"I see. We'll just stick with Writer for now then. Also you forgot to say over, over."
Xaiden smiled, she's actually pretty nice. "Sorry, I'm not used to this. Over"
"I could tell. I'm not exactly either but I'm still following the rules better than you. Over."
Or maybe not, Xaiden straightened up in the chair, feeling on edge again. "I'm learning. Radio's aren't really my thing, also, isn't this some super rare channel or something like that? Why are we worried about rules when no one else should be able to access it?"
"What are you talking about? This is a common frequency around here. Over."
"Look who doesn't know about radios after all?" Xaiden chided jokingly. "I don't know the exact details, but my friend repaired the one I'm using and he said it's extremely rare and there's only two that we know of."
"I don't know what you're talking about, I'm using a basic radio installed on a wall in my basement right now. Everyone I know has one of these too. Over."
"This is above my head honestly. You can talk to my friend about it later." Xaiden ran a hand through his hair, "Um, so you say that everyone you know has one like this, where do you live?"
"Nice try, but I know a bit about stranger danger, and you won't even give me your name. Over"
"Okay, well what do you want to talk about then?"
"Tell me about Zenith! Over"
"That's so boring, what could I tell you that you don't already know?"
"What are you talking about? There's so much that books don't cover. I want to hear about how you feel when you walk out your door and there's pink blossoms falling from the trees above you, or what you think when you look at a world covered in lush green. Also, you're still not saying over, over."
"Are you blind?" Xaiden asked haltingly. "I don't mean to sound disrespectful or rude, I'm genuinely curious. Oh, eh, over."
"Of course I'm not blind, silly. I bet it's the first question anyone else would ask too. Don't you want to know about Aurelia? Over."
"What's Aurelia? Over." Xaiden asked inquisitively, he leaned forward, instinctively knowing that the conversation was finally getting somewhere.
"Oh, right, you guys call it something else. Gosh, what was it again? I should have paid more attention in school." Nivra paused, then clicked back on, "Oops, I meant to say, Over! You're rubbing off on me. Over."
"I apologize again if this sounds a bit rude, but are you in a compound somewhere? Over." Xaiden asked cautiously. This girl was really strange. Every time he thought he was getting closer to getting an answer on where the other device was, she said something strange.
"Compound? I'm not sure what you mean by that. Is that a question people on Zenith would find rude? Over." Nivra asked.
"This is really frustrating, it feels like we're talking in circles." Xaiden complained.
