Panda was having a rough day.
First, he summoned the wrong Servant. Then, he got washed away by a flood. Then, he got kidnapped by a femboy riding a hippogriff.
And now, he was plummeting toward a pirate ship that was currently engaged in a death match with a Roman Emperor.
"MEI YI!" Panda screamed as Astolfo dropped him onto the deck of the Golden Hind. "I hate this game!"
He landed with a thud, rolling across the wooden planks. He scrambled to his feet, trying not to vomit.
"Master!" Astolfo chirped, landing gracefully beside him. "We made it! Look at the view!"
"View?!" Panda gagged. "We're surrounded by water and cannons! Where is Darius?!"
As if on cue, a massive roar shook the ship.
"ROAR!"
A giant hand gripped the railing. Darius III hauled himself onto the deck, dripping wet and looking absolutely furious. He had apparently climbed the hull like King Kong climbing the Empire State Building.
"Darius!" Panda cheered. "You're alive! Kill them! Kill the pirate lady!"
Darius roared in agreement. He raised his twin axes and charged at Francis Drake.
Drake, who was still recovering from Nero's assault, cursed. "Another one? This ship is getting crowded!"
She spun the wheel hard to port. The ship listed violently.
But Darius didn't stumble. He stomped his foot, crushing the deck planks and anchoring himself. He was a tank. A juggernaut.
"Moon Spirit Elixir! Attack Mode!"
Cipher reacted instantly. The silver mercury blob at his feet shot forward, forming a wall of spikes between Darius and Drake.
CRUNCH.
Darius ran straight into the spikes.
"He's unstoppable!" Cipher yelled. "The spikes aren't slowing him down!"
Darius smashed through the mercury wall like it was made of tinfoil. He raised his axe, aiming for Drake's head.
"Not today, big guy!" Drake shouted.
She slammed the rudder again, this time activating the ship's magical thrusters. The Golden Hind lurched forward with a burst of speed.
The sudden acceleration caught Darius off guard. He lost his footing and was flung off the deck, soaring through the air like a discarded toy.
"DARIUS!" Panda screamed.
Darius hit the water with a massive splash.
"Hah!" Drake laughed. "Man overboard! Now, let's finish the—"
She stopped. Her smile vanished.
Darius hadn't sunk.
He was standing on the water.
Or rather, he was standing on something under the water.
[NOBLE PHANTASM: ATHANATOI TEN THOUSAND (Immortal Ten Thousand Soldiers)]
Beneath the surface, thousands of skeletal warriors had formed a human pyramid, lifting their king above the waves.
"ROAR!" Darius bellowed.
The skeletons began to merge. Bones clicked and fused together. Green fire erupted from their eye sockets.
They weren't just forming a platform. They were forming a shape. A massive, terrifying shape.
A Death War Elephant.
It was fifty feet tall, made entirely of bone and green flame. It trumpeted, a sound that chilled the blood of everyone on the battlefield.
[Chat]:[Holy_Crap]: ZOMBIE ELEPHANT! [Necromancer]: That's the coolest Noble Phantasm I've ever seen! [Scale]: It's bigger than the ship! [Run]: Drake, get out of there!
The Death Elephant raised its trunk. Green energy began to gather at the tip, forming a ball of destructive light.
"He's charging a laser!" Cipher shrieked. "An Anti-Fortress beam!"
Drake's eyes narrowed. She didn't back down. She didn't know how.
"Firepower vs Firepower!" Drake yelled. "ALL CANNONS! FIRE AT WILL!"
The Golden Hind unleashed a broadside. Dozens of cannonballs screamed toward the bone elephant.
At the same time, the elephant fired.
VWOOOM.
A beam of green death shot toward the ship.
It looked like mutual destruction.
But then, a wall of crimson fire erupted between them.
"UMU!"
Nero leaped from the water, her sword blazing. She slashed the air, creating a curtain of Primordial Flame.
The fire detonated the cannonballs in mid-air. It blocked the green laser, dispersing it into harmless sparks.
Nero landed on the deck of the Golden Hind again, looking battered but triumphant.
"You kept me waiting!" Nero declared. "But the star of the show always arrives late!"
Cipher paled. "She saved us? No... she just wants to kill us herself!"
It was a three-way standoff.
Drake on the ship. Darius on the bone elephant. Nero on the deck.
"This ends now!" Drake shouted, aiming her broken pistol at Nero.
But before she could pull the trigger...
THWIP.
A sound barely audible over the roar of the ocean.
Drake gasped. She looked down.
An arrow was protruding from her chest. A green, energy-infused arrow.
"What..." Drake coughed, blood trickling from her lips.
High above, on the rooftop of Fuyuki Tower, Monkey lowered his sniper bow.
"Gotcha," Monkey whispered. "Robin Hood. Nice shot."
[Chat]:[Sniper]: BOOM! HEADSHOT! [Steal]: KILL STEAL! [RIP]: Drake is down! The Captain is down!
Drake collapsed to her knees. The magical energy powering the ship began to flicker.
The Golden Hind groaned. The artificial ocean began to recede.
"Master..." Drake whispered to Cipher. "Sorry. Looks like... my voyage ends here."
She dissolved into gold dust.
[SYSTEM NOTIFICATION][SERVANT ELIMINATED: FRANCIS DRAKE]
The ship began to sink.
"NO!" Cipher screamed. "MY SHIP! MY PLAN!"
The water level dropped rapidly. The Death Elephant crumbled back into individual skeletons. Nero fell to the muddy ground as the ship vanished beneath her feet.
Fuyuki City was dry again. But it was a ruin.
And in the center of the mud and debris, the remaining Servants faced off for the final round.
