Chapter 14 - "I'm The Boss"

The towering glass of Meryem textiles shone brightly against the sun as both the enormous office hall and the parking lot filled with the bustling workers, employees. They dressed neat, sharp in earth tone blazers--Sipping their latte as they made their way in the complex.

Within the rush hour many murmured excitedly on the return of their boss--Ayse, who was now wedded. The hall was magnificent--with its fine orangs tinted lights, cozy couches, granite pressed walls and seventy-five floors, the place was an eye-candy itself for ambassadors.

Ding* The elevator gate lifted showing the floor beyond. From the group of employees--a women tugged at her pockets, with the slight stride of her auburn ponytail--she made her way to the front desk attendee.

Maria...!

she greeted the red-haired women with a slick smile. She lifted her eyes from the screen--Her lips curled as she too greeted back,

"Layla... good morning"

Yeah... what is with you? I didn't even see you during the wedding?

To that Maria's brows furrowed, "What wedding?" green eyes flickered back to the screen as she typed away. Layla hummed, glossy nails tapping at the marble desk,

"You didn't know... I mean you would, if you checked your E-mails" Maria let outs a soft sigh as she tucks a strand of hair behind, her eyes swiftly read through the messages--then,

M-Married...? Layla nods her head as she shots her a look. Just then, the murmurs began to grow loud, some halted their walks.

Deniz Hakan & Ayse Hakan made their way in, hands locked, attires sharper than blade. The air seemed to shift as Maria's mouth parted.

Wa-What? she glanced at Layla's gaze. Layla turned to her as Maria cranes her neck,

Is that... Deniz Hakan Nur? she whispers--to that Layla nods. Just as they passed by, Ayse stops, Nur gives her a questioning look, though she tells him to wait.

He watched her go and approach the front desk. Layla and Maria turn as Ayse walked up to them, her hands hovered over Layla's shoulders as she tilted her head and warmly greeted her. She then does the same to Maria.

"How was everything, while I was away?" Layla and Maria both smiles and tells her that everything was alright. To that she nods, "Good to hear"... she hums* her eyes then unknowingly flickered to him--Nur. Her voice faltered as he watched her without looking away.

Ayse murmured something then walked off--returning to him. they watched them leave, "They make a striking pair" Maria's voice trails off.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Back in floor 50-The elevator door parts--the two stepped out as Ayse took the lead. Nur followed her behind; they both then entered the office door. Ayse let out a soft breath, her eyes wandered over the walls as she let her fingers graze the wooden desk.

He watched her unraveling the room as if it was here birthplace. "Missed it too much?" Ayse's eyes were closed as she hums, yeah... her eyes fluttered opened as her brows shot up. She then turned and gives him a slight glare. Though he just watched her, not at all bothered.

She sighs and strides to the desk, planting both her arm-her eyes darted as if to count the years. A faint smile forms her lips, "What would you know about missing something?" she sweeps her eyes up to him. "You are just like the others, thinking you could buy anything money"

Ayse... his jaw hardened, don't talk without knowledge--Oh...me? I talk without knowledge? she raises to her feet, walking to him.

"Really Nur... after all these times... after everything that happened?" she tilts her head, studying him. "You are pathetic" she spat. Nur glanced down at her, feeling his hands clench as he then ran a hand through tousled hair. "You forgot that we are here for something else"

Ayse's brows creased, "-And what's that? huh?" He walks in near, making her eyes falter as she began to step back. Hakan... she warns, what are y-her back hits the table as she slightly arched herself against it. Clutching at the edge of the desk.

She watches as he leans in, his sapphire orbs flickered against her own, chiseled jaw ticking like time as that unbearable, clogging scent made her breath weak.

Ayse... his voice came out raspy; "we are here for business" she watches him* just like our marriage, this is all part of the contract, "and you know... he turns his head to the walls, you must obey them"

he then returns his eyes to her, further leaning in, planting both his palm on either side of her thigh on the desk--"Now, be as the respected daughter of the Yildizs you are and bring me "Altın iplikler's case folder" Ayse's lips parted, H-How did you...? I knew about it for a long time, he retorted backing off. "In fact, everyone knew--it wasn't a secret that you signed a deal with them"

Ayse's lips drops in a slight sulk as he watches. She then glances up at him, she thought about fighting back, maybe saying something like, "This is my company, who are you to evaluate my credentials?"

What is it Ayse...? he waits, tilting his head, watching her slightly bite at her lip. Okay... a mumble* Nur tilted his head, "Well then I will be waiting for them" he then walks to the door,

at my office, by 5:00... he turns to see her above his shoulder. Ayse nods reluctantly as he stepped out. She then flops to the rolling chair, hands shotting up to her temple.

Gosh... she murmurs. Just the thought of this being the daily routine tugged at her-making her migraine worse.

What a great way to start the day...
