By noon, Shengshu had finally finished his morning practice. His arms were so sore he couldn't even lift them.
Fortunately, Tsunade was there. With a single palm technique, she dispelled all of his muscle fatigue.
Kushina also came over and helped massage him until his entire arm relaxed. She wasn't sure whether working so hard just to show off was really worth it.
"Let's go eat."
Kawamine took the three of them to the restaurant. His sister-in-law had already arranged everything, so Sakumo only needed to arrive and eat.
When they reached the dining hall, waiters were already delivering dish after dish to the tables.
Fried Fukifuhen slices, roasted peanuts, braised beef…
Over the years, Kawamine had improved countless recipes, and the chefs of the household had mastered the authentic techniques needed to bring these dishes to perfection.
"These are the Hatake family's specialties. I specifically asked the chef to make them today."
Kawamine very gentlemanly arranged for Tsunade to sit next to his sister-in-law.
He sat across from them, while the ones ready to "attack" the food were Shengshu and Kushina.
Seeing dishes she had never encountered before, Tsunade felt surprised. Were meals from wealthy families really this different?
Her expression remained composed, but she clearly had an appetite.
Once the dishes were all placed on the table, Kawamine waved his hand.
"Bring me two bottles of the sauce-flavored one."
This was one of the major things Kawamine had done since arriving in the Naruto world—he disliked how mild sake tasted, so he brewed his own sauce-flavored liquor.
Unfortunately, no one else liked drinking it, so it could never become a profitable business. Still, he and Sakumo drank it often—otherwise, they wouldn't have blacked out yesterday.
Soon, a servant brought out several jars of white fruit wine. Tsunade had never heard of such a drink.
"What kind of liquor is this sauce-flavored fruit wine?"
Her puzzled expression made her look like a clueless country girl seeing refined goods for the first time.
"Haha, I brewed it myself."
"Try it. If you don't like it, I'll bring something else."
Kawamine took one jar, popped it open, and poured cups for everyone. The rich aroma filled the entire room.
Both Shengshu and Kushina frowned at the overwhelmingly strong smell.
No one knew if Sakumo was drunk or simply trying to act like the host.
With an awkward grin, he lifted his cup.
"Welcome to the Hatake household, Tsunade. Let's drink together."
Hearing that, Tsunade quickly grabbed her cup and clinked it with Sakumo's.
"Hiss—"
The four of them drank a sip, grimaced at the strength, and made the same pained sound.
Sakumo reached for his favorite fried Fukifuhen slice, and everyone began eating.
Shengshu and Kushina each grabbed a huge chunk of the simmered pork trotter they had been staring at for a long time.
It looked delicious—and tasted even better. Their mouths were soon shiny with grease.
Then the proper meal began.
Tsunade clearly liked strong alcohol. Eating peanuts while sipping the wine, she fully embodied the soul of a true drinker.
Nara Natsuki occasionally joined in, while Kawamine's brother drank with Tsunade, all of them having great fun.
After a long while, all three were flushed red, having finished off the entire jar.
Kawamine had already consumed most of the second jar—a jar weighing two kilograms.
Drunk people tend to ramble, and Sakumo excelled particularly in this. Watching him, Natsuki could barely stand it, but she didn't want to drag him away in front of guests.
"Tsunade, your alcohol tolerance is amazing. I like it."
"Another round! You can do whatever you want with me after!"
Sakumo's usual cold, unfriendly demeanor had vanished, replaced by bright red cheeks and a sunflower-like grin.
A typical overly friendly neighborhood uncle.
Tsunade didn't believe a word he said. "Do whatever you want"? Who exactly did he think he was underestimating?
"Come on—we drink together."
He tilted his head back for another gulp, then poured himself another cup.
Kawamine felt out of place. When he drank, all he wanted was sleep. But these two? The more they drank, the more they wanted to drink.
He glanced at his sister-in-law, sighed, and took another sip.
Shengshu and Kushina, full and satisfied, ran off to the training hall with bursting energy.
People had endless enthusiasm for what they liked—especially children.
"Kawamine-kun, drink with me. You look handsome."
Tsunade stood up, walked toward Kawamine, placed a hand on his shoulder, and threw him a seductive look that almost scared him soulless.
Facing the abyss this close, Kawamine feared he wouldn't be able to control himself.
He hurriedly grabbed his cup, clinked it with hers, and drank.
"Tsunade, what do you think of my brother? I think the two of you are a perfect match."
"You're made for each other—and the Hatake clan is wealthy now. If you marry in, you'll never suffer."
Sakumo raised his cup again, though no one knew if he was intentionally helping or just spouting drunken nonsense.
"With my luck in gambling, aren't you afraid I'll bankrupt the Hatake clan?"
Even drunk, Tsunade knew herself well. When sober, she simply believed her gambling skills were unmatched—her problem was merely insufficient funds.
"You might lose. I might win. Perfect match indeed."
Kawamine stopped pretending and blankly accepted her words.
"You're looking at me strangely."
Tsunade gave him a sultry sideways glance, took another sip, then set her cup down.
She cupped her own chest with both hands.
"Is it because I'm too big?"
Kawamine almost dislocated his jaw in shock. He thought he'd been hiding his glances well.
Tsunade drunk was… overwhelming.
"If you like looking, then look all you want."
With that, Tsunade wrapped her arms around his head and shoved his face straight into her chest.
At first, the soft warmth felt pleasant, but as Tsunade's strength increased, he realized he was about to suffocate.
Sakumo's wine cup hit the floor. His mouth hung open. Was he even allowed to witness this?
Natsuki turned her face away in embarrassment, though she still peeked through the corner of her eye.
With tremendous effort, Kawamine finally escaped the demon's grasp, gasping greedily for air.
Her cheeks were flushed not just from alcohol but also from something more dangerous. His mind went completely blank.
"Have you seen enough?"
Tsunade still wore a teasing smile, completely unashamed. She downed another cup of wine, puckered her lips, and planted a fierce kiss on Kawamine's cheek—
Leaving behind multiple bright red lip marks.
"Haha, Kawamine-kun, you smell so nice."
Laughing loudly after the kiss, she was clearly drunk beyond reasoning.
Only then did Sakumo come back to himself. He stopped drinking and motioned for Natsuki to help him back to their room. He could barely walk.
Leaning on his wife, he muttered,
"That woman can't hold her liquor!"
Kawamine looked at the wildly laughing Tsunade. His brother and sister-in-law had already left, leaving him to face this madness alone.
"Tsunade-chan… we've had enough for today. How about we continue another time?"
"No. I want more."
Tsunade rejected him without hesitation, refilling both cups to the brim.
Kawamine could only grit his teeth and keep drinking with her—he couldn't knock her out. If he failed, he would never be able to protect his family again.
Sakura had destroyed a mortgaged house with a single punch—Tsunade would be far worse.
