In the large council room of the uzukages tower sat a sea of crimson haird shinobi, from the clan head himself, to the former head, heads of branch families and some of the more prominent jonin of the village.
The room was filled with ambient chatter until the large double doors to the room opened to which kōga and his mother kiyko entered, greeting those in the room.
Kiyko being the lady of the clan took her seat to her husband's right while kōga took a seat to his left, on his right sat his grandfather, Uzumaki Ashina.
"Greetings grandfather!" Greeted kōga with a slight bow.
"Ah, kōga-kun, I'm glad to see your in good health!" Ashina said his voice light and happy.
He was a grandfather of 2, mito his eldest grandchild had long left the clan to marry hashirama of the senju clan. Now he only saw kōga frequently.
"Cough!" A cough broke the conversations going on in the room. The person who coughed was the current head of the clan, Uzumaki Jun, a man who looked to be in his late 30s, with short spikey crimson hair which had 2 bangs hanging from the temples.
"Now that everyone is here let's begin." He said sitting up properly. "First out of the 100 shinobi we sent to the land of fire, only 84 made it back, we lost 2 jonin, and 12 chunin." He paused his heart aching at the lost of said shinobi.
Many of the clansman sitting in the room closed their eyes in pain. To the clan, family came before all else, as a village could be rebuilt, a new island could be found to settle on, but death was death, and there was no coming back from it.
"The families of the fallen shall be properly compensated, those who had children who wish to be shinobi, shall be nurtured!" Jun said his voice heavy.
Jun took a breath before speaking again. "Many of you know that kōga was sent to the land of fire to gain experience in leading large groups of shinobi in war time, another thing is that kōga has been officially added to the bingo books!" He finished, procuring a standard bingo book.
Flipping through the pages until he found their kōgas entry, he handed said book to his son.
Kōga took the book, intrigued.

Kōga closed the book and then looked up. "I'm guessing kumogakure is responsible for this aren't they, they've never hidden their lust for our clans bloodline." Kōga said placing the book 1 side.
After that, the council went on to discuss about the villages revenue and mission quotas from other island nations and smaller nations on the mainland.

After the council meeting, kōga walked home with his mother and grandfather, around them were clansmen acting as gaurds.
Although Uzushiogakure was an island nation and quite isolationist at times, it didn't stop others from trying to infiltrate the village.
"So what do you plan on doing now?" Kiyko asked her son, who thought for a moment before speaking.
"I had to stop my jutsu and fuinjutsu studies because of the sudden need to head to the mainland." Said kōga as he began rubbing his chin. "I have a few ideas in my mind that should they work shall push our clans understanding of fuinjutsu, safety and strength to new heights." Finished kōga.
Ashina perked up at the fuinjutsu part, as many knew Uzumaki ashina was responsible for konohas standard fuinjutsu system. Literally the man was known as konohas father of fuinjutsu.
"If you have any questions about fuinjutsu you can come to me!" Said ashina with a smile.
Kōga returned the smile with 1 of his own and a nod, he'd need to discuss the theory of yin and yang release with seals.
