Yuuma pulled out a stone dagger from his pocket, which he found in the Serrakha's quiver and kept for himself. "B-Back off..... Back off before I tear you into pieces!! M-Monster!!!" threatened Yuuma, still shivering in fear.
"You dare to threaten me kid?! You've got appreciable courage!!", replied the snake lady.
She suddenly noticed the stains of blood on Yuuma and coldly said, "You are the one... You are the one to kill my children. You deserve punishment. I'd not just swallow you.... I'll chew you, slowly... munching each of your organs nicely... I'll start with sucking and chewing your lungs.... Then I'd be tasting the sweetness of your kidneys... Don't worry my child! You won't die instantly..."
The Snake monster's words made Yuuma tremble in fear, forcing him to take a step back. Shikito was already frozen in fear, tears streaming down his face...
The face of the woman disappeared within the mouth of the snake and again emerged from its previous position below the snake's face. The snake stared at the at the canopy floor below, and smashed its head on the ground, driving itself in, making a hole in the ground...
"What the hell...." cried Suzume.... The ground trembled, cracks appeared...
"WATCH YOUR GUARD!! SHE CAN APPEAR OUT OF ANYWHERE!!!!" screamed Yuuma, throwing off the branch and jolting towards Suzume and Shikito...
The three ran across the forest, hoping to get away from death...
The ground ahead of them burst, and the monster emerged, roaring. Before they could notice, the monster had leaped on them, mouth wide open. But, Shikito with all his might, grabbed the mouth, pushing it away...
The lady's face swiftly emerged from the snake's mouth, her fangs ready to devour Shikito...
But, before she could reach Shikito, Suzume grabbed him and pushed him away, and Yuuma leaped and stabbed the woman's eye inside the snake's mouth with the dagger.
"ARGHHH!!!! YOU LITTLE BASTARDS!!!" the monster screamed in pain...
By the time she removed the dagger from her eye, the three kids had already run away...
"W-We won't be able to r-run away from her forever..." said Yuuma, heavily breathing due to exhaustion.... "L-Let's run separately.... If destiny wished, we would meet again...."
"In t-that way, she would devour each one of us one by one!! United, we can fight her!!!" argued Suzume. "Y-YOU!! YOU THINK WE WOULD BE ABLE TO FIGHT A MONSTER?!!!" screamed Shikito...
"WE HAVE TO FOLLOW YUUMA'S PLAN.... IT'S OUR LAST HOPE!!" screamed Shikito....
The three looked at each other...
"Farewell" said Yuuma..
"F-Farewell" stammered Shikito
"Farewell!!!" cried Suzume
The common thing? Each one of them was sobbing in fear.... Fear of a painful death.... As their paths separated, Yuuma heard the voice of something getting thrown.
Soon, he felt a surge of pain on his back....
He checked back with his hand while still running... He felt a dagger stabbed on his back, the same one he used to stab the monster's eye....
He looked back in horror, still running.... From the fog emerged the monster, slithering towards him, the woman's face creeping out from the snake's mouth, grinning...
