Silas felt he would never forget that steak in his lifetime—it was simply too disgusting! Though, turning a steak into something like that was a skill in itself.
"I need to go home and drink some freshly squeezed juice to wash out this taste," Silas hailed a taxi.
Over New York
The airliner from Germany finally reached New York. The Shadow Ninjas handed the controls back to the pilot and his co-pilot.
They moved to the cabin door. The airliner's altitude had already dropped to 2,000 feet. The Shadowkhan jumped out of the plane in an orderly fashion, gliding down.
They glided all the way to Queens, landed on a rooftop, and began running toward Silas's house.
Home
"Thanks, Aunt May." Silas returned to his room, carrying a glass of freshly squeezed juice.
He saw nine Shadow Ninjas kneeling respectfully. The Shadow Ninja in the center took the Pig Talisman from his clothes and held it up high in both hands.
"Well done," Silas said, taking the Talisman.
Silas examined the Talisman in his hand, feeling a surge of powerful magic within it.
[Congratulations to the Host for acquiring the Pig Talisman! Do you wish to absorb it?]
"Yes," Silas said.
CRACK!
The Pig Talisman instantly shattered. The magic within surged out, floating mid-air in the room, seemingly searching for something.
Just as Silas was about to examine the ball of magic, the magic seemed to lock onto him, rushing entirely into his eyes.
ZZZT~ ZZZT~ ZZZT~
Orange electricity flowed through Silas's eyes, which were enveloped by the Pig Talisman's magic.
"Laser Eyes?" Silas murmured to his reflection in the mirror.
He immediately wanted to test this power. After a moment of thought, a mask slowly covered his face. He opened the Shadow Realm and slipped inside.
The Shadow Realm
This was a boundless space filled with evil energy. Red permeated the entire area, making it feel extremely uncomfortable.
Some monsters from the Shadow Realm, blue-scaled, human-shaped creatures, wandered toward him.
The monster was about to attack Silas, but as soon as it got close, the Tarakudo pattern on his body glowed red, causing the monster to retreat.
"If only these monsters listened to me, too. What a pity," Silas lamented.
The Shadow Realm was not just the home of the Shadowkhan. It was the homeland of monsters, containing not only the Shadowkhan but also various other types of creatures.
Some of these creatures were much stronger than the Shadowkhan. The strongest was generally considered the Shadow Swarm, which was weak initially, but could theoretically grow infinitely strong by consuming shadows.
However, the Mantis Shadowkhan were generally recognized as the strongest military force, but their screen time was too short to show a clear demonstration of their combat prowess.
"Where is the Lizard?" Silas looked around, confused.
BOOM!
A sense of danger flashed through Silas's mind. He quickly twisted his body and leaped backward.
The Lizard suddenly appeared in front of him. The Lizard had been hiding above, ready to ambush Silas.
"Let me out!" The Lizard roared in anger.
Although Silas wasn't wearing a black cloak, the mask was something he would never forget!
Here, there was nothing but an endless stream of unkillable monsters. The only reason the monsters weren't attacking him now was because he had killed them so much that they were afraid.
He was trapped here, only able to kill and eat a few monsters when hungry. The feeling of loneliness and despair was constantly crushing his spirit.
"You want out, huh? Then crawl your way out," Silas mocked.
The Lizard lunged at Silas with claws extended, intending to tear him apart, but this was Silas's home turf!
Silas felt completely at ease here. He easily dodged the Lizard's attack and said, "You've only been locked up for a few days, and your intelligence has dropped already?"
"Kill me!" The Lizard yelled. He didn't want to stay here. If Silas wouldn't let him out, then he should just kill him.
The Lizard had even thought about letting the monsters end his life, but when his life was threatened, his biological instinct kept him alive.
"Shh~" Silas lowered his hands and said, "There's one thing you can rest assured about: you definitely won't die. How about that? I've even brought you good news."
"No!" The Lizard's bulky body charged forward, and Silas dodged again.
This time, light began to radiate from Silas's eyes. "I'm here now just to test out my new power."
BOOM!
Two laser beams carrying scorching light shot out from Silas's eyes, causing the surrounding space's temperature to rapidly increase.
Instinctively, the Lizard blocked with his arms. He didn't realize that Silas's Laser Eyes were hotter than Tony's laser.
In an instant, the beam sliced off his arms. The Lizard immediately felt the chilling breath of death on his forehead. He closed his eyes, waiting for death.
After a long time, the Lizard only felt the intense heat on his forehead, scalding him until he was nearly cooked, but death never arrived.
"Why won't you kill me!" The Lizard hated him. Silas's laser was suspended right in front of his forehead. Moving it forward just an inch would slice off his entire head, but Silas didn't do it!
"I told you, I won't kill you," Silas withdrew the Pig Talisman's magic after testing it.
He finally understood how powerful the Pig Talisman was. The Lizard could withstand Iron Man's laser but couldn't withstand his Pig Talisman.
When slicing off the Lizard's arms, Silas felt as if he were cutting tofu—there was no resistance whatsoever.
"Kill me! Kill me!" The Lizard desperately floated in the space. The green blood flowing from his missing arms attracted the nearby monsters.
The monsters hadn't lost their minds because of the blood. Since Silas was standing in front of the Lizard, they wouldn't rush forward to fight for the corpse.
"It's growing back?" Silas noticed that the Lizard's arm wound was already coagulating, and granulation tissue seemed to be growing.
After all, Professor Connors initially chose this genetic path because of the Lizard's ability to regenerate limbs.
Although the Lizard's recovery ability was strong, if he were sliced in half, he wouldn't even have the chance to recover.
Unlike Deadpool, who could be ripped in half and still slowly grow back. The scariest part was that the other half would grow a new Deadpool.
"No!" The Lizard's blood had scattered. The nearby monsters couldn't resist the temptation any longer and began to gnaw on the Lizard's severed limbs.
Silas waved his hand. "See you next time. I hope you don't die, or you won't even get a chance for revenge."
After speaking, Silas disappeared from the Shadow Realm, leaving only the Lizard whose eyes were filled with hatred.
Silas added that last sentence because he was afraid the Lizard might actually commit suicide, which would be a waste.
Once he acquired the Horse Talisman, or once the Lizard serum in Black's hands was successfully researched, he would be able to farm for experience points.
The Room
The mask vanished from Silas's face. He drank his juice and looked at Little Black and Big Black playing chess by the table.
Ever since Big Black lost to Little Black last time, he had constantly challenged Little Black, but unfortunately, he never won.
This time, Big Black specifically studied chess, hoping to defeat Little Black with it, but the result was clear: Big Black lost again.
Big Black fell to his knees in agony, clutching his head in his hands.
Little Black reached out and patted Big Black's head, then used sign language to gesture: If you want to defeat me, you should just go back and be reforged.
When Shadowkhan die, they return to the Shadow Realm and re-form a new body.
