Bryan's POV
I stared at Alice who was still holding the phone looking like she'd seen a ghost, and I grabbed it from her hand because Daniel couldn't be dead, we'd just left him tied up at the hospital in New York less than twelve hours ago.
"This is Bryan Hale," I said into the phone. "What do you mean Daniel Morgan is dead?"
"I'm very sorry Mr Hale," the lawyer Rebecca Hayes said and she sounded genuinely sad. "Daniel was in a single car accident on his way to the airport, his vehicle went off a bridge and he was pronounced dead at the scene."
"That doesn't make sense," I said because Daniel had been perfectly fine when we left him. "Are you sure it was him?"
"The body was identified by dental records," Rebecca said. "And Mr Morgan left very specific instructions in his will about contacting Mrs Alice Hale immediately upon his death."
"What instructions?" Alice asked taking the phone back from me and putting it on speaker so we could both hear.
