Being an orphan had it's perks too. Spending his days outside hew saw both bright and dark sides of this world. One of those things are the toxic relationships and all kinds of people there are. He also knew about the false dreams and ridiculous fantasies the people carried.
Afterall he slept on streets for few months and understood the nature of them after these people parted ways. Digging pits for one another, trying to extort money, blackmailing etc.,
Well, in short he witnessed all kinds of filth that he is not surprised if something outrageous appears anymore.
Molly Weasley placed a hand on Harry's shoulder and said," no need to be nervous. We're magic folk too. Ronald here is also first year and it's his first time boarding the train. Harry looked blankly as Percy, George and Fred did as Molly said and disappeared. Harry looked shocked while Damian moved his cart and entered the passage too. He saw the platform 9¾. He couldn't conceal his surprise and amazement.
After using magic to levitate his luggage and get it into an empty compartment, he took a book and started reading. Just then Harry knocked on his door," uh, Damain can I come in? ", he looked at little bit shy when asking that. Damain nodded as Harry dragged his luggage.
As the sounds of that disturbed Damain he frowned and pointed to Harry's luggage," leviosa ", this is an advanced version of levitation charms Aberforth taught him. The luggage floated up which startled Harry but before the boy cam react it's neatly arranged on top rack and bottom neatly.
Harry turned to Damain with surprise in his eyes," you know how to do magic ", Damain said," I studied few things before the school starts and had some practice ", he didn't mention Aberforth. That will be a secret to keep. Harry asked," what? You studied magic in holidays. I opened the books and each time, I felt my head throbbing with things I didn't understand ".
Damian nodded he indeed experienced the same. But he persisted and focussed on key points instead of everything, he noted down main things and ignored anything that is added to extend just words. After few discerning views, he managed to extract what's needed to learn.
As he is immersed in the book, a knock on the door made them turn to see a redhead awkwardly leaning against the door," sorry, other cabins are full. Do you mind if I sit here? ", Harry turned to Damain who nodded. Harry said," not at all. Come in ".
Ron like Harry dragged his luggage. Damian frowned at the sounds of scratching Ronald dragged his things. With a irritated look, he took out his wand which made Ron flinch. Damian just waved the wand while reciting the spell," leviosa ".
The luggage levitated and settled on top stands. Ron opened his mouth in disbelief while Damain put away his wand and continued reading. " That is wicked mate ", Ron said. Damian gave a small smile and said," thanks ", he is a kid afterall. He also enjoys some small things like this.
But he didn't intend to show off, it is just irritating to hear the sound of those trunks and luggage scratching the floor. As Ron took a seat he said," I'm Ronald, Ronald Weasley by the way ", Harry said," I'm Harry Potter. Nice to meet you ".
Damain said," Damain Knight ", Ron looked at Harry and asked," are you really Harry Potter? ", Harry nodded with a shy smile. Ron then asked," do you have the, the? ", Harry asked," the what? ", Ron said in a low voice," the scar ".
Harry showed his scar on the forehead while Ron exclaimed," wicked ", Damain just looked up. For some reason, he felt unsettling looking at the scar. He only felt like this when he used the obscurus. He heard the full story, voldemort tried to kill Harry with killing curse, the ultimate one shot spell in wizarding world. Yet the boy survived with a scar while Voldemort wasn't seen after that.
Must be the killing curse, he heard it's a vicious dark magic that will kill anyone and if you keep using it, your soul will damaged and corrupted by dark magic. Must be the effects of the spell. Afterall, such a powerful dark curse will definitely leave residual magic power and its causing him to get unsettle as he looks at the scar. This is just his guess though.
