"This is... a sneak attack!"
Cipher screamed as the green energy arrow punched through Francis Drake's chest.
"Cipher!" The chat exploded.
[Chat]:[Medic]: BROTHER! DO SOMETHING!
[Wife_Down]: MY WIFE IS BLEEDING! [Sniper]: WHO SHOT THAT?!
[Vision]: That wasn't an arrow. That was a missile!
[Archer_Class]: Since when do Archers actually use bows?! I thought they just threw swords!
[Correction]: The Archer class is really made of archers!
Drake gasped, blood blossoming across her captain's coat. The arrow was as thick as a sword blade, pulsing with destructive mana. Her Spirit Core, already strained from the battle with Nero, shattered instantly.
But the attack wasn't over.
"Incoming!" Cipher yelled, looking up.
The sky was filled with streaks of green light. It looked like a meteor shower, but each "meteor" was a massive arrow falling at terminal velocity.
BOOM. BOOM. BOOM.
The bombardment hit the flooded city with the force of an airstrike.
One of the arrows struck the Death War Elephant. It pierced the creature's glowing abdomen just as Darius III was charging his laser.
The result was a catastrophic chain reaction. The accumulated magical energy detonated inside the bone construct.
"MEI YI YO!" Panda screamed as he and his Servant were engulfed in a blinding green fireball.
[SYSTEM NOTIFICATION][SERVANT ELIMINATED: DARIUS III][PLAYER ELIMINATED: PANDA]
In the sky, Nero tried to dodge. She weaved through the first two arrows, but the volley was too dense. An arrow clipped her wing of flame, sending her spiraling down into the water like a shot duck.
Location: Fuyuki Tower (Rooftop)
Monkey lowered his massive bow. He rolled his shoulders, a satisfied grin on his face.
"I'm a bit rusty," Monkey muttered, checking his kill feed. "But not bad. Three birds with one stone."
Beside him, Robin Hood nodded. "Good shot, Master. But we're not done."
Wait. Robin Hood?
No. The figure standing next to Monkey wasn't Robin Hood.
It was a towering warrior in crimson armor, with two long pheasant feathers extending from his helmet like antennae. He held a massive, ornate bow that looked like it could shoot down the sun.
[SERVANT: ARCHER - LU BU FENGXIAN]
[Chat]:[Holy_Crap]: LU BU?!
[History_Buff]: Wait, Lu Bu is a Berserker! Why is he sane?!
[Lore_Master]: In history, Lu Bu was famous for his archery! "Shooting the halberd from the gate"! This is his Archer form!
[Design]: Max redesigned him! He looks like a Demon God!
[Concern]: Wait... Lu Bu is famous for betraying his masters. Monkey, blink twice if you're in danger.
[Betrayal]: "Father! Why are you rebelling?!"
Monkey grinned. He had summoned the strongest warrior of the Three Kingdoms. And unlike the mindless Berserker version, this Lu Bu was sane. Rational. And deadly.
"Next volley!" Monkey commanded. "Target the castle!"
Lu Bu nodded. He nocked five massive arrows at once. His muscles bulged as he drew the string of the Dragon Tongue Bow.
"Die, insects!" Lu Bu roared.
TWANG.
The arrows screamed through the air, breaking the sound barrier.
Location: The Golden Hind (Sinking)
The ship was dying. The magical energy holding it together was fading.
Drake slumped against the wheel. She was pale, her captain's coat stained red.
"Are you kidding me?!" Cipher cried, tears in his eyes. He raised his right hand, the Command Spells glowing red. "I command you! Drake! Don't die! Heal yourself!"
Drake reached out and grabbed his wrist. Her grip was weak, but firm.
"Don't waste it, Master," she rasped, a weak smile on her lips. "My Spirit Core is shattered. No spell can fix this."
"But... we promised!" Cipher sobbed, tears streaming down his face. "We promised to win together! You're the Pioneer of the Stars! Make the impossible possible!"
Drake looked at him. Her eyes were soft, filled with a rare, genuine affection.
"The voyage isn't over for you, Master," she whispered. "You still have the Furnace. You still have the Mana. You can still win."
She pulled him into a hug.
"Live, Master," she murmured into his ear. "Then go and achieve victory in my place!"
She shoved him. Hard.
Cipher stumbled backward, falling off the stern of the ship.
"DRAKE!"
As he fell, another volley of Lu Bu's arrows slammed into the ship.
BOOM.
The Golden Hind exploded. The remaining magical energy detonated, vaporizing the ship and its captain in a blinding flash of gold.
Cipher hit the water, the shockwave rolling over him.
[SYSTEM NOTIFICATION][SERVANT ELIMINATED: FRANCIS DRAKE]
The artificial ocean began to recede rapidly. The magic sustaining it was gone.
Cipher dragged himself onto the muddy roof of a submerged building. He was alone.
"Drake..." he whispered.
Then, his expression hardened. He adjusted his glasses.
"Okay," Cipher hissed. "You want a war? I still have the Furnace. I still have the Trident. I'm going to drown you all."
Location: Dry Land (Formerly The Ocean)
Maverick and Daisy crawled out of a pile of mud. The water had drained away, leaving the city a mess of sludge and debris.
"We survived," Daisy gasped. "Barely."
"Drake is dead," Maverick noted, checking the kill feed. "That means the Archer is the biggest threat now."
"Lu Bu," Daisy shuddered. "With a bow. That's illegal."
They looked around. Nero was climbing out of a puddle, looking like a drowned cat. Elizabeth Bathory was pouting because her castle had vanished with the water.
"Hey!" Maverick shouted. "Idols! Alliance! We need to take down the big guy on the tower!"
Nero shook her wet hair out. Her eyes burned with fury.
"Umu!" Nero growled. "He interrupted my duel! He ruined my dress! He must burn!"
Elizabeth summoned her spear. "I agree! He is too loud! Only I am allowed to be loud!"
"Great," Maverick said. "We have a team. Two naked Masters, two angry Idols, and a tiny skeleton."
He looked at the tower.
"Let's go slay a Demon God."
[Chat]:[Alliance]: The Naked Duo + The Angry Emperor vs The Demon God Archer!
[Final_Battle]: This is it. The circle is closing.
[Panda]: Wait, is Panda dead?
[Update]: Panda's stream is black. Darius blew up. RIP Chieftain.
