Alice's POV
I screamed when I heard Sophia say those words through the wire and everything around me went blurry for a second because this couldn't be happening, not again, not when we'd just started to build something real.
"Alice breathe," Thomas said grabbing my shoulders and forcing me to look at him instead of the laptop screen where Victoria's wire feed was still playing. "Just breathe, we don't know if she's telling the truth."
"Why would she lie about that?" I asked and my voice came out broken and weak, I hated how weak I sounded but I couldn't help it because the thought of Bryan having another child with Sophia made me want to throw up.
"Because she's trying to manipulate Victoria into doing something stupid," Thomas said in that calm logical way he had. "Think about it Alice, if Sophia really was pregnant with Bryan's baby why would she tell Victoria first instead of Bryan, it doesn't make sense."
