Noel stopped in his tracks as he was about to climb onto the edge of the pool. Alastair asked him something that made him fall silent.
"Why do you trust him so much? Are you sure he's part of your family?"
The Omega man turned his head, looking at him as if questioning the Alpha's words. What made the Alpha so sure he could ask such a thing, when it was clear that Regis was his family?
Even in his nearly 22 years of life, Noel had never once thought that Regis wasn't his brother. It was obvious that this man had raised him since the death of their parents when he was only 6 years old.
It was impossible for a young man to willingly sacrifice his youth and his life, even his freedom, just to take care of a 6 year old child and take over their family's mafia business.
He was certain that Regis was only 19 years old at the time, an age when a young man should be searching for his identity, but Regis was forced to assume the identity of a mafia boss.
"Hahaha... You're so funny! It's obvious that he's my older brother. We even have the same hair color. There's no doubt about it," replied Noel, who didn't seem to take this very seriously.
Though deep down, he suddenly felt doubtful about it, all because of one question from a stranger.
"Maybe you're right. Maybe I'm the only one who thinks he's not your brother. Forget it, I was just joking with you," replied Alastair, laughing along with him as he swam closer.
When Noel climbed out of the pool to check his phone, his face turned pale. He immediately looked panicked, which made Alastair feel confused.
"Shit, shit, shit! He's gonna kill me!" He cursed himself when he saw all the notifications on his phone. He was sure that Regis was looking for him right now, even sending people to track him down.
"What's wrong?" he asked, walking over and standing behind Noel. He glanced at the Omega phone and saw a lot of notifications.
He found 35 missed calls and 73 unanswered messages on his phone. Of course, they were all from Regis. And that was what made Noel really scared, not even knowing what to do. The reason was that he just remembered that Regis had told him to come home at lunchtime.
"Damn, it's already 4:12 p.m. What should I do? He could track me down and find me at this villa. If he sees you, you could be in danger too!"
Something inside Alastair was touched, knowing that Noel was worried that he would be in big trouble if Regis's men or even Regis himself saw him.
That's when he got the idea to take Noel home to his mansion through the back door of the villa. It was a path that only he knew about, and it did indeed pass through fairly dense trees.
"I can take you home before they arrive here. If we leave by car, I'm sure it will attract attention. Plus, the back exit of the villa passes through dense trees and only motorcycles can pass through it," he said.
"Okay! Then I'll go along with your plan and go home immediately." He nodded in agreement with the plan and immediately gathered his clothes.
While Noel was getting dressed again, the Alpha man called his trusted man to find someone who would open the front door of the villa later.
"Bring her here, Ken. I need her in 5 minutes. Move fast!" he ordered.
As planned, this time Alastor would ride the sports bike they had previously used to escape. They left through the back of the villa to avoid Regis' men finding them.
Sure enough, two black SUVs arrived in front of the villa and immediately tried to enter.
At the door, they encountered an old woman who asked who they were.
"We are looking for someone. He's a male Omega, with brown hair and blue eyes. His cell phone was detected here, so where is he?" asked one of the men in black suits.
"An Omega? There's no one here but me. I'm the one who takes care of this villa because my master is out of town. It seems like you're looking for the wrong person," replied the old woman with a trembling voice due to her age.
At first, they didn't believe her and forced their way in to search the place. However, the old woman didn't allow them to enter, and there were many CCTV cameras in the villa. If they dared to break in, she would immediately call the police.
Feeling that they couldn't find what they were looking for there, they finally left the villa because one of the other members said that Noel's cell phone signal was no longer detectable in that place.
"The signal disappeared about 10 minutes ago. It seems like he has escaped from this place or something happened. I can no longer track his cell phone signal," said another member who was monitoring through his laptop.
"Damn! If this is the case, Mr. Regis will be furious with us!"
Meanwhile, Alastair sped the motorcycle to quickly reach the Ashford mansion. He was confident his plan had successfully deceived them, at least to buy time until they left the villa area.
Finally, they stopped at their usual meeting spot. Noel got off his motorcycle while holding his skateboard. He took off the helmet he was wearing and gave it to him.
"Today was so much fun! Unfortunately, I can't stay as long as I did yesterday because Regis seems to be getting suspicious of me. Maybe next time we can go with a clearer reason that I can tell him. What do you think?"
A sly smile appeared on the mafia boss's face, intrigued by the offer because he wanted to continue meeting with his omega.
"Sure. I'll find a way for us to have more time to meet and spend time together again. Until that day, keep your older brother from getting suspicious, you understand?"
He nodded and used his skateboard to glide back to his family's mansion. Alastair watched him from where he stood, making sure the Omega returned safely.
He couldn't wait for the moment they would meet again and spend time together. He would find a way to make it happen, and he was sure he would find it without leaving any suspicion or conflict between them.
The Alpha mafia then started his bike engine again and turned away, heading back to his own mansion. He thought about all kinds of scenarios in his head so he could be with his omega again.
"Until that day comes, sit tight, my dear. I will definitely come back for you."
