Chapter 151: New Talisman Clue
Silas guessed that all this was the work of the organization behind the scenes. Even if it wasn't, there was a huge connection.
"We have to go to Stark Tower!" Peter quickly said. Whether this was a trap or not, for safety, they absolutely had to go to Stark Tower.
"We definitely need to go to Stark Tower." Silas paused, then continued, "You go and notify Stark. Just tell him someone is preparing to move on his tower."
"Okay." Peter nodded. He should warn Mr. Stark to be careful. Peter's only regret now was having told Mr. Stark about Klein earlier. If Mr. Stark knew that Teacher Klein had eaten people, he didn't know what the situation would turn into.
What Peter didn't know was that Stark already knew about it.
Leaving the Shadow Realm, Peter found a phone booth and called Stark.
Silas, meanwhile, remained in the Shadow Realm.
"Little Black, take the Black Shadow Corps and sweep the area around Stark Tower. Check for anyone with suspicious behavior, and most importantly..."
"Find Klein!" Silas commanded. Since Klein was supposed to be ambushing at Stark Tower, he must be nearby.
Little Black nodded and bowed, "Yes, Master." He then led one hundred Black Shadow Ninjas toward Stark Tower.
"What about me, Master?" Big Black flexed his muscles and asked. Now that he had become strong, he couldn't miss a chance to prove himself. Of course, that Little Black using missiles was cheating in Big Black's eyes! Not at all what a ninja should do.
"You?" Silas silently lowered his head. He seemed to have forgotten about Big Black.
"What's wrong, Master? Did you... forget me?" Big Black looked at Silas's expression. He never thought his Master would forget him like that.
"No!" Silas quickly interjected, then came up with a random lie. "Actually, I was about to give you a very important mission."
"I knew Master wouldn't forget me! Tell me, Master! No matter how difficult the mission is, I will complete it without flinching." With his powerful new strength, Big Black decided to stop being timid. He was roused!
"System, redeem the next Talisman clue," Silas immediately thought to himself, watching Big Black's distracted state.
In an instant, Silas's consciousness returned to that space.
This time, the gray space was completely different from before. In the sky, four Talismans were spinning: the Pig, the Snake, the Tiger, and the Monkey.
"I wonder what this Talisman will be," Silas said, looking forward to it. He hoped for a practical Talisman this time.
Cluck-a-doodle-doo! A rooster crowed. A morning sun rose in the distance, warming the land.
"It looks like the Rooster," Silas said. Although the Talisman hadn't appeared yet, the sound was clear. A glowing red rooster strutted from the distance, its puffed chest showing its high spirits. Snap! The scene turned into starlight, which formed the shape of a rooster in mid-air.
"Let me see what the clue is." Silas gently tapped the Rooster Talisman with his finger.
The starlight scattered again, then slowly formed a passage of text.
[The Rooster may not crow, but it still shines like the Sun]
"???" Silas looked utterly confused. What kind of problem was this? At least the Monkey Talisman had led to the Sun Wukong clue. This Rooster Talisman didn't even point to a definite target. However, this clue was somewhat similar to the Snake Talisman clue. Could it be referring to a specific breed again?
But since the clue had been redeemed, Silas immediately withdrew from the space, patted Big Black's shoulder, and said, "Big Black, are you ready?"
"Ready, Master," Big Black stood up straight, chest out and stomach tucked in.
"Good. Then the task of deciphering the Talisman clue is now in your hands," Silas told Big Black the clue, then left.
Big Black was left deep in thought: should he ask the Master to help him switch his brain, instead of just giving him strength? Big Black felt extremely wronged. He took a risk to gain power, and now he was being asked to use his brain. It would have been better not to risk it in the first place!
"Come out, brothers," Big Black said.
As soon as he spoke, the Talisman Squad appeared behind Big Black. The Captain comforted him, "Big Black, we've been through this. Believe in yourself, you can do it."
"But I haven't seen any of you decipher a single clue. You all just find them using the Talisman locator. Anyone can run errands," Big Black couldn't help but complain.
Just with that casual remark from Big Black, the Captain's gaze changed. The Captain clapped his teammates, who were playing cards behind him. The teammates immediately threw down their poker cards and surrounded Big Black. One of the ninjas quietly slipped a card out of the deck with his foot.
"Big Black, do you know how hard it is to find a Talisman?" the Captain listed. "Look at the Pig Talisman time—we were almost caught by the German police!"
"And look at the Snake Talisman time—how much sacrifice our teammate made. To get the Talisman, he specifically dressed up as a woman to avoid drawing attention, only to receive all kinds of harassment along the way."
"And the Tiger Talisman! Uh... there was no danger, but think about the Monkey Talisman! If we didn't have so many brothers, we would have nearly been beaten up by a bunch of monkeys."
The Captain poured out how hard it was to find the Talismans, saying it was incomparable to Big Black, who stayed at home playing game consoles.
"Aww~" Big Black yawned, turned to the Captain, and raised one finger. "I'll fight ten of you!"
"What?!" The Captain never guessed Big Black would be so brave as to challenge ten of them.
"Hmph! We only have nine, so you'll have to settle for us nine teaching you a good lesson," the Captain looked down menacingly at Big Black, who was sitting down.
Big Black stood up without a word. As his bulky body rose, his aura instantly overwhelmed the Captain's. Looking up at the tall Big Black, the Captain realized that the Master's dark magic was incredibly powerful, turning a skinny guy into a strong man in an instant.
"Just you little shrimp?" Big Black sneered. "I'm sorry, I'll fight one hundred!"
Then, a dense cloud of shadows surged into the room. Black Shadow Ninjas emerged, staring at Big Black, each carrying a coffin.
"Haha, bring it on!" Big Black shouted fearlessly.
Big Black was a Black Shadow Ninja who had been magically enhanced by Silas. If he couldn't even defeat one hundred ordinary Black Shadow Ninjas, did he deserve this power?
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
The others put down their coffins. They exchanged glances and all made a decision! They were going to beat up Big Black! He was simply too arrogant.
