On campus, specifically in the cafeteria at the university. Noel and his friends were gathering for lunch. They were discussing several things that he had missed while he was absent from class.
Suddenly, a group of jocks entered the cafeteria and their eyes immediately fell on Noel's table. Especially their leader, Mike.
The students looked excited when the Alphas walked into the cafeteria. They were wearing the same green and white team jackets, which looked so cool to them.
"Oh, speak to the devil. We were just talking about him, and now he's here, walking straight over to us," said Falcon.
Sure enough, Mike and his football team walked straight over to the table and stood near Noel. They were a group of big, tall, and strong Alphas. They were very popular among the Omegas, because, of course, that's what the Omegas liked.
"Hi Noel, I finally get to meet you. I heard you haven't been to the university for the past week, but luckily I get to meet you now. I'm sure you—"
"No, no. Can't you see I'm busy sitting with my friends? I'm also having lunch, so can you and your friends not disturb us?" asked the Omega without waiting for Mike to finish speaking.
Without any fear, he cut off the man's words, as if he didn't care about his status.
"You're so funny. I haven't even finished my sentence. I just wanted to ask if you wanted to join us," Mike asked, finishing his sentence.
"Didn't I already answer your question? My answer is no. It doesn't matter whether you've finished your sentence or not. My answer will remain the same," he replied indifferently.
He waved his hand at Mike and his friends, shooing them away.
One of the jocks was unhappy with Noel's attitude towards them. He felt that they, as Alphas, were being looked down on by him, who was only an Omega. It was clear that everyone wanted the opportunity to be with them.
But Noel refused before their leader could even finish speaking.
"Didn't you hear what he said?" asked William. "Noel has already refused your invitation, so you guys should leave."
Javier and Falcon nodded in agreement.
"Come on, why did you refuse my invitation? I invited you nicely. Are you sure you don't want to accept my invitation?" Mike asked again.
"No. Don't you understand? You still understand human language, right?" Once again, he refused the invitation.
The rejection was witnessed by many students in the cafeteria, making Mike and the others feel embarrassed. Mike felt especially embarrassed because he was the one who invited Noel to sit with them. It was as if his self esteem as an Alpha desired by many had been damaged by Noel's rejection.
The people in the room immediately began whispering, watching him like a clown rejected by an Omega.
"Come on, Mike. We'd better just leave. Besides, there are plenty of Omegas out there who would want you over this ugly one!" said one of his teammates.
The others nodded in agreement. "That's right! Why would you invite a nasty Omega like him? He doesn't have a cute face like other Omegas."
However, Mike remained silent. This time it wasn't because he really wanted Noel, but because he was annoyed at being humiliated in public.
THUD!
He slammed the table where Noel and his friends were sitting, causing some of the items on the table to fly up. His three friends also jumped a little in surprise.
"Don't you dare refuse my invitation! All Omegas want this, and you're one of the lucky ones who can have it. You ungrateful bastard!" he said in a challenging and threatening voice.
A terrifying pheromone even left his from his body to make Noel submit to him. Falcon and William, who was a Beta, did not sense the pheromone. As for Javier, he felt that the pheromone Mike left made him so angry.
Especially since it was directed at Noel, who had refused his invitation.
"Retract your disgusting pheromones before I really beat you up!" he said, responding with his own terrifying pheromones.
The cafeteria felt tense at that moment, with the conflicting pheromones affecting some of the Omegas there, causing them to break out in a cold sweat because they were so scared.
Noel felt the same way. No matter how strong he was, biologically, he was still an Omega, and the two strong Alpha pheromones were affecting him. His face was covered in cold sweat, and his body was trembling slightly, even though he was trying to hold it in.
'Fuck, fuck, fuck!'
Falcon and William, realizing this, immediately separated Javier and Mike. William quickly covered Noel's head with his jacket, meanwhile Falcon chased Mike and his team away.
"Shooh shooh! You guys are disturbing us. Don't you realize that you are causing a commotion here? Don't make me report this to my father if you cause trouble here!" Falcon threatened because his father was the rector of the university.
The threat caused them to immediately retreat from there.
"Tch, you spoiled brat! Just wait, I'll get you back!" said one of them before leaving.
Javier sighed in annoyance, then tried to calm himself and his pheromones down. This eased the tense atmosphere that had previously existed.
Checking on Noel, Falcon pulled William's jacket away from the Omega's face and saw that Noel was feeling better.
"That damn Alpha shook you pretty hard. It's really annoying," he said.
"My head hurt so much when he did that." Noel massaged his own nose bridge, sighing.
As if the problems were never ending, just as he was feeling calm for a moment, William spoke again, pointing towards the cafeteria entrance.
"Your lover seems to have arrived!" He spoke in a teasing tone as Dalton ran towards Noel.
The man waved his hand, like a little boy approaching his mother. Noel felt really embarrassed, even though he had been friends with Dalton for a long time, Dalton's childish attitude sometimes annoyed him.
"He is not my fuckin lover."
His three friends laughed, well aware of that man's habit of always following Noel wherever he went.
"Hey Noel! Didn't you forget that after class we have a plan to work on our assignment?" he asked.
"You mean Ms. Deborah's assignment? Today?"
Dalton nodded his head. Since they would be going home at 2:00 p.m. that day, he invited Noel to work on the assignment outside.
Actually, Noel didn't want to do any assignments at the moment, especially since he had just returned to college after a week long break. But he had no other choice. He had to submit the assignment next week.
"Alright, we can work on that assignment today."
At the same time, a student sitting not far from Noel's seat overheard their conversation and pulled out his phone to send a message.
"He's leaving with a Beta today."
