Chapter 37 - Chapter 37: The Airplane

"Uncle Ben, are you alright?" Peter looked at Ben Parker with a concerned expression.

Ben Parker waved his hand and patted Silas's shoulder. "I'm fine, thanks to Silas."

Hearing this, Peter shifted his gaze to the two men causing the disturbance. "Is fighting fun?"

"Yeah~ You wanna join too?" The man reached out to attack Peter.

Peter tilted his head, easily dodging the punch, and mocked, "Is that all the strength you've got?"

"F**k!" The man raised his fist in anger and shame, adopting a fighting stance. "Die, little brat!"

Whoosh! The man's fist came whistling through the air. Such an attack might be hard for an ordinary person to dodge.

But for Peter, the man's fist was moving as if in slow motion.

Peter extended his right hand and grabbed the man's wrist. He then brought his left hand to the man's forehead, pressing his index finger against his thumb. POP! He flicked the man's forehead!

"Ah!" The man instantly fell to the ground, clutching his forehead in pain. Spider-Man's strength was no joke.

This was Peter controlling his power; otherwise, his strength would have been enough to shatter the man's skull.

"Do you want to try?" Peter looked at the other fighting man, who quickly shook his head, ran back to his car, buckled his seatbelt, and sat quietly.

Ben Parker walked up to the injured man, concerned. "Is your forehead okay?"

"I'm fine..." The man quickly scrambled up, glared at Peter, and then left without looking back.

"Peter, you hit him a bit too hard." Ben Parker saw a large lump swelling up on the man's forehead.

"But he tried to hit you, Uncle Ben," Peter said, pointing in the direction the man left.

Ben Parker waved his hand. "But he didn't hit me, did he? A light tap would have been enough. Why use so much force?"

"But..." Peter wanted to say more.

Ben Parker cut him off. "That's enough. Don't hit people so hard next time." After speaking, he turned and went back to the car.

Peter clenched his fists in frustration. This was the first time in his life he disagreed with Uncle Ben's point of view. Always enduring and backing down would only lead to him getting hurt in the end.

Since Ben Parker had not truly died, even if he taught Peter a lesson, Peter couldn't gain a deep understanding of it.

The only thing Peter could do now was to do his best to protect others, but most importantly, to protect his family first!

Just like Thompson, who used to bully him at school; after Peter hit him once, he hadn't bothered him for a long time.

"Are you okay, Peter?" Silas saw Peter standing still in thought and walked up beside him to ask.

"I'm fine, Silas," Peter said, forcing a smile.

Silas gave him a deadpan look. "Peter, your smile looks worse than a frown right now."

"..." Peter was momentarily speechless.

"Let's go back. We'll just wait for the traffic to clear up," Silas pulled Peter back to the car.

However, Peter didn't say another word inside the car.

The entire car's atmosphere became subdued. Aunt May looked at Silas with a puzzled expression, seemingly asking what had happened.

Silas could only shrug, indicating he didn't understand the situation either.

As time passed, the road finally began to clear, and the cars started moving.

Home

After dropping his family off at home, Ben Parker went to return the rental car.

"Peter, what happened to you?" Aunt May put down her belongings and immediately asked Peter.

"Nothing, Aunt May." Peter gave a brief explanation, grabbed his backpack, and went back to his room. SLAM! The door closed.

"Go check on Peter, Silas," Aunt May handed the task of cheering him up to Silas.

Silas nodded in agreement, picked up the barbecue grill, and asked, "Where does this go?"

"The cabinet in the storage room," Aunt May replied.

After putting everything away, Silas went to Peter's room and knocked.

Knock, knock, knock!

Click! Silas opened the door, even though Peter inside hadn't given him permission to enter.

Entering Peter's room, Silas saw Peter looking at the photos in his camera.

"Silas, do you think I did the wrong thing?" Peter asked. This was the answer he wanted most right now.

Silas walked up to Peter, took the camera from his hand, and looked at the family portrait. "Just follow your heart. The family portrait looks great."

"..." Peter fell silent in contemplation, then said, "The family portrait did turn out well."

"You think so too?" Silas knew Peter had found some peace when he heard that.

"Get some rest. Today was supposed to be fun, but in the end, we were just stuck in traffic," Silas stretched and returned to his own room.

Peter watched Silas's retreating back and smiled faintly.

Around Midnight

Ben Parker finally returned home around midnight. Aunt May took his jacket off for him.

"Are the kids asleep?" Ben Parker asked.

Aunt May hung the jacket on a hook. "It's so late. They had a quick shower and went to sleep."

"What about Peter?" Ben Parker asked, getting to the crucial point.

Aunt May poked Ben Parker with her finger. "What exactly happened between you two? Peter didn't say a word when he came back."

Ben Parker didn't answer Aunt May's question and silently walked back to his room.

"Sigh~" Aunt May sighed. Why did he always keep things from her?

"Sir, would you like a drink?" A flight attendant pushed the trolley and asked one of the Shadow Ninjas.

The Shadow Ninja held a newspaper over his eyes, nudged his companion next to him, and the companion shook his head.

So, the Shadow Ninja waved his hand, dismissing the flight attendant. The flight to Germany would take about seven hours.

To ensure nothing went wrong, they tried not to cause trouble. Initially, they planned to hijack the plane, but they were afraid that when the plane landed, they would be surrounded by soldiers.

The ten Shadow Ninjas were scattered throughout the cabin. Some sat together, and some sat alone, as they had randomly knocked out ten people.

"Alright! Everyone stay still!" Just then, a dozen passengers stood up from their seats and yelled at the other passengers on the plane.

Unsurprisingly, they all had guns. The Shadow Ninjas collectively raised their newspapers to obscure their faces and reduce their presence.

They couldn't afford any complications right now. They had to remain hidden. Their mission had always been singular.

Silas probably never imagined that the Shadowkhan he sent to complete the mission would run into a hijacking!

"Don't worry, my goal is simple. Who is Miss Kamala? Please stand up," the hijacker leader said, raising his gun.

However, no one on the plane responded.

"Search for her!" the hijacker leader ordered.

Four hijackers stood out, holding a photo, and began checking the passengers one by one.

All the Shadow Ninjas placed their hands on their waists, pulling out their razor-sharp shurikens. If the hijackers made any move toward them, they would act.

They had been on the plane for about six hours. In about one more hour, they would reach the German International Airport.
