Bryan's POV
The hospital waiting room was where Alice sat next to me, one hand on her stomach where our twins were growing, the other gripping mine so tight I could feel her pulse through her fingers.
Lucas had been asking for us before surgery and that alone made my skin crawl because the last time I'd seen my twin brother he'd tried to lock me in a basement and impersonate me at Alice's delivery.
"Mr and Mrs Hale," a doctor came out wiping his hands on his scrubs, he looked exhausted like he'd been working for days without sleep. "Your brother is stable enough to talk but we need to prep him for surgery soon, he doesn't have much time."
"What happened to him?" I asked standing up and pulling Alice with me carefully because she was seven months pregnant and moving wasn't easy for her anymore.
