After leaving Robin, Ross quickly went to Olvia's room.
Aside from what he got from Sakazuki, these two women were his biggest takeaway from Ohara.
He couldn't help her much in her career, but he could bring her a lot of fun.
Given his current status, pleasure and enjoyment were far more valuable than material comforts.
Without even knocking, Ross pushed the door open.
His gaze swept across the room and quickly settled on Olvia sitting at her desk.
Because of the ship's recent shaking, the room was in disarray, with bedding and chairs overturned on the floor.
But Olvia made no attempt to help; she simply stood in front of the desk, protecting the historical document on it as she read.
Even the sound of Ross opening the door didn't attract her attention.
"So engrossed?"
"Saint Ross!"
Olvia was startled by the sudden voice, but she relaxed after realizing it was Ross.
After weighing down the documents with heavy objects to prevent them from flying away, she leaned back in her chair, panting.
She didn't even dare to change her posture, for fear that Ross might change his mind.
Right now, she had no other thoughts but to study the Poneglyph carefully and take advantage of an opportunity when Ross and the others were not paying attention to spread them all.
It didn't matter if there was no opportunity; she would leave behind the translated history. As long as it wasn't discovered, someone would eventually find it and make it public.
This was the wish of all Ohara historians, and she must fulfill it.
"How far have you progressed in your research on the history of the current world government?" Ross asked.
Olvia was probably the most authoritative historian alive today; only the old immortals of the Holy Land probably knew more than her.
He was quite interested in learning about the history of the world.
But he certainly couldn't find out from the Celestial Dragons. He figured out that the Celestial Dragons were either idiots or riddle-makers.
Even if he went to Satan to ask, he probably wouldn't get any answers.
Much of history had been sealed away, and only the Five Elders were qualified to know it.
"I know a bit about it, Saint Ross. What would you like to know?"
Olvia felt some pain in her body, but she tried to ignore Ross's movements and focus on what Ross was saying.
If Ross liked history, that was definitely good news for her.
"Tell me about your knowledge of world history, starting with the origins of the Sea Circle Calendar," Ross said casually.
He didn't expect to hear any exciting news from Olvia; he'd be happy if he could learn some little secrets.
"OKAY."
Olvia had hoped that Ross would like history, so that she could have a better research environment.
She simply relaxed her body completely, gathered her thoughts, and began to speak:
"Our known history begins with the Sea Circle Calendar, which is the beginning of the current world order."
"1,500 years ago, for unknown reasons, the world's foundation sank 200 meters, and the continents that were originally connected were separated. This phenomenon lasted for decades and formed the current world pattern."
"We designated the day when the world underwent a tremendous change as January 1st of the first year of the Sea Circle Calendar."
"What about before the Sea Circle Calendar?" Ross asked with interest.
He wasn't a stickler for historical accuracy before, so he hadn't paid attention to these kinds of messages.
Lowering the foundation by 200 meters was no small matter.
"The Sea Circle Calendar was formerly known as the Celestial Calendar. Much of the history of that era was submerged under the ocean, so I don't know much about it."
Olvia thought for a moment, then said:
"According to the information collected by Ohara, the heyday of the giants and fishmen should have been during that period. However, some unknown event later caused these two races to disappear from the historical stage."
"It is said that during the Tianli era, most humans were slaves of various powerful races and had no power to resist."
"It was also from the beginning of the world's upheavals that the human race completely became the protagonist of the world, and the whole world began to enter a chaotic era of internal strife among humans."
"In that era, each island was a human nation, with all kinds of fleets expanding outwards, and other races were overwhelmed by the creativity of humans."
"It really was a magnificent era." Ross raised an eyebrow.
"Indeed, it was a chaotic but prosperous era. The level of chaos was far more intense than the current Great Pirate Era, to the point that almost everyone was a soldier and everyone was a slave."
Olvia nodded seriously, ignoring Ross's subconscious gesture.
Every time she talked about that period of history, she felt a surge of emotion.
"By the way, although we don't know how your family history is recorded, according to the incomplete historical information we have obtained, the Jaygarcia family was first recorded in historical documents in the 138th year of the Sea Circle Calendar."
"So early?"
Ross raised an eyebrow, signaling Olvia to continue.
He had thought that the Celestial Dragons had suddenly risen to power during that Void Century, but upon closer reflection, it was impossible for all of them to be suddenly powerful figures who could gather the strength of 20 nations to create a World Government 800 years ago; there must have been many established and powerful nations.
"Yes, there are records on Jaygarcia Island. In the 138th year of the Sea Circle Calendar, the Kingdom of Jaygarcia was established, and the first king was named Salun."
"At that time, the Kingdom of Jaygarcia was still very weak. It took 400 years of growth and expansion to become one of the strongest kingdoms in the South Blue."
"Then came the year 700 of the Sea Circle Calendar, the World Government was officially established, and the Jaygarcia family abandoned their ancestral home and became one of the Celestial Dragons."
Olvia's eyes flickered; this was all known information.
However, there was no historical record of how the Jaygarcia family became Celestial Dragons.
Before the establishment of the World Government, the last recorded information about the Jaygarcia family was in the year 583 of the Sea Circle Calendar, which happened to be at the beginning of the blank 100-year history.
The same was true for the other Celestial Dragon families. They visited the ancestral homes of all the Celestial Dragon families, and found that some of them did not even have any historical information.
What exactly happened in those 100 years? The creation of a world government by the joint efforts of 20 kingdoms was a monumental achievement, worthy of being recorded and celebrated in history.
But why would a world government erase that history and forbid anyone from studying it?
What exactly happened during those 100 years?
Ross looked amused; he knew perfectly well what Olvia was thinking.
This was to try and get some information from him, or to pique his curiosity.
Unfortunately, he knew nothing about it and had no intention of investigating it.
However, the ancestral home of the Jaygarcia family was definitely worth a visit.
This was a world that valued bloodlines; you might even find some treasures left by your ancestors.
