Chapter 33 - Chapter 33: The Clue

"Is it related to the sun?" Silas wasn't sure if the clue pointed to a person or an object.

[Unlocking the Pig Talisman Main Quest - Host can spend 100 Justice Points or Evil Points to gain the next clue. However, the Justice/Evil Points required for subsequent clues will double]

"Redeem the next clue." Silas didn't hesitate at all. The main issue was that the Talisman clue was too vague. At the very least, he needed to know the scope.

[Deducting 100 Justice Points, receiving the next clue for the Pig Talisman]

[The Pig is not a rooster, but it can still tell people the time accurately]

"Time?" Silas closed his eyes. The sun rising and time, and it can also tell people the time, so it must be an object.

"An alarm clock?" That was Silas's first thought, but he immediately dismissed the idea. An alarm clock can tell people the time, but how does the sun fit in?

Silas went to the computer desk and began searching for information. He also posted the problem, which was the clue given by the system, on Twitter.

After all, two heads are better than one. Besides, they didn't know about the Talisman, so they would treat the problem as a regular quiz question.

"Done." Silas stretched in his chair. The Shadow Ninja next to him handed him a cup of hot tea.

Silas took the hot tea, took a demonstrative sip, and said, "Thanks, Little Black."

Little Black quickly waved his hand, pointed to the nearby computer, and motioned in sign language, "May I try, Master?"

"Of course." Silas cleared a space for Little Black.

Because the Shadowkhan could not speak, Little Black had specially learned human sign language so he could express his intentions more clearly.

Silas didn't know sign language, but there was a connection between the Shadowkhan and the host. As long as the meaning wasn't too complex, both sides understood what the other was trying to say.

Simply put, Silas thought Little Black learning sign language was pointless, but it was good that he liked to learn. What if he had a chance to communicate with others in the future?

As soon as Silas stepped aside, he watched Little Black furiously operate the keyboard and open a physics tutorial video.

"..." Silas thought Little Black was going to help him solve the problem, but this was good too. It was better to be studious, unlike Big Black, who was lying dead on his bed.

Big Black was currently lying motionless on the bed. As soon as Silas left, he would climb into Silas's bed to pretend Silas was sleeping.

SWISH! Big Black instantly got up and entered Silas's shadow, returning to the Shadow Realm.

"Forget it, I'll rest first. I've been busy all day and haven't had a chance to rest yet." Silas lay on the bed and closed his eyes to rest.

Little Black put on headphones and started a new round of studying.

Nighttime Slowly Descends

"Silas! Peter! Dinner is ready!" Aunt May called from downstairs.

Silas, who was sleeping, suddenly opened his eyes, got up, put on his shoes, and patted Little Black, who was studying. Little Black immediately entered the Shadow Realm.

Knock, knock, knock~ Click~

Aunt May opened the door and saw Silas standing by the computer. "Silas, dinner is ready."

"Okay, Aunt May." Silas and Aunt May walked out.

However, Peter's situation was completely different. When he tried to get up, he strained the wound on his chest.

"Oh god," Peter pulled back a corner of the bandage, lifted his shirt to look in the mirror at the wound. The shocking claw marks were an extreme sight.

Knock, knock, knock~

"Wait! I'm changing!" Peter called out quickly.

Aunt May, who was about to open the door, took her hand off the doorknob. "Then be sure to come down for dinner right away."

"Okay!" Peter put the gauze back down and put on a long-sleeved shirt with a high collar. He checked himself in the mirror.

After confirming that the gauze and wound weren't showing, he went downstairs for dinner.

"Peter, are you cold today?" Ben Parker put down his newspaper and asked curiously.

Peter quickly replied, "Yes, Uncle Ben. I don't know why, but it feels a bit chilly tonight."

"Chilly?" Ben Parker frowned. The weather wasn't scorching hot, but it wasn't cold either.

"Come eat dinner, Ben, come over." Aunt May called out.

Ben Parker put down his newspaper and his suspicions, walking to the dining table. He was delighted. "I thought I smelled beef today. You made steak!"

"The two boys got hurt. Eating some meat might help them recover faster." Aunt May had only fried three steaks and didn't make one for herself.

Silas, sitting in his seat, picked up his knife and fork, cut half of his steak, and placed it on Aunt May's plate under everyone's gaze.

"This is for you, Aunt May," Silas said.

"Thank you, Silas, but Aunt May doesn't need..." Aunt May was about to give the steak back to Silas.

Peter and Ben both cut half of their steaks and gave them to Aunt May. "We are a family."

"Thank you..." Aunt May covered her mouth in emotion, her eyes slowly welling up with tears.

"Don't cry, May. You should be happy because the boys are thoughtful," Ben Parker said, smiling.

"Mhm~" Aunt May wiped the tears from her eyes, sat down, and raised her cup. "To our happy family, cheers!"

Of course, the cups were all filled with juice.

"My company has nothing going on tomorrow. Why don't we go on the outing we couldn't make last weekend?" Ben Parker suggested, wanting to add to the happy atmosphere.

"What? But Ben, didn't you say we don't have a car?" Aunt May asked.

Peter and Silas also looked at Ben Parker.

"We don't have a car for now, but we can rent one," Ben Parker smiled. Renting a regular car was well within his means.

"That's great!" Silas exclaimed happily. This outing would be a good opportunity to think about that darn clue.

Peter, however, was not as excited as usual. If it were before, he might have been ecstatic, but now that he was injured, he couldn't have too much physical activity.

"What's wrong, Peter?" Ben Parker noticed Peter didn't seem very happy.

Peter immediately shook his head, managing a smile. "Nothing, this is a great idea! What time are we going tomorrow?"

"Is that so?" Ben Parker looked at Peter suspiciously, then said, "We'll go first thing in the morning. I heard there's a newly developed forest attraction. Let's go there."

"Sounds perfect," Aunt May agreed. The last trip to the amusement park wasn't very fun; she didn't like the rides there.

Compared to an amusement park, she preferred the quiet environment of a forest, having a picnic, listening to the birds, and feeling the breeze on her face.
