Chapter 147: Shot in the Head
"F*ck!" The man poked his head out and saw Spider-Man on the balcony and Destiny flying in mid-air.
"Ugh~" Peter groaned, gripping the web with some difficulty, and shouted, "Hurry!"
As soon as he spoke, the Spider Squad leaped out of the shadow behind Peter, moving along the web toward the helicopter. They intended to capture the school attackers alive.
Silas, Peter Parker's brother, flew next to the helicopter and clearly saw the four people inside.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Seeing Silas fly over, the man immediately took out a pistol and fired three shots at Silas's chest without a word.
Clang! Clang! Clang!
All three bullets were blocked by the Blacklight armor. It had borrowed materials from Tony's suit; there was no way mere bullets could penetrate it. Silas's eyes turned cold. Though the man hadn't harmed him, he had thoroughly angered him.
"Who are you? What is your purpose for being here?" Silas grabbed the man by the collar, lifting him high. If Silas released his grip, the man would instantly be smashed to a pulp.
"Do you think you're a savior?" The man mocked Silas. Even though his life was in Silas's hands, he showed no fear of Silas.
"Aren't you afraid of death? I guarantee you'll be nothing but pulp if I let go," Silas threatened.
"So what?" The man laughed maniacally and said, "Death is merely another starting point."
"Hmph~" Seeing how defiant the man was, Silas decided to use another ability of the mask. The red light in his eyes gradually faded, revealing the dark, hollow eyes underneath—eyes that seemed to trap anyone who gazed into them.
"Look at me, you little sh*t!" Silas whispered harshly.
"No~ No!" The man frantically hugged his head, shaking in Silas's grasp, as if he had seen something terrifying.
"Tell me~ Who sent you?" Silas interrogated.
The man's lips moved slightly. Just as he was about to speak, Bang! A bullet struck him in the head. It exploded like a watermelon, scattering brains and blood everywhere. Most of the splatter hit Silas. The white brain matter smeared across his mask, slowly dripping down.
"Are you alright! Si... Destiny!" Peter almost blurted out Silas's name in his panic but quickly corrected himself.
"I'm fine." Silas released the headless corpse in his hand. Plop! It fell to the ground. The current Silas was no longer the naive boy he once was. Having gone through a baptism of blood, this was not enough to faze him.
He turned his head to the left. The person who had been there was already gone, leaving behind only a Barrett sniper rifle.
"They run fast." Silas looked down at the corpse on the ground. The Blacklight armor on his body was stained crimson with blood. He looked like a demon crawled out of hell, radiating a terrifying aura.
After the Spider Squad helped get the other people out, Peter let go of the web in his hand. Boom! The helicopter crashed to the ground and was destroyed.
Peter quickly went to Silas's side and saw Silas covered in blood and brain matter.
"Oh no~ you're covered... Ugh~" Peter nearly vomited, but his strong mental fortitude helped him stop.
"Doesn't it look like black bread covered in ketchup and cheese?" Silas joked. He did this to help Peter relax a little. Sure enough, seeing that Silas was still in the mood to joke, Peter's nausea subsided significantly.
"You should really go clean up," Peter said, trying to avoid looking at Silas and glancing around.
Silas nodded and entered the Shadow Realm.
Shadow Realm
Katchink! Crack! At Silas's signal, the Blacklight armor instantly self-disassembled and flew onto the nearby experimental bench. The mask on his face dissolved into black mist, and the brains stuck to the mask vanished along with the mist.
"What happened, Master?" Little Black quickly said upon seeing this. "Alpha, cleansing."
"Yes, Little Black." Alpha, the artificial intelligence, went online and rapidly controlled the mechanical devices to come to Silas's side. The Black Shadow Corps had already removed his soiled clothes, and the device began to wash Silas's entire body. Little Black came beside Silas and helped wash his hair.
The cleaning device sprayed an odor-removing fragrance. The smell of blood was instantly covered, replaced by a light floral scent—not too strong, just right.
"This is Alpha?" Silas asked after cleaning his body. The machine was now blow-drying his body.
Before Little Black could reply, Alpha said, "Yes, Master, I am Alpha. It is my pleasure to serve you."
"Doesn't seem like an artificial idiot," Silas teased.
"Of course not, Master. Alpha is the strongest artificial intelligence in the world," Alpha boasted.
"Oh?" Silas raised an eyebrow. "Then do you know Jarvis?"
"Jarvis?" Alpha was puzzled. It didn't know Jarvis. In reality, it couldn't be blamed. It had been in the Shadow Realm since its inception and couldn't communicate with the outside world at all. Therefore, it had no knowledge of an AI named Jarvis. In fact, there were many things it didn't currently know. However, if placed in the outside world, Alpha could quickly access the internet to learn human knowledge and expand its knowledge base.
"Little Black, didn't you let it get acquainted with its predecessor?" Silas asked.
Little Black shook its head. "Not yet, Master. Alpha is still quite incomplete. I was worried about unforeseen changes, so I thought it was best to be cautious."
"Fair enough." Silas said no more. After the Black Shadow Corps put the final jacket on him, he left the Shadow Realm.
"Alpha, clean the Blacklight armor, then replace the Blacklight System, and integrate with the Blacklight to assist the Master in more advanced battlesuit operations," Little Black immediately commanded after seeing Silas leave, instructing Alpha to take over the Blacklight System.
"Understood, Little Black. Replacing Blacklight System... Removal complete." After Alpha finished speaking, the Blacklight armor moved on its own, assembling into a humanoid form in mid-air. The cleaning device rapidly scrubbed the armor of stains.

"This matter is not simple. We'll take it from here." Coulson finished giving Peter instructions and turned to leave.
"No, I think I can handle it." Peter clenched his fists. He had a premonition that those people were definitely connected to Teacher Klein.
"Peter!" Silas appeared behind Peter.
Peter turned and saw Silas, completely clean. He smiled and said, "Wow, cool! Silas, how did you clean up so fast?"
"Wait, Peter, I don't think I'm fast at all," Silas's smile suddenly froze, and he spoke to Peter seriously.
"..." Peter didn't know how to respond to Silas. He had only commented on how quickly he cleaned up.
"Alright, I'm just messing with you." Silas put his arm around Peter's shoulder and asked, "What's the situation now?"
"The Principal said they would take care of the matter and told me not to worry about it," Peter said, sounding a bit dejected.
"And what are your thoughts?" Silas asked.
"My thoughts..." Peter looked up at Coulson's retreating figure and said, "I'm definitely going to investigate this."
