Chapter 16 - "Maybe I could live with this"...

The sound of the pitter-patter of the shower moved across the room of Nur Hakan, as moon light spilled in through the glass-stained windows. Giving the place a warm glow.

Just then--Door to Hakan's door twisted opened as inside stepped in Ayse. Her steps slow careful as she clutched at a file.

Just put it on his desk...and leave! she murmured to herself. Barely a sound as she strode to his desk, her eyes swept the scattered-up papers. A hint of guilt flashed at her; he seemed so busy... yet remembering his attitude she places the folder on the desk.

With a roll off her eyes, she began to walk towards the door--Just as her hands grazed the knob. He cleared his voice, "Sneaking in?"...

Ayse's breath caught as she stops dead in her track. Act like you forget something...! act like you forgot something...! *

Nu... she internally shakes her head* H-Hakan... she turns facing him. Her face flushed, heart racing as she stared at him. Nur Hakan, he stood there with just a bath robe, the damp locks of his hair fell to the bridge of his nose as he tilts his head. As if waiting on an answer.

Hakan... Ayse murmurs as he gazed at her, "I f-forgot something in here"... Nur's brows shot up in amusement, oh... he steps in closer, is that so? He stood just five feet away from her, craning his neck to meet her face, "Well... did you find it?" a whisper.

Their eyes locked as they stared at each other for few seconds* Ayse's eyes flickered to the desk then to his face.

Nur watched as she let out a deep sigh, her brows slightly held a frown. Tucking away a strand of her hair in her veil, she inched in, lowering her voice,

"Hakan, I'm not going to do this with you"... Nur's brows shot up as Ayse realized how bad it sounded. Heat rose to her cheek.

I-I meant... He tilted his head and watched her in amusement. "I meant that I will only cooperate if you do the same" she continued.

His veiny hands grazed the back of his head, "Well, of course" a murmur. Ayse let her eyes trail--then, "That was all I wanted to sta--say"

Nur nods as she then leaves. The door closing behind her.

His lips then curled into a absent minded chuckle as he strode to his desk, upon flopping on to his chair. Nur's eyes caught the out of place folder among the pile of papers. He picked it up and began to read. The more he read about the agreement the more he learned about her.

Ayse... he murmurs in an absent-minded tone, gazing at the ceiling. The agreement went as he thought--she broke it at the end as the decline of production of the company, Altin was nothing sort of a coincidence. The company was neck deep in debt--they were trying to find a moron who would work with them then sell the company to them.

A pleased chuckle left him as he placed it back, well...not so innocent now, is she?
