Chapter 35 - [35] Ohara Engulfed in Flames

"Sakazuki, execute the Buster Call!"

"Yes, sir!"

Sakazuki, who had finally heard those words, had an excited glint in his eyes.

He hadn't forgotten that Ross referred to him as a candidate for admiral during the live broadcast.

After all, it was a Buster Call. If his status were too low, people would always question it. His status as a candidate for admiral was just right.

Moreover, this title was merely a tacit approving designation within the Marine; it didn't actually represent an official position. Even if Ross were to use this designation, it wouldn't have any real impact.

Now it was his turn to shine.

Boom!!!

Under the watchful eyes of the world, Sakazuki's legs transformed into lava, propelling him into the sky.

The mere act of setting out was enough to elicit gasps from countless civilians and stares from all pirates with bounties below 100 million.

"Meteor Volcano!"

Sakazuki clenched his fists, like two volcanoes poised to erupt, aimed at the sky.

Immediately afterwards, an indescribable energy surged within his body, transforming into endless waves of heat and light. Sakazuki's fists suddenly transformed into two magma cannons, their power so immense that it caused the heavens and earth to tremble.

Boom!

Boom!

The deafening roar was like thunder, shaking every inch of the air and the hearts of the audience.

Every second, hundreds of magma jets shot out from his fists like angry fire dragons. Each jet was the size of a basketball, scorching and dazzling, streaking across the sky and leaving behind a series of brilliant trails.

Instead of falling immediately from the air, the lava, under Sakazuki's astonishing control, seemed to be bound by invisible chains, suspended in the sky, forming a flowing ocean of lava.

The lava swirled slowly in the air, weaving into breathtaking patterns that were as dazzling as a meteor shower in the sky, yet carried a destructive power.

In a normal battle, once the lava was emitted, it would already be under Sakazuki's control and pouring down.

But this time, in order to achieve the best display effect, Sakazuki chose to build up his strength first.

With his physical strength at the time, he could spew lava like that for a whole day.

The difficult part was actually controlling the lava in the sky to prevent it from falling.

Ross stood quietly at the bow of the ship, admiring the fiery clouds in the sky.

Such a magnificent scene alone was enough to give viewers a shock.

When lava spread across a 100-meter radius above the Tree of Knowledge, the common people looked on with awe, while the pirates, numbering in the millions, showed fear.

When the magma expanded to 500 meters, even pirates with a bounty of 100 million showed fear.

When the magma expanded to 1,000 meters, even the greatest pirates in the New World wore solemn expressions.

Meanwhile, upon learning that the World Government was broadcasting the Buster Call live, many people began to gather around the screen to watch this hard-won spectacle.

Even some of the kings of the New World, upon hearing the news of the Buster Call, joined in with the intention of watching the spectacle.

This was around the time when the magma sea had expanded to 2000 meters.

At this moment, the ocean of lava had spread across the sky, as if a natural disaster had struck.

Seeing this, both Dragon and Whitebeard, who were watching the live stream, couldn't help but show solemn expressions.

It wasn't that they felt they couldn't win, but given the natural disaster power displayed by the Logia type, even if they won, all their nearby companions would be wiped out.

Only lone wolves like Red the Aloof, or great pirates like Big Mom who don't care about their crew, can take Sakazuki's performance in stride.

Boom!!!

Two hours had passed by the time the magma had accumulated to a depth of 2,500 meters.

At this moment, everyone was watching the live broadcast intently, and many people were betting on how far Sakazuki's move could go.

Only a few strong individuals could have guessed that Sakazuki was nearing his limit.

If Sakazuki could continue to expand his territory, his strength would be on par with Whitebeard's, which was never going to happen.

But after Sakazuki's demonstration, no one doubted that he had the strength of an admiral; at most, they thought he was still a bit behind Whitebeard and others.

Sakazuki's eyes already showed signs of strain; this was pretty much his limit.

Even so, the ocean of lava had completely covered the Tree of Knowledge.

"Meteor Volcano!"

Sakazuki roared.

With this command, the ocean of lava in the sky seemed to be pulled by an invisible force and began to slowly tilt.

The magma suspended in the air, like raging meteors freed from their restraints, poured down on Ohara with earth-shattering power.

The lava flowed down from the sky like a volcanic eruption, tearing through the heavens with a heat so intense it could melt everything and boundless power, hurtling towards Ohara. The entire island seemed to be submerged in a fiery red ocean, with nowhere to escape and nowhere to hide.

Sakazuki's power was on full display at that moment. The lava flow was like a natural rage. Wherever it passed, solid rock and lush trees were instantly melted and reduced to nothing.

The thousand-meter-tall Tree of Knowledge at the center of Ohara Island was the first to be hit. Lava rained down on its trunk and branches like a storm, instantly engulfing it.

The Tree of Knowledge's massive form appeared so fragile under the ravages of the lava, as if it were merely a small plaything under Sakazuki's power. The trunk crackled as it burned in the lava, and the branches and leaves withered rapidly in the scorching heat, turning into wisps of smoke that drifted away.

If the Tree of Knowledge was like this, then the houses and buildings on the island were reduced to ashes almost instantly by the torrent of lava.

The air was filled with the pungent smell of burning and the suffocating heat of the lava, as if the whole world was engulfed in Sakazuki's flames.

On the nearest warship, Ross and his crew could feel a wave of scorching heat hitting them.

The expressions of everyone on the boat were all different.

Ross narrowed his eyes slightly, simply admiring the magnificent fireworks display before him.

He was amazed by Sakazuki's power, but he knew that one day he would reach that level.

And the fruit he chose might have an even stronger effect than Sakazuki's.

Zephyr was the calmest of them all. Although he hadn't seen Sakazuki make a move in a long time, he had previously estimated Sakazuki's potential.

Seeing Sakazuki's current strength, Zephyr's eyes showed a hint of relief.

Gion, Zane, Stella, and the other girls also watched silently, but their eyes were filled with awe for the strong. Even for Zane and Gion, it was the first time they had ever seen an admiral unleash his full power.

If it were a one-on-one battle, they wouldn't stand a chance against an Admiral-level expert.

Olvia and Robin, mother and daughter, had the most complicated expressions. As they watched the Tree of Knowledge burn in the raging lava, tears streamed down their faces.

What was burning was their homeland.
