Chapter 136: The Rhino Man Attacks
Street
"Ah!"
"Run!"
"Iron Man! Spider-Man! Come save us!"
"No! I want the Hulk!"
"..."
Aleksei, now transformed into the Rhino Man, was walking brazenly down the street, grabbing people by the collar and demanding, "Where is Spider-Man!"
Oris had told Aleksei that if he caused a ruckus in the streets, Spider-Man would definitely show up.
"I... I don't know..." The person grabbed was trembling all over, sweat pouring down their head, too terrified to even open their eyes and look at Aleksei.
"Hmph!" Aleksei casually tossed the person, like throwing garbage, easily launching them into the air where they got snagged on a flagpole sticking out of a wall.
"Help! Help!" The person looked at the height below, which was at least fifteen meters. If they fell, their bones would definitely shatter.
"No~" Peter and Silas happened to be passing by. They turned and entered a small alley, opening their backpacks to pull out their suits.
"Are you ready to go?" Silas seemed unhurried. He noticed what looked like a surveillance camera overhead. Immediately, he summoned a Shadowkhan ninja in the distance, who jumped behind the camera and ripped it down.
"A camera?" Peter heard the sound, looked up, and exclaimed in surprise.
"Yeah, I wonder who installed it." Silas took the camera from the Shadowkhan ninja and looked at it: Made by Stark Industries.
Well, Silas already guessed who installed it.
Peter truly had no time to waste and quickly put on his suit. He had barely put it on when a bulky figure appeared at the alley's exit.
Silas, with his back to the figure, instantly had black smoke appear on his face, forming a mask that covered his features. His backpack slid off his back and fell into the Shadow Realm within his shadow.
"Let me see~ So the little bug was hiding here!" Peter's shout just now had clearly been heard by Aleksei.
Bang! Bang! Bang! Aleksei stomped his feet, aimed the sharp rhino horn on his head at Peter, and charged forward viciously.
Peter reacted quickly, grabbing his backpack and jumping onto the wall to stick to it. Silas directly merged into the Shadow Realm.
Boom! Aleksei's charge was immensely destructive, instantly smashing the wall and leaving a truck-sized hole.
"Woah~ Doesn't that hurt your head?" Peter exclaimed.
Aleksei shook his head, knocking off the dust on his forehead. He said, "My head doesn't hurt, but I can promise you, your head is going to hurt."
"Seriously, buddy, you could work in construction demolition. You'd save the demolition companies a lot of trouble," Peter suggested.
"How much do you get paid for demolition? Do you know I get paid fifty thousand for one job!" Aleksei charged at Peter.
Peter pushed off with his feet, leaping agilely onto the opposite wall. He pulled out the two electric web shooters from his backpack. He tossed the web shooters onto his hands, and fixed straps immediately extended from both sides, attaching to Peter's wrists. Peter threw his backpack, shooting a powerful web to stick it to the wall. This time, the powerful web wouldn't allow his backpack to be stolen like before. After Little Black's improvements, the powerful web could last for a full day without dissolving. When dissolution was needed, he could shoot a special dissolving fluid from the web shooter to quickly dissolve the web.
Having completed all that, Peter turned to Aleksei and said, "Hey~ I actually know a big green guy. His name is the Hulk. Do you know him?"
"I don't want to know him!" Aleksei turned and leaped at Peter. His jumping ability was also very powerful.
Peter knew he couldn't clash directly with this kind of giant. He dropped to the ground, got behind the Rhino Man, and thwip! thwip! shot two powerful webs to stick to the Rhino Man's feet.
Thud!
The Rhino Man fell through the air, hitting the ground headfirst and smashing a crater into the pavement.
"Oh no~ You're going to have to pay for that," Peter said seriously.
"Agh!" The Rhino Man tried to shake off the white webs on his feet but found the webs were surprisingly sticky.
"Alright~ Time to send you to the police station. By the way, what's your name? I feel like I've seen you somewhere?" Peter touched his head with his index finger. The exposed face of Aleksei looked very familiar to him.
"F***!" Aleksei reached out and ripped off the powerful webs, but the webs stuck to his hand.
"Time to end this." Peter fired ten more powerful webs, trapping Aleksei all over.
Aleksei was restrained on all sides and rolled around on the ground. "Agh! Spider-Man! Give me back my one million!" Aleksei roared angrily.
"One million?" Peter frowned. "What one million?"
"Hmph! I never thought our righteous superhero, Spider-Man, would default on a debt!" Aleksei mocked.
"Wait! I really don't know what you're talking about." Peter looked completely bewildered. What one million? He hadn't even seen that much money before.
"Stop pretending!" Aleksei was completely enraged. If Spider-Man would just return the one million US dollars, he would accept being captured, but Spider-Man wouldn't even admit it.
Snap! Aleksei actually tore free from the powerful webs. Although the powerful webs still largely stuck to his body, they didn't impede him.
"Try this!" Peter switched webs and shot out electric webbing laced with a thousand volts of electricity! However, to Peter's surprise, the electric webbing wrapped around Aleksei without any effect.
"I'm not afraid of your little bit of static electricity, little bug," Aleksei easily tore off the electric webbing.
"Uh oh~" Peter sensed trouble. This was the first time he'd been defeated since acquiring the new web shooters.
Aleksei spotted a sedan parked nearby. He ran over to it, wrapped his hands around the car's front end, and lifted the car.
"Die! Little bug." Aleksei flung the car at Peter.
Peter easily dodged it, but then his Spider-Sense instantly rang in his mind. Reacting instinctively, he leaped into the air.
Boom! Aleksei appeared where Peter had just been. It turned out Aleksei had only used the car to distract Peter and had charged at him immediately after.
"Phew~ Seriously, if the Hulk met you, he would definitely love you," Peter thought the Hulk would like his new Rhino friend.
"Damn it." The Rhino Man looked up and roared at Peter, "If you're so tough, stop running! I'll beat you up real good."
"If you're going to beat me up, why shouldn't I run?" Peter asked.
"Good point..." Aleksei thought for a moment and actually agreed with Peter's logic.
Seeing Aleksei pause like this, Peter quickly said, "How about this: you surrender to the police honestly, and I'll go get your one million back?"
"No," Aleksei refused. "If the cops catch me, the food in that jail isn't very good, and there's no freedom."
"Then..." Peter was about to say something when...
Silas emerged from the Shadow Realm, wearing a cool black digital watch on his wrist.
"Leave the rest to me," Silas said, flexing his right hand which bore the electronic watch.
