Alice's POV
I stared at Antonio standing in the doorway, alive when he was supposed to be dead, and my brain couldn't process what I was seeing.
"You're dead," Bryan said, his voice hollow. "I watched you die in the ambulance."
"You watched someone who looked like me die," Antonio corrected, walking further into the room and checking Catherine's pulse. She was still breathing but unconscious from the gunshot to her shoulder. "My brother Andrew wore a wire with a fake heartbeat monitor, when it flatlined everyone assumed it was me."
"Why would Andrew do that?" Victoria asked, moving closer to examine Catherine's wound.
"Because I paid him to," Antonio said, pulling out zip ties from his pocket and securing Catherine's hands behind her back. "Fifty thousand dollars to fake my death so I could disappear and investigate Marcus's operation without anyone knowing I was alive."
