Chapter 146 - Chapter 146: Bombing

Chapter 146: Bombing

Coulson, accompanied by five agents, captured three suspects who were hiding on the dormitory rooftop. When the Rhino Man came to cause trouble at the school, Coulson noticed these three secretive individuals watching everything from the top of the roof. Coulson immediately used his communicator to summon nearby agent partners, and together they apprehended the suspects.

"It looks like you're not so simple after all, for a Principal," the leading man, wearing sunglasses, chuckled.

"Cut the nonsense. What's your objective for being here?" Coulson asked while simultaneously communicating with S.H.I.E.L.D., reporting the incident.

The man merely scoffed, looking up at the sky, seemingly waiting for something.

"I have a bad feeling about this." As a veteran agent, a strong sense of danger began to surge within Coulson.

Bang! Bang!! Bang!!

On another teaching building not far away, three of the men's accomplices opened fire. Three sniper rifle bullets instantly killed three S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. Coulson was extremely lucky; those people didn't attack him first. He immediately rolled on the ground, flipped behind a wall, and shouted:

"Attention! Attention! The enemy has snipers! Don't show your heads!"

The students on the field, who were about to leave, were terrified by the sound of gunfire and dropped to the ground, covering their heads.

Peter looked up at the roof and rushed towards it without a second thought.

"Peter! Where are you going!" Ned shouted behind him.

Peter couldn't worry about that now. Even Ned's cries didn't stop him. While running, Peter tore off his outer school uniform, revealing the Spider suit underneath. He pulled a pair of web-shooters from his backpack. Click! The web-shooters fastened onto his wrists. Peter finally took the mask from his bag, tossed the bag aside, and shot a strong web onto the wall. He leaped high, swinging with the web, and rushed toward the rooftop, putting on his mask mid-air.

School Field

"What is Peter doing?!" Ned was completely confused. Shouldn't they be running away quickly right now?

"Misty..." Silas was about to use an excuse to send Misty away.

But Misty immediately said, "Go, Silas."

"...Mhm!" Silas exchanged a look with Misty, seemingly understanding something from her eyes. Silas then ran at an extremely fast pace in the direction Peter had left.

"Hey! Where are you going!" Ned was totally lost. What were these two brothers doing?

"Ned, instead of worrying about that, shouldn't we hurry up and run!" Misty said, ignoring Ned and running off.

Ned looked at the direction Peter had left, then looked toward the school gate. He gritted his teeth and said, "May the Lord bless you, Peter, and Silas too." After praying, Ned quickly ran toward the school gate.

"Blacklight." Silas silently muttered to himself, shaking the Blacklight sensor on his wrist. The Blacklight battlesuit quickly emerged from Silas's shadow and began to automatically assemble onto his body. Black mist slowly condensed into a mask over Silas's face.

Destiny!

Red light flashed in Silas's eyes. The wing propulsion system on his back and the thrusters on his feet activated, and Silas flew toward the rooftop.

Rooftop

The man cut the ropes binding him, picked up the gun dropped by the dead S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, Click!

"Tell me, Principal, who are you?" The man chuckled. The situation had changed so quickly; the identities of the two had shifted in an instant.

"I should have shot you right here," Coulson said, staring fearlessly at the gun barrel.

"No matter what, you failed to do it. Goodbye, Principal." The man was about to finish Coulson with a shot.

"Hey! The Principal has a lot of work to do. Cut it out, buddy." Peter arrived just in time, appearing behind the man. He kicked the man away and sent the handgun flying off the roof.

"Are you okay, Principal?" Peter helped Coulson up.

Coulson waved his hand, grabbed a gun, and walked over to the man. "Maybe now I can do it."

Thump-thump-thump-thump! The sound of a helicopter propeller approached. The tremendous wind blew at Coulson's few remaining strands of hair.

"Where did this helicopter come from?" Coulson wondered. He had just reported the situation to his colleagues; there was no way backup could arrive so fast.

"Uh, Principal, is that your helicopter?" Peter asked, uncertainly.

"Goodbye, buddies! Haha!" The man leaped off the rooftop, catching the rope ladder lowered from the helicopter.

"Look out!" An extremely dangerous sensation surged from Peter's mind. Peter's body reacted immediately, grabbing Coulson and jumping off the roof.

Boom! A missile exploded immediately on the rooftop. Thump-thump-thump-thump! After the missile explosion, there were bursts of gunfire, raking the area of the rooftop.

Peter had already landed below. Just as he set Coulson down, the debris from the rooftop collapsed on them.

"Oh no!" Peter's Spider-Sense hadn't helped him this time. He couldn't dodge the debris. Peter could only embrace Coulson, shielding him tightly beneath his body, hoping to ensure Coulson's safety as much as possible.

But after a moment, the falling debris didn't drop. Peter looked up and saw a person in black armor catching the debris above their heads.

"Are you alright?" The person was Silas, who had arrived just in time.

"I'm fine," Peter replied.

Coulson touched himself and said, "I think I am too."

Silas nodded, relieved that Peter was safe. He casually tossed the debris high into the air. Laser beams shot from his eyes, splitting the large mass of debris into tiny fragments.

"Can you handle yourself, Principal?" Peter asked Coulson.

Coulson said, "Of course I can, kid. Now go!"

"Mhm!" Seeing that Coulson was fine on his own, Peter shot a web toward Silas. Silas caught the web and pulled Peter up. "What's the situation now?" Silas asked.

"I'm not exactly sure, but it looks like they're trying to escape," Peter said, watching the helicopter flying toward the other teaching building to pick up its accomplices.

"Don't worry. They came here to cause trouble; they're definitely not getting away." Silas was confident. He didn't intervene with the Rhino Man because he wanted to draw out the people behind the scenes. Now that they had finally shown themselves, the only thing left was to capture them and subject them to interrogation.

"Let's go!" Silas grabbed Peter's web and flew toward the helicopter, carrying Peter with him.

The people inside the helicopter noticed Spider-Man and Destiny and pulled out their weapons, opening fire on Silas.

"Dodge!" Silas tossed Peter upward, while he dodged the incoming bullets.

Peter used Silas's momentum to fly above the helicopter's rotor blades. He immediately shot a strong web, which stuck to the blades. The rotors instantly stopped spinning, and the helicopter began to plummet. Peter landed on the rooftop of a nearby teaching building, adhering tightly to the ground with his feet. He gripped the web tightly, preventing the helicopter from crashing.
