Chapter 2 - The Yildizs...

The iron gates of Yildiz's manor stood outside the Taksim square and Istanbul, far away from the public eyes, away from the people. Not even an unidentified fly could go past the heavily armed atmosphere. Guards wore crisp black attire; fingers pressed against earphones. Their eyes darted which were hidden by the black glasses they wore--as if to not give away a breath. Inside of the manor were long, elongated hallways painted in brown gold with pristine marble floors which were pressed down along Venta black tiles. The manor shone with its elaborate ornaments and the chandelier that hung above in the middle which complimented its already marvelous grandeur. The corridors were etched with past events, scandals, betrayals and whatnot.

Though within this cold atmosphere--The laughs of the estate's madam bounced out. The edges of her magenta chiffon veil fell to her shoulders as she leaned over to feed a kitten. Its sapphire-marble eyes fluttered at her, making her giggle softly as she took it in her arms. Softly cradling it alike a child.

To her right stood by Zehra, her maid, her friend in this palace. She clasped her arms and watched her madam act alike a child, her lips curled.

Ayse gazed at Zehra, smiling graciously. "We should come here often... you know, I too wither away in the corners of my chamber"... she pouted, delicate fingers still grazing at the animal.

"Most certainly mam" Zehra murmured, seeing you smile after so long was delightful" She then added. Ayse's eyes fell, "What can one do Zehra? after thatcruelty?" her voice pressed as Zehra internally scolded herself.

My apologies madam, I shouldn't have--"Don't" Ayse cut her off, she then turns her head to the sun kissed pond, her eyes traced over the waves of the pristine water.

It actually makes me feel better after talking about it with someone... she then returned to her, "For I have always kept to myself"...

Zehra gave her a hesitant nod. Soon, the sound of footsteps fell as both women turned.

A guard came from behind, his eyes were low, on the ground as he spoke with command, "Mrs. Yildiz... your father calls on you"

She gave Zehra a quick, questioning glance then returned it to the guard,

"Whatever for?" she gets up*

"I'm not sure young madam" he replied with a dry tone. Ayse gazed at Zehra, she then sighed walking away, following the guard.

--------------------------------

The door to the manor's most off-limits room clicked opened as Inside sat a greying Mr. Burak Doğan Yildiz, facing to the wall. His fingers absent-mindedly grazed at his withering beard.

The guard ushered Ayse in as he then retreated behind, quietly. She stepped in, clasping her hand behind her waist, "I heard you called me...father?"

He hummed, voice coming out a second later, yes...I did...

She then fluttered her lashes, eyebrows furrowing, this was Burak, her very assertive, straightforward father, a man who believed time to be too sacred and wasting it was nothing less of a sin. Though he now sat on his rolling chair, thinking away into oblivion.

Well...? Burak's head tilted as his hunter gaze roamed, "I asked for you to be in my presence because I have made a decision...which you should know"

A decision...? He nodded slowly then, "I decided to get you married" Ayse's lips parted yet barely anything came. Her mouth felt dry, hands dropping to her sides as she shook her head, M-Marriage...? I'm getting married?

Burak's voice felt silent as he felt her contemplating on his words. What is this father...? her hands clenched as she spoke with that same tone. Burak's jaw tensed, with that same authority of her mother.

Why... father? why...? she pleaded, perhaps... you are tired of me? her eyes fell as Burak internally shook his head. This was his pampered daughter, the fruit of his love with her mother. Ayse... He will give even his own life for her if needed. Though this was her mother's wish, for her to get married.

It was his as well...

Please dad... her lips quivered, tucking away a strand of hair that threatened spill as she shook her head, "I cannot be married, I do not wish to"

He knew he cannot fall for this, not again.

My decision is final Ayse. She shakes her head, eyes glistening with tears* I'm not going to talk you through this. You are getting married and with none other than The Hakan's son.

Hakan's son... her eyes wandered, it then hit her. N-Nur...? He says nothing other than "dismissed"

No... you cannot do this! she protests as guards rush in. Burak without turning he orders them. Two guards clutch at her as she was then taken away.

YOU CANNOT DO THIS!!! NO!!! FATHER!! NOT TO THE HAKAN"S!! her voice muffled out as the door then went back to being shut.

Ah...not to the Hakan's... she dropped her head as the guards then left her to be. As Ayse sobbed, with every shudder of her shoulders, a part of her broke.

Nur... a name that felt like acid on her tongue. Not him... she clutched at her hands.

Zehra when her madam didn't return--She strode to the main study. She stopped when the wailings of Ayse became clearer. Her eyes then felt to her nimble figure.

Madam...! a breath then--Zehra sprinted to her. What happened? she asked flopping to the ground beside her. What happened...? what happened? she asks--N-Nur...

Her brows creased, "I'm getting married to him"... Zehra's mouth dropped, Nur...? Ayse nodded as she leaned over to Zehra's shoulders. Zehra embraced her, oh my lady... her voice trailed off...
