girl was bent over a stack of forms, organizing them neatly.

At the sound of footsteps, she looked up—revealing a sweet, bright smile. Her phoenix-like eyes sparkled with intelligence, her mid-length hair pulled into a tidy ponytail. In the sunlight, her fair neck shimmered like pearls.

"You're here to register?"

Her voice was crisp and cheerful, warm with welcome.

Fang Yang nodded politely. "Yes. Are you a senior, sister?"

The girl's eyes widened in surprise. A few nearby student volunteers also turned, curious.

"Wow—no way!" she exclaimed, half-laughing. "You two are this strong—and coming to Donghai Academy?"

She quickly pulled out two forms. "I'm Liu Yuxin, first year of the Senior Division. I'm in charge of new student registration."

"Here—fill these out, and please show me your junior academy recommendation letters."

Tang Wulin, age 9, Level 15 Plant-System Soul Master, Martial Soul: Blue Silver Grass.

Unbeknownst to Tang Wulin, Fang Yang's intervention had not only awakened his bloodline potential but also granted him a second Martial Soul: the Hao Tian Hammer.

Since fusing his soul spirit, his meditation efficiency had soared—and his cultivation speed had accelerated dramatically.

"What? Your martial soul is Blue Silver Grass—and you've already reached Level 15 at age nine?"

Liu Yuxin scanned Tang Wulin's form, her lovely eyes widening in disbelief.

Her lips twitched slightly, voice trembling.

Isn't Blue Silver Grass the legendary "useless martial soul"? Supposed to be nearly impossible to cultivate…?

Yet he's already Level 15 at nine?

Then she looked at Fang Yang's form—and gulped audibly.

"What?! You're also nine… your martial soul is Elemental Flame, and you're already Level 29—a Soul Grandmaster?!"

She stared, utterly stunned.

That little Red Mountain Academy in Aolai City… actually produced TWO prodigies like this?!

What kind of junior academy is that?!

"Just luck," Fang Yang said with a modest shrug, though his tone was calm.

If not for the notice at the bottom of the form—"Per school policy, all information must be truthful"—

he wouldn't have revealed his strength so openly.

Better to stay low-key when you're new.

…Though if someone insists on testing me—do I really need to avoid their edge?

After completing the paperwork, Liu Yuxin waited for a few more new students and their parents to gather, then led everyone onto the soul-guided shuttle bound for Donghai Academy.

Inside the cabin, she stole glances at the two extraordinary newcomers, curiosity bubbling in her chest:

What kind of legends will they create here?

Soon, the vehicle arrived.

"The academy's here—please disembark!" Liu Yuxin announced.

One by one, students stepped off the shuttle and followed the senior volunteers into campus.

"The Academic Affairs Office is over there—go register," Liu Yuxin pointed to a nearby building, addressing Fang Yang and Tang Wulin. "The Intermediate Division dorms are behind the main teaching building. If you need anything, feel free to come find me in the Senior Division anytime!"

"Thank you, senior sister," the two boys said in unison.

Liu Yuxin gave them a playful wink, then turned to greet other new arrivals.

After parting ways with her, Fang Yang and Tang Wulin quickly made their way to the Intermediate Division Academic Office.

A middle-aged teacher was already waiting for them.

As Donghai City's most prestigious institution, Donghai Academy comprised two divisions: the Intermediate Division and the Senior Division.

Admission to the Intermediate Division required only a recommendation letter from a junior academy in a neighboring city.

While junior academies taught the basics of martial souls and soul cultivation, the Intermediate Division focused on practical application—how to wield one's martial soul effectively and chart a path for the future.

The Senior Division, meanwhile, was true advanced cultivation—only those with exceptional talent could ever hope to enter.

"Good morning, Teacher. Here are our recommendation letters," Fang Yang said, stepping forward with Tang Wulin.

"Very well."

The teacher took both letters and opened Tang Wulin's first. His eyes brightened as he read.

"Red Mountain Junior Academy… Tang Wulin… Martial Soul: Blue Silver Grass… Level 15 Soul Master?"

He looked up, a look of genuine approval on his face. "To reach Level 15 with Blue Silver Grass at your age—truly remarkable."

He pulled a student ID from his drawer and handed it to Tang Wulin. "This is yours. Your dorm assignment is Room 205."

"Thank you, Teacher," Tang Wulin said politely.

The teacher then opened Fang Yang's letter—and after just a few lines, his head snapped up, face etched with shock.

"Fang Yang… Red Mountain Junior Academy… Martial Soul: Elemental Flame… Level 29 Strong-Attack Soul Grandmaster?!"

Fang Yang seized the moment. His voice was clear and confident:

"Teacher, may I room with Tang Wulin?"

"Well…"

The teacher hesitated. By regulations, students of vastly different talent levels were housed in separate zones.

But faced with such a prodigy making a simple request…

"Alright," he relented. "I'll assign you to Room 205 as well—though you cannot be in the same class."

He handed Fang Yang his student ID.

"Thank you, Teacher," Fang Yang said, accepting it with gratitude.
