Splash!Ben Parker began his fishing trip for the day.
Aunt May patiently laid out the food nearby. The family hadn't eaten breakfast yet and had rushed to the forest right away.
Peter and Silas sat on the grass, quietly watching Ben Parker fish.
"Hey, Peter, I have a question for you," Silas gently nudged Peter with his elbow.
Peter turned and said, "Go ahead."
"There's an object that faces the morning sun every day and can broadcast the time to people. What do you think it is?" Silas shared the Talisman clue with Peter.
Peter frowned, thought for a moment, and said, "A clock?"
"A clock..." Silas realized Peter was right! A clock can be exposed to the morning sun every day, and it can also tell people the time!
[Congratulations to the Host for guessing 'Clock,' activating the quest to find the Pig Talisman—Proceed to the Bavarian Clock Tower in Germany]
[Acquired the Pig Talisman Locator]
Silas saw a green object appear before him. The four dragon heads on top pointed to the four cardinal directions: East, South, West, and North.
"Isn't this the device from the original plot used to find the Talismans?" Silas twitched his mouth. Fortunately, it was just a phantom that only he could see. Otherwise, if this thing suddenly appeared, he wouldn't know how to explain it.
"Hello?" Peter waved his hand in front of Silas. "Was my guess wrong?"
"No! Peter, your guess was absolutely right!" Silas gave Peter a firm look.
Silas stood up and said to Peter, "I'm going to the restroom."
"Okay, here's the map," Peter handed the map Ben Parker had given him to Silas.
Silas took the map and turned to leave.
Another Part of the Forest
After making sure there were no surveillance cameras, Silas summoned ten Shadow Ninjas and took out the Pig Talisman Locator.
"I have a mission for you. Go to the Bavarian Clock Tower in Germany and find the Pig Talisman!" Silas handed the locator to a Shadow Ninja.
The Shadow Ninja took the device, nodded, and signaled that the mission would be accomplished. With swift movements, they leaped through the forest and disappeared shortly after.
"It's great to have people to boss around," Silas chuckled. He finally understood why the Demon Sorcerer Shendu loved ordering the Shadowkhan around. Having them do things was truly effortless.
After watching the Shadow Ninjas leave, Silas immediately returned to the campsite.
"You're back, Silas!" Peter waved and called out. "Uncle Ben just caught a big fish after you left."
Silas walked over to the bucket holding the fish with a smile. "That's a pretty good fish."
"Of course, but I'm not much of a fan," Peter said, intentionally lowering his voice.
Neither of them particularly liked eating fish because they had too many bones, making them troublesome to eat, and their eating utensils weren't well suited for picking out the bones.
"Hey! Peter, I heard that," Ben Parker said helplessly. It was so quiet here, and he was right next to Peter. Speaking softly didn't help.
Peter quickly covered his mouth. "Got it."
"Alright, everyone, time for breakfast!" Aunt May had already laid out the breakfast on the picnic cloth.
The three men immediately walked up to Aunt May. Ben Parker said, "I thought we weren't having breakfast."
"Don't worry, we have breakfast, but you're on your own for lunch," Aunt May winked at Ben Parker.
Ben Parker straightened his chest and said confidently, "Apologies, but my lunch is already secured."
"Then I hope you enjoy your lunch," Aunt May said, smiling. She knew Ben Parker wouldn't eat the fish.
Their breakfast was a simple sandwich and juice; lunch was the main event.
Peter was the first to finish breakfast. After eating, he picked up his camera and started taking pictures of the forest scenery.
This was probably Peter's most relaxing day since becoming Spider-Man, with no crime and no danger.
However, for some reason, Silas had a feeling that something big was going to happen. He couldn't quite put his finger on it, but with Spider-Man around, something was bound to occur.
Peter reviewed the photos in his camera, then said to Silas, "Silas, want to go explore other areas together?"
"Sure. Uncle Ben, Aunt May, Peter and I are going to explore other parts of the forest," Silas said to Ben Parker and Aunt May.
Ben Parker cautioned them, "Don't go too far. This area was just recently developed."
"Got it, Uncle Ben." After responding, Silas and Peter left to explore.
Silas and Peter followed the small forest path downward. The deeper they went, the more wildlife they encountered.
Peter took a photo of a lake. "Silas, I think Uncle Ben should come fish here. He'd definitely have a big catch."
"Haha~ But I think Uncle Ben will insist on fishing back there to prove his skills," Silas said.
"I think so too." After Peter took his last photo, he was ready to leave.
Unexpectedly, a cry for help suddenly came from the depths of the forest: "Help!"
Peter and Silas immediately looked at each other, and with an unspoken understanding, they both ran toward the direction of the cry.
When they arrived, Silas saw a middle-aged man pinning a woman down, taking off her clothes.
Peter immediately picked up a stone and threw it at the man's hand. "Stop!"
"Ouch!" The man covered his right hand in pain and yelled at Peter, "Where did you brats come from! Mind your own business!"
"Sorry, we just happen to like minding other people's business," Silas said to Peter. "We're two against one. We're not afraid of him."
Peter nodded. He actually wanted to say that he could handle it alone.
"Famus, are you okay?" The woman immediately sat up, checking the man's hand—the hand of the man she called Famus.
"Wait! You know him?" Peter asked, confused.
Famus angrily shouted, "I specifically picked such a remote spot, and you two brats still managed to wander in here!"
"You have to pay for our medical expenses!" the woman yelled aggressively.
Silas instantly understood what the two of them were up to. They enjoyed this kind of play.
Peter also seemed to realize that he had interrupted someone else's good time.
"Where are your parents!" Famus stood up, clutching his right hand. "I'm going to find your parents and get compensation!"
"Uh... How about we just call it even, and you two continue?" Silas said, pulling the embarrassed Peter back.
Famus raised his injured right hand. "Call it even? Look! A rock hit me and broke my bone! If it was just a bruise, I wouldn't mind, but how can we call this even!"
"How about this? I have a suggestion. What do you think?" Silas tried to calm Famus's anger.
Famus grumbled, "Tell me!"
"It's... Run!" Silas turned and dashed away, leaving a stunned Peter behind.
