Han Lin blinked. "Eh? Of course you are. You're Third Bro's girlfriend."
"That's not how it works," Elena said calmly. "I'm his girlfriend, not his wife."
"Enough!" Jin Di snapped, pulling her into a tight hug.
"What is wrong with you?!" Elena hissed, thoroughly confused. She wanted to stomp on his foot, but restrained herself. She would give him face—just this once.
The three men exchanged glances and wisely stayed silent.
Realizing he'd overreacted, Jin Di softened. "Sorry, baby. I didn't mean it. Let's eat, okay?"
She didn't answer, pointedly looking away.
Qin Xufeng cleared his throat and quickly took charge. He instructed the staff and led everyone toward the lakeside.
They stopped beneath a large wooden pergola wrapped in thick grapevines, cool shade spilling over them. The lake beyond shimmered, reflecting the sky and drifting clouds.
A kitchenette and grill sat nearby, and a long table was already set with flowers from the garden.
