Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: The Battle Continues, Abnormal MA

Felix raised the Heavy Assault Machine Gun, his finger pulling the trigger on the GINN.

Muzzle flash erupted!

Three bullets were fired from the barrel.

The projectiles continued forward at three to four times the speed of sound.

Covering the short distance of less than twenty kilometers in mere seconds at such velocity.

"What!"

The MA pilot exclaimed in shock.

By the time he tried to evade with his MA, it was already too late. The rapidly approaching bullets gave him no chance to react.

The high-speed projectiles instantly pierced through the MA's armor.

Concentrating on the compact battery energy pack inside, the high-density battery pack was struck and detonated, triggering a chain reaction that caused the MA to explode in the void of space.

The pilot was consumed in the explosive blaze.

Other MA pilots witnessed their comrade's death, their gazes fixed on the MS piloted by Felix.

"Everyone be careful! This guy is skilled. Don't use standard maneuvers—execute irregular evasive actions."

One MA pilot advised his comrades over the comms.

The others immediately implemented the suggestion.

The remaining MAs began performing unpredictable maneuvers around the GINN in space, continuously firing their mounted Machine Cannons at it while moving.

Seeing this, Felix's mind raced as he calculated how to resolve the situation.

While thinking, his MS dodged and weaved through the incoming attacks.

After a second or two,

Felix devised a solution.

Under his control, the GINN began evading the incoming fire, charging straight ahead.

The MA directly in front quickly altered its course, coming to an abrupt halt in space before twisting around.

This turn created a momentary weakness in its firepower.

Seizing the opportunity, Felix pressed the trigger on his control stick.

The GINN's Heavy Assault Machine Gun fired.

Bullets shot from the muzzle.

Striking the MA's propulsion system with precision.

The propulsion system exploded, nearly eliminating the MA's mobility entirely.

As it turned to face the threat, the GINN, guided by Felix, closed in.

The Heavy Sword swung!

Cleanly slicing through the MA.

The sharp, resilient blade cut through the MA's armor, instantly killing the pilot.

The MA soon followed its operator into oblivion.

"Another one down!"

Felix muttered to himself.

He piloted his MS to attack the remaining MAs.

Meanwhile

Earth Alliance Forces

Roosevelt MA Aircraft Carrier Hangar

Soldiers belonging to the Blue Cosmos organization carried out superior orders. Three Mobius-type MAs sat silently, their weapon mounts being fitted with secretly transported nuclear warheads.

"Reporting, sir! All weapons installation complete!"

After all installations were completed, the soldier reported to his superior.

Upon receiving the report, the superior quickly responded.

"Launch!"

"Understood!"

The two-word reply ended the communication.

Everyone evacuated the hangar as three Mobius MAs moved toward the launch catapults.

As the countdown concluded, three Mobius units carrying Mk5 Large Nuclear Warhead Missiles, accompanied by seven other escort-type Mobius units, launched from the Roosevelt.

Following the plan, they advanced at high speed toward sectors seven to ten of Junius City.

With continuous thrust output from their propulsion systems, the ten specially modified Mobius MAs gradually accelerated, eventually reaching hypersonic speeds as they rapidly advanced.

Their speed was staggering!

On the frontline—

After a series of battles, Felix had eliminated all the MAs that had surrounded him.

Just as he prepared to engage in other combat operations, Felix noticed ten peculiar MAs through anomalies on his radar and screen displays.

Detecting the unusual situation, Felix zoomed in on the targets for closer observation.

Upon magnification, he was shocked to see these high-speed Mobius units.

The missiles carried by these Mobius were far larger than conventional missiles, and their design specifications were equally unusual.

A terrifying realization instantly dawned on him.

His face contorted with shock as he immediately locked onto the targets and broadcast an urgent warning to all available allies.

"We cannot let these abnormal MAs approach Junius City!"

He roared into the comms.

Felix quickly maneuvered his GINN into action.

Upon hearing Felix's desperate shout over communications, Heine and other Mobile Suit Pilots checked the shared data.

After viewing it, everyone's faces showed shock.

Without hesitation, they turned their MS around and charged toward the Mobius units.

The Earth Alliance Forces MA pilots, though initially confused by the situation, recognized this as a golden opportunity they couldn't afford to miss.

They immediately launched coordinated attacks against ZAFT in assault formation.

The ZAFT MS pilots, desperate to protect their homeland, had their focus divided as they prioritized intercepting the Mobius units, leaving them more vulnerable to the MA attacks.

Several GINN units were destroyed under the concentrated assault.

The defensive line began to crumble, and the battlefield steadily shifted toward the colony.

Amid the flames—

ZAFT warriors piloting GINN units sacrificed their lives.

Despite these sacrifices, nothing could deter ZAFT forces from their full-speed interception of the Mobius MAs.

As the vanguard, Felix advanced rapidly toward his targets while evading attacks from behind.

Over the comms—

Heine's voice suddenly came through.

"Felix, the Mobius units have split up!"

"Heine, I'll handle the Mobius heading for Junius sectors seven and eight. You take sectors nine and ten."

Just as this arrangement was communicated, their commander Hawkins' voice cut through the comms.

"Both of you head to sectors seven and eight. We'll handle sectors nine and ten."

Hearing the captain's voice, Felix voiced no questions.

He continued piloting the GINN forward.

Just then, Heine's voice came through again.

"Felix, you focus on charging ahead. Leave these MAs chasing us to me."

After saying this, Heine abruptly halted his GINN, turning to confront the pursuing MA units.

Upon hearing Heine's arrangement, Felix acknowledged with a "Hn" over the comms before pouring all his energy into continuing his forward assault.

He aimed his Heavy Assault Machine Gun at the target and opened fire.

After several tense and somewhat impatient volleys, consecutive failures resulted from factors like the Mobius units' high-speed movements and maneuverability.

Felix's nervousness now morphed into heightened irritation.

Amid this frustration, he warned himself not to lose focus—otherwise, interception would become even more difficult.
