Nur Hakan stood, heart heavy with something he couldn't name as he then walked back and forth in his bed chamber. The enormous glass window of the room showcased the mighty Istanbul night. As lights flickered in the towering buildings of the city. Nur's eyes fell to the window then a sigh broke him. The weight of the ceremony still pressed on to him as he then grazed his neatly trimmed beard.
Gosh...
His eyes flickered against the dimly lit candle's flame, they then darkened, "Do you accept Deniz Hakan Nur, the son of Emre Yunus Hakan as your lawful husband?" the elder man's voice rang out thrice. Nur then gazed at her, his Ayse from the corner of his lashes. Tears pooled over her honey orbs as she dropped her head,
Y-Yes... I do... his jaw tensed as he was asked the same, he mustered up the courage, then he too said the words, "I do" sealing them together.
The elder man then raised his palms as they all prayed, "Allah (God) we today witnessed this reunion of two hearts. Make this pair your dear servant and give them righteous children so they may succeed.
Ameen... the rows of murmurs followed as Nur gazed at a shuddering Ayse. His hands clenched, she was crying... she didn't want this...
His pov: My boots clicked against the marble floor of the chamber as I then clasped my arms behind my back. Feeling a nauseous sensation, I let out a staggered breath.
"I'm married"... the sudden realization made me flop on to my bed as my back met the mattress. I then raised my palm up to my face, hand gazing at the protruding veins and the cold ring latched on my finger like a warning.
"She belongs to me"... He lets out a low chuckle in disbelief as their past conversation played out like something between a waltz and a nightmare. Ayse Azra Yildiz... that little fire crackle...
Enough...! she had shaken her head, gazing at me with those eyes filled with nothing but hatred. The night breeze gently tugged at her lavender colored veil as it then made it flutter. She looked graceful...so much so that, I involuntarily tilted my head. Taking in her nimble frame, how she shuddered with my every move.
S-Stop! she yelled once more. My feet moved against my will as she backed off.
"What is it that you want me to stop?" my voice came out low, husky, eyes searching for hers. Her lips parted yet barely anything came, "You know who you are?"... her voice sizzled with rage, "A bastard"... "A cold bastard who is very unlikeable"
I felt my body tense as I heard the words coming from her, my eyes widened. "Ayse...I'm aware that everyone is against me"... I stepped in closer, voice pained, But you...? In that moment I saw a flicker of recognition, yet it went away as it came.
When everyone was against you... I took your side, I said...
she sucked in a breath, I said, "My Nur wouldn't do that... he couldn't"... her eyes then pressed as she leaned in closer, "he has good conscience"... she gazed at him, studying his empty face,
"Woe to me"... her lips quivered, "I damned myself"
Nur's gaze was locked on to her, though inside he was breaking, one by one, slowly. This was Ayse, his Ayse spun on her heels, moving her palm against her cheeks as she wiped away the last bit of tears. Like thunder-she stormed off, never to turn back because not even for another second she wanted to be near him. Not after everything.
He had watched her go, crushed, defeated by her mere words. Though those weren't just words, he knew those were promises, her profound realization of his true dirty self. Ayse was now clearer to the stain on his palm that he fought so much to hide,
Though...not anymore, he could do that.
