Chapter 93 - Chapter 94: Intuitive Ability, First Signs of Evolution

Bang!

A piercing sound rang out.

The bullet accurately penetrated this new-model fighter jet.

Thick smoke billowed from the penetrated area as the aircraft began an uncontrolled descent toward the ground.

The pilot in the cockpit checked the fighter's status with a resolute expression, hands gripping the control stick. During its fall, the aircraft veered toward the Dawn piloted by Felix.

Felix watched the approaching fighter with calm composure.

His hands continued operating the controls without pause.

The Guuru, separated from the Dawn, continuously received Felix's commands through the laser signal receiver. Following these instructions, the Guuru maneuvered behind the enemy.

The cannons equipped on the Guuru opened fire.

Bullets rained down like torrential rain upon the new-model fighter.

The aircraft was torn apart by the barrage.

Boom!

A loud explosion echoed through the sky.

The Guuru flew back through layers of enemy fire, returning to the feet of Felix's Dawn where the locking mechanism engaged once more.

Felix maneuvered the Dawn and Guuru to the left in the air. While evading, he fired the Heavy Assault Machine Gun again.

Two guns fired simultaneously from different directions.

Instantly disrupting the attack formation of the new-model fighters ahead.

"Your evasion capability has improved significantly compared to other fighter pilots!"

Watching two attacks miss their mark, Felix's lips curved into a slight smile as he murmured to himself.

While speaking, he rotated the keypad back toward himself.

One hand rapidly typed on the keypad while the other controlled the Dawn. The aircraft maneuvered through the air, dodging attack after attack, yet the Heavy Assault Machine Gun remained silent.

"What is that guy doing?"

Seeing no signs of the Dawn firing, Maloney felt puzzled, muttering under his breath.

After speaking, his finger pressed the trigger.

The new-model fighter's Machine Cannon aimed at the Dawn and opened fire.

The bullets traced a beautiful arc through the air.

Just before the bullets could hit, the Dawn executed an evasive maneuver, dodging the incoming projectiles.

After avoiding this volley, the Dawn turned sharply in mid-air, raising its Heavy Assault Machine Gun to fire at the new-model fighter approaching from behind.

Bullets erupted from the gun barrel.

After firing this shot, the Dawn maneuvered to evade bullets coming from both sides.

Following this evasion, Felix suddenly sensed danger approaching from behind. The feeling was peculiar, almost as if he had grown an eye on his back. His hands moved instinctively, making the Dawn turn and fire directly behind itself.

Boom! Boom!

Two explosions sounded in sequence through the sky.

Two new-model fighters exploded into balls of fire.

"Still some issues."

Observing the results of these two shots, Felix murmured to himself. His hands continued typing on the keypad, making further adjustments to the Automatic Trajectory Correction Program.

While adjusting the program, his other hand kept moving.

He single-handedly controlled the Dawn's evasive maneuvers through the air.

After dodging the attacks, the Dawn ascended straight toward higher altitude.

The new-model fighters besieging Dawn pulled up their noses under their pilots' control, firing relentlessly at Dawn's tail.

Inside the cockpit, Felix, guided by that peculiar sensation from earlier, handled the situation with effortless ease. Every command flowed seamlessly through his hands.

"Is this guy even human?! We've got over ten fighters chasing him down, yet we can't land a single hit!"

Watching Dawn emerge completely unscathed, one new-model fighter pilot wore an expression of stunned disbelief, his voice a low, incredulous growl.

Higher up, Felix completed his final adjustments and modifications, stowing away the keypad. He began piloting Dawn with both hands—one on the thrusters, the other inputting commands.

Dawn separated from Guuru once more.

Felix reduced output from the rear thrusters while executing a mid-air turn. The Heavy Assault Machine Gun roared to life.

Rat-tat-tat-tat!!!

A burst of rounds erupted from the barrel, streaking downward.

The new-model fighter pilots saw the attack coming and reacted instinctively, maneuvering based on their training.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Explosions erupted one after another—their evasive maneuvers had clearly misjudged the bullets' trajectories.

"His aim has become even more unpredictable."

Watching his comrades explode around him, Maloney realized this opponent was far more terrifying than the intelligence reports had suggested.

Even as he spoke, Maloney steered his fighter away, attempting to disengage and avoid being targeted.

"Trying to run?"

Noticing this, Felix smirked coldly.

He pushed the throttle forward.

Dawn's rear thrusters roared to life, accelerating its descent. The Heavy Sword was drawn from its waist mount.

Gripping the massive blade, Dawn charged straight toward the new-model fighter.

Seeing this, Maloney understood his predicament. His finger hovered over the trigger as he opened fire at Dawn's opening, simultaneously barking an order over the comms:

"Pour everything you've got into this bastard!"

Despite the command, Maloney piloted his own craft to widen the gap between himself and Dawn.

Seconds ticked by, and Maloney's hopes dwindled with each passing moment.

None of the outcomes he anticipated materialized.

Every shot they fired missed its mark.

Not a single round struck the white MS.

"Damn it!"

Realizing escape was impossible, Maloney cursed loudly, resolve hardening on his face. One hand gripped the control stick, the other activated the self-destruct sequence.

As the program engaged, he piloted his fighter straight toward Dawn.

That sensation washed over Felix again as the kamikaze fighter approached.

"That strange feeling again..."

Muttering to himself, Felix heeded the warning it conveyed. He maneuvered Dawn away, breaking off the collision course.

A few seconds vanished in an instant!

Watching the final second slip away, Maloney's determination proved futile. Bitter resentment surged from the depths of his heart.

"I refuse to accept this—"

His shout was cut short.

The fighter jet's self-destruction instantly consumed it.

Boom!

With a deafening explosion, the jet transformed into a ball of flames in the sky.

Debris scattered as it plummeted toward the ground.

Watching the falling fragments, Felix smiled.

"This feeling is quite good—it makes me feel more at ease."

As he spoke, the sensation emerged once more.

Following his instincts, Felix executed maneuvers.

Dawn banked sharply to the left in mid-air.

Just then, several bullets whizzed through the spot where it had been moments before.

"Perfect!"

The precise outcome deepened Felix's inner satisfaction, and he couldn't help but voice his admiration.
