Zehra readied her madam, Ayse as she then expertly braided her hair. Glancing at her nimble face glowing under the dimly lit candle room-her lips curled in a warm smile.
My eyes were to the floor as I gazed at the hem of my scarlet attire, I gritted my lips, feeling the bitter-sweet taste of peach. My fingers then shot up and grazed against the zipper. Gosh...they were like shackles, tied to me as if I was a mere prisoner.
I gazed at my caked-up face. My brows creased as my palm shot up to my cheek. I felt disgusted... for whom am I preparing for...?
I then recalled the whole ceremony, how I had stayed silent when he... held my hands. The guests watched on, muttering to another. The haze of cologne clung the air as I gazed at my father. He stood proudly not a care about a burning little me. My throat closed up when the elder man asked, "Do you, Mrs. Ayse Azra Yildiz accept Deniz Hakan Nur, the son of Emre Yunus Hakan as your lawful husband?"
"I -I... my voice trailed off as my eyes then flickered to my father once again, he watched over me alike a hawk. His jaw tightening with every passing second, hands clenching like warning as he then tilted his head.
I then glanced back at the elderly man, then at Nur beside me. He said nothing, heck he didn't even seem to show a lick of interest. My head fell as I then nodded in defeat,
"I do...I do"
sealing my fate in the hands of a tyrant. Someone who I swore to never face.
Not after that incident...
That night had been the cruelest, I had clutched at the children of the orphanage that I was sponsoring. The day had been long as the headmistress, Mrs. Defne gave me a tour.
Her eyes were kind yet saddened by the news of a new construction project that was happening right near the orphanage. I took her hand and comforted her.
"Everything will be alright"...
But...Hakan enterprises are on board with this project and... you know how shady they are...
My eyes fell, The Hakans, my relatives. An unmountable guilt washed over me as I gazed at the troubled mistress's face. They and the vulture of a company they got....
My eyes lingered on the children as they drove to me. I parted my arms and crouched down. Kissing their foreheads; I wished them a good night sleep. Their eyes twinkled with joy as tiny arms clasped my waist.
I gazed at them down, ruffling, Ahmed, one of the orphans' hairs. He then smiled at me back with the most adorable dimples on both side of his cheeks.
What is it? Did you like the movie my dear? her voice softened as she then met the little boy's eyes. Ahmed nodded as he then gave her a swift hug and fled.
Her eyes then trailed off to him as Mrs. Defne smiled, "That is Ahmed, he is one of our kids in the special program"
Ayse's eyes then shot to Defne, do you mean he is...? Defne gaze her a nod as she then gazed back at the child, her heart clenched.
The night fell as the orphanage grew quieter. The children went to their respective beds as I laid on a mattress myself. Lips curling as I then drifted into oblivion. Not even an hour passed--the sound of wailings crashed through me as my eyes fluttered opened.
the room was thick with this sinister darkness; my eyes darted to the corners. Nothing. I got on my foot. The sound of the children's sleeping filled my ears as I then made my way to the exit. Heels clicking against the cold tiles.
My groggy eyes fell to the knob as I then clutched at it, pushing it open-- the cold air carrying a strand of my hair from my veil. I stepped out.
My feet trudging against the mud as I heard a low mechanical rumble. My heart dropped. I glanced up, it was a bulldozer.
I gazed at it, frail, helpless as it then inched in closer, brushing away the debris, the head of it was positioned to strike the fragile chimney of the orphanage as I then fled in.
My trembling hands flickered on the lights as my frantic gaze woke the children up.
What happened... What happened? the hush of whispers filled the area as Mrs. Defne rushed in. We locked eyes as hers held the same fear mine did.
We jolted with the sound of a crash. As I then clutched the children's hands so did Defne. We then fled the area then the smell of dust shot up my lungs. The sound of coughs became imminent as we soon reached the exist--Though the door was stuck. Defne pounded on it yet nothing, it didn't even budge.
The machinery then flattened half the place as its pace then slowed. I and others have collapsed on to the rubble as the heat of the night was suffocating. My eyes weakly flickered at the trails of destruction, knowing that it came from the very people I called family...
My body soon gave up as I then passed out with a shudder.

--Madam... Zehra called for her, making Ayse snap out of her thought. She shot her a look.
"It's time"... those two words made her stomach twist as she then smiled at me warmly. "You look gorgeous" her voice came out low, awed as she then held my hands.
I gritted my lips, "I don't know Zehra"... I have never... Zehra's hands patted at mine, "You will be fine my madam, you will be just fine"... I assure you that...
I gazed at her then reluctantly nodded. As we both then rose to our feet.
