Chapter 117 - Chapter 117: Capturing the Monkey

Chapter 117: Capturing the Monkey

Feeling the murderous intent from behind, Ben Parker immediately said, "Of course... of course, the most important thing for a couple is their feelings, right, May?"

"And Silas, if you don't like that girl, then don't lead her on, okay?" Aunt May cautioned.

Silas nodded. "Don't worry, Aunt May."

Time slowly passed, and they arrived at the exhibition.

The Parker family parked the car and gathered at the exhibition entrance, waiting for Misty.

"Hi! Silas..." Misty appeared behind Silas and gave him a tap. She then noticed the two adults standing next to him.

"Oh~ Are you Misty? Hello, I'm Ben Parker, Silas's uncle," Ben Parker said with a smile.

Aunt May also introduced herself, smiling. "Hello, Misty, I'm May Parker, Silas's aunt."

"Hello, I'm Misty Barron." Misty forced a smile, continuously looking at Silas, signaling: What is going on?

Silas could only respond with his eyes: I don't know either how things ended up this way.

"Haha! Don't be nervous. Don't worry, I won't disturb you two young ones," Ben Parker laughed heartily.

"Oh~~ You must be Silas's elders. Hello! Hello!" Suddenly, a middle-aged man appeared behind Misty and extended his hand toward Ben Parker and Aunt May.

"And you are?" Ben Parker was a bit confused but still reached out to shake hands.

Hugh smiled and shook Ben Parker's hand. "Hello, I'm Hugh Barron, Misty's father."

"Father?" Ben Parker and Aunt May exchanged glances. They hadn't expected Misty's father to show up here.

The moment Silas saw Hugh, he already guessed that this date was completely ruined.

Misty herself hadn't expected her father to follow her. Didn't he say he had company business today?

"Silas, wait a moment." Misty pulled Hugh aside and gritted her teeth. "Dad, didn't you say you had company business today?"

"No, no, no, Misty. The company isn't as important as my daughter." Hugh pulled away from Misty's hand and straightened his collar. He had already found out that today was his daughter's date with that rotten kid, and he was determined to ruin it.

"Yes, Misty, you must give it your best! That boy seems quite nice to you, at least he doesn't mind the scar on your face." Misty's mother, Lydia, had also arrived.

"Mom, why are you here too?" Misty remembered her mother leaving early today.

"Why are you here, Lydia?" Hugh clearly didn't know Lydia was coming either.

Lydia rolled her eyes. "Hugh, let me tell you, it's very rare for our daughter to meet a boy who doesn't mind her scar. If you scare him away, you don't need to come home."

"How could I, Lydia? Of course, I'm here to support them." Hugh certainly didn't want to be kicked out of the house.

Misty covered her mouth and chuckled next to them. Her father was quite afraid of her mother.

Next, Lydia introduced herself to Ben Parker. The two families, each carrying their own private thoughts, entered the exhibition.

Perhaps the only truly innocent person here was Peter.

"Look, Silas! This thing is so cool!" Peter said, taking pictures with his camera.

"..." Silas.

"..." Misty.

"..." The Parker couple.

"..." The Barron couple.

The Squad Captain took out the indicator. The Oriental dragon's head lit up. The other eight Shadowkhan ninjas were squatting on the ground, playing Mahjong.

Squeak! Squeak! Squeak! A group of monkeys suddenly appeared there. A few jumped down from the trees, trying to snatch the indicator from the Captain's hand.

The Captain easily leaped, dodging the monkeys trying to steal the item, and glanced at the other eight comrades squatting on the ground.

The eight Shadowkhan ninjas immediately understood the Captain's meaning. They pulled out large red cloths from their robes and covered the Mahjong tiles. No one is cheating now!

Then, the eight Shadowkhan ninjas pulled wooden coffins out of the Shadow Realm.

"Squeak! Squeak! Squeak!" All the monkeys in the trees rushed down—there were over a hundred of them. The monkey horde bared their teeth and brandished their claws at the Talisman Squad. Who do they fear on this mountain?

The eight Shadowkhan ninjas slowly retreated toward the Captain. Captain, we don't seem to have enough coffins~

The Captain put away the indicator and cracked his neck. Who are they? The Shadowkhan Army! They might not be the strongest, but when it came to sheer numbers, whom did they fear?

With clumps of dark shadows appearing, countless Shadowkhan ninjas materialized in the jungle, opening their glowing scarlet eyes.

The Captain leaned against a large tree, stroked his chin, and pointed at the monkey horde. We don't lack anything but brothers. Get 'em, brothers!

Upon hearing the Captain, all the Shadowkhan ninjas swarmed forward. The monkey horde was terrified by this sight and fled in panic.

But the Captain wouldn't let them escape. The Shadowkhan ninjas, carrying two monkeys each, shoved them all into the coffins and closed the lids, leaving none behind.

In less than a quarter of an hour, all the monkeys had been placed in coffins.

The Captain cupped his fists at the other Shadowkhan ninjas. Thank you, brothers.

The Shadowkhan ninjas waved their hands. Seeing that the matter was resolved, they returned to the Shadow Realm. They still had a mission to attend to.

The other eight members of the Talisman Squad quickly picked up their Mahjong tiles and gathered beside the Captain, waiting for the next instruction.

The Captain pointed forward. Move out! Let's find the Monkey Talisman!

Following the direction of the indicator, the Captain finally identified a small monkey. That was the one!

Once the Captain confirmed it, he signaled his teammates to take out the magic rope. Only this specialized magic rope could block the Talisman's magic.

Seeing the nine black-clad figures approaching it, the monkey frantically scrambled up a tree and instantly reached the treetop.

The Talisman Squad quickly took out grappling hooks, threw them to the treetop, secured them, and began climbing upward.

The monkey watched the approaching Shadowkhan army. Its eyes began to glow blue, and the shape of the Monkey Talisman appeared in its eyes.

Chirp! Chirp! Chirp!

The monkey transformed into a small bird and wobbled away, flying off.

The Captain reacted swiftly, pulling out a jetpack from the Shadow Realm. This was a specialized device that their Shadowkhan scientist, Little Black, had created specifically for the Talisman Squad.

Whoosh!

Relying on the jetpacks, the Talisman Squad instantly caught up to the small monkey, which had transformed into a bird. The Captain grabbed the small bird. Before he could return to the ground and put it into the Shadow Realm, the small bird in his hand transformed into a bull.

The sudden change in weight and size caused the small monkey to break free from the Captain's grip and fall downward.

Just before the monkey hit the ground, the bull transformed into a butterfly. The butterfly landed on the ground and then immediately transformed into a leopard, speeding away from the area.

The Captain led the Talisman Squad in pursuit of the small monkey in the sky. Fast as the leopard was, it couldn't outpace the jetpacks.
