Chapter 30 - Nobita vs Simmons (T rex form, final part)

The barrier trembled.

Not cracked—trembled, like something alive was testing its limits.

Nobita stood at the center of the invisible wall, black-and-white lightning crawling across his arms and shoulders, his feet dug into the fractured asphalt. Each impact from Simmons' mutated body sent vibrations through the ground and into his bones.

Behind him—

Civilians screamed.

BSAA soldiers shouted orders.

Smoke and dust filled the air, illuminated by emergency lights and the distant sweep of the helicopter's search beam.

Dekisugi stumbled backward, clutching the small light device in his hands.

"I—I've almost got it charged!" he shouted, voice barely carrying over the chaos. "If this works, I will shrink the whoke t rex body and mutation"

Shizuka turned to him, eyes wide. "Dekisugi, get back—!"

Too late.

The T-Rex Simmons saw the light.

Its massive head snapped toward Dekisugi, eye narrowing with predatory focus. The creature roared, saliva and blood spraying as it lunged forward.

The force sent a shockwave through the street.

Nobita grunted. "…It's adapting faster…"

The monster recoiled—then struck again.

Harder.

Cracks rippled through the air like shattered glass.

Leon swore under his breath. "That shield's not going to hold forever!"

Chris barked into his comm. "All units! Cover the kid with the device!"

BSAA soldiers moved instinctively, forming a firing line.

But Simmons was faster.

The T-Rex charged, slamming its full weight into the barrier one final time—

BOOM.

The wall collapsed.

The force hurled Dekisugi backward. He hit the ground hard, rolling across broken concrete as the glowing device skidded from his grasp.

"DEKISUGI!" Gian shouted.

The T-Rex surged forward, claws gouging the earth, jaws opening wide.

Dekisugi scrambled, heart pounding. "N-Nobita—!"

The small device flickered.

Then—

CRACK.

A claw smashed down.

The device shattered into fragments of light.

Dekisugi screamed as the shockwave threw him aside, his body slamming into a parked vehicle with a sickening thud.

Shizuka screamed. "NO—!"

Smoke cleared.

Dekisugi lay still.

For half a second, the world stopped.

Nobita's breath caught in his throat. "…Dekisugi…"

The T-Rex lowered its head again.

Slow.

Deliberate.

Its mouth opened directly above Dekisugi's broken body.

Leon raised his gun. "Chris—!"

Chris didn't hesitate. "OPEN FIRE!"

Gunfire erupted.

Ada's helicopter swung around, its mounted machine gun roaring to life, bullets tearing into Simmons' hide. Doraemon fired his air cannon wildly, blasts slamming into the monster's jaw.

The T-Rex barely flinched.

It descended toward Dekisugi.

And then—

BOOM.

The ground exploded upward.

Nobita landed between them.

His feet slammed into the asphalt, lightning erupting outward as he caught the creature's upper and lower jaws—

WITH HIS HANDS.

The impact sent a shockwave through the street.

Everyone froze.

Shizuka covered her mouth. "…N-Nobita…?"

The T-Rex pushed down.

Nobita screamed, muscles tearing, lightning flaring brighter as he forced the jaws apart, veins bulging in his arms.

"GET—BACK—!" he roared.

Leon stared. "…That's... impossible."

Chris muttered, stunned. "He's stopping it…"

The monster thrashed, roaring directly into Nobita's face. Blood and saliva splashed across him as its teeth ground inches from his chest.

Nobita's boots slid backward, carving lines into the asphalt.

His teeth clenched. "…I won't let you…"

"…touch anyone else."

The T-Rex roared louder.

Ada's gunfire intensified.

"Leon!" she shouted over the comm. "If he lets go—run!"

Leon snapped out of it. "All units! Aim for the head! NOW!"

Gunfire filled the night.

Bullets tore into Simmons from every angle. Doraemon adjusted his aim, firing controlled blasts into the creature's neck.

"Hold on, Nobita!" Doraemon shouted.

Nobita's arms shook violently.

The T-Rex forced its jaws wider—

—and then snapped downward.

Everything went black.

Shizuka screamed.

"NO—! NOBITA—!"

The monster lifted its head.

Nobita was gone.

Swallowed whole.

For a moment—

No one moved.

Gian's fists trembled. "…He… he can't be…"

Suneo shook his head violently. "No—no—no—he's not dead—he's not—!"

Doraemon stared at the creature, eyes wide, breath shaking.

"…Nobita…"

Inside the T-Rex—

Darkness.

Heat.

Crushing pressure.

Nobita slammed against slick muscle walls, breath knocked from his lungs as the jaws sealed shut above him.

His vision swam.

"…So this is how it feels…" he muttered, coughing.

Then—

The giant eye opened.

Right in front of him.

Embedded in the fleshy tunnel, staring directly at him.

Nobita smiled weakly.

"…You really should've finished me."

Lightning sparked along his arm.

Void-Fang summons in his hand.

White blade.

Black guard.

He stabbed.

Again.

And again.

And again.

The T-Rex screamed.

Outside, the creature thrashed wildly, collapsing to the ground, crushing vehicles beneath its weight.

Leon shielded his eyes. "…Something's happening—!"

The monster convulsed, claws tearing at itself as black-and-white lightning burst from its mouth.

Then—

BOOM.

The T-Rex collapsed.

Its head slammed into the ground.

Smoke poured from its mouth.

A hand burst through the jaws.

Then another.

Nobita pulled himself free, coated in blood and ichor, lightning flickering weakly as he staggered forward and collapsed to his knees.

For one heartbeat—

Silence.

Then—

Shizuka ran.

She threw her arms around him, sobbing. "You idiot—you scared me—you—!"

Gian and Suneo followed, nearly tackling him as they hugged him from both sides.

"You're insane!" Gian shouted, half-laughing, half-crying.

"I told you he wouldn't die!" Suneo yelled.

Dekisugi—bruised, bleeding, but alive—limped forward and joined them, voice shaking. "…You saved me… again…"

Nobita smiled faintly. "…Of course I did."

Leon, Helena, and Chris approached slowly, weapons lowered.

Chris nodded once. "…Hell of a job, kid."

Helena smiled softly. "You did good."

Leon looked up.

The helicopter hovered above.

Ada stood at the open door.

Their eyes met.

For a moment, the world felt quiet.

Leon raised his voice. "…Thank you, Ada."

She held his gaze.

Then the helicopter turned away, disappearing into the night.

Nobita watched it go, lightning fading.

The war wasn't over.

But for now—

They were alive.
