The movements controlling the Mobius accelerated and intensified once more, as the Mobius maneuvered around the GINN, continuously attacking with long-range firepower.
Several other Mobius units were acting exactly the same way!
Seeing the current situation, Hawkins could only exert all his effort to control the GINN and evade the attacks. The more he dodged, the more it drained his mental focus and concentration.
As this went on, Hawkins' condition deteriorated further.
A small lapse in attention resulted in bullets striking the GINN's arm, causing an explosion where the arm met the body. The shockwave from the blast traveled through the GINN's frame into the cockpit.
Feeling the vibrations from the explosion, Hawkins gritted his teeth and continued operating the controls.
He charged toward one of the Mobius units.
The other Mobius pilots, seeing this, immediately opened fire on Hawkins from behind and both flanks.
The attacks coming from multiple directions thwarted Hawkins' intention.
He had no choice but to pilot the damaged GINN to evade the assault.
In the back-and-forth exchange, one Mobius, with the support of the others, successfully flanked him and used its machine cannon to fire bullets that struck the GINN's high-density energy battery pack.
The moment the battery pack was hit, an alert instantly appeared on the cockpit screen. Seeing this damage warning, a look of unwillingness crossed Hawkins' face.
With this deep reluctance, he took one last glance toward the location of District Nine in Junius City. In that moment, he saw the missile he had fired hit its target.
He saw the missile explode!
At this moment, he felt relieved and shouted over the comms.
"Protect Jun—"
Before he could finish his final words, the explosion from the high-density energy battery pack shattered the cockpit, engulfing Hawkins' entire body in the blast.
The several Mobius pilots who had just taken down Hawkins had no time to celebrate before one of the Mobius units was struck from behind.
The pilot was swallowed by the explosion before he could even react.
The remaining pilots quickly maneuvered their Mobius units to avoid being ambushed from the rear.
As the Mobius units moved, two GINNs charged toward them, their intent clear: to eliminate these enemies.
District Seven and Eight, Junius City
Felix was currently unaware of his commander's death!
Piloting his GINN in this direction, Felix was fully engaged in fighting against the Mobius units intercepting him.
While turning to evade bullets, the GINN replaced the magazine of its Heavy Assault Machine Gun.
With a fresh magazine and the Heavy Assault Machine Gun fully loaded, the GINN opened fire as it turned.
With predicted movement tracking, bullets were fired from the barrel.
The projectiles struck the Mobius' propulsion system along the anticipated trajectory.
The impaired propulsion system reduced the Mobius' ability to perform high-speed maneuvers as before. Under Felix's control, the GINN dodged attacks from other directions and seized the opportunity to charge forward.
Swinging the Heavy Sword in its hand!
With a single slash, he destroyed this Mobius.
"Heyne, how's the missile interception going right now?"
After taking down this Mobius, Felix asked Heyne over the comms. In the midst of combat, Heyne managed to divert part of his focus and replied through the communication channel.
"Aside from the ones you've dealt with, Junius City District Nine has completed their interception mission, but District Ten hasn't finished theirs yet!"

Felix cursed impatiently upon hearing this.
While speaking, he maneuvered the GINN to evade an attack, raised the Heavy Assault Machine Gun, and opened fire on a Mobius.
The Mobius pilot controlled the Mobile Armor to dodge the attack.
It then turned and fired at the GINN piloted by Felix!
Under Felix's control, the GINN swiftly evaded the incoming bullets. After dodging, Felix continued maneuvering to avoid attacks from other directions.
Once completely clear, Felix pulled the trigger.
Bullets shot out from the muzzle of the Heavy Assault Machine Gun.
The rounds headed straight for the enemy ahead.
With precise movement prediction and the high velocity of the bullets, this Mobius was instantly pierced and exploded.
After destroying this Mobius, Felix continued maneuvering.
The GINN's propulsion speed increased further.
He charged toward another Mobius at tremendous speed.
Seeing this, the Mobius pilot both evaded and continuously fired the Machine Cannon.
Despite combining these two actions, they failed to have any effect on the GINN piloted by Felix.
Maneuvering right in front of this Mobius.
He swung the Heavy Sword.
The blade landed squarely on the Mobius.
The Mobius exploded moments later.
Before it exploded, Felix had already piloted the GINN to evade.
Just as he was about to head toward Junius City District Ten, several Mobius units swarmed him again.
His forward path was blocked.
Unable to break through the blockade with maneuvering alone, Felix had no choice but to engage these Mobius units in close combat.
He raised the Heavy Assault Machine Gun!
Aiming the muzzle at a Mobius ahead, the fire control radar locked onto it, combined with the powerful computing capability of the quantum computer and Felix's fine adjustments.

The moment he turned, Felix witnessed an even more violent explosion.
The intensity of the blast prompted Felix to fire at the nearby Mobius units, forcing them back, before turning the GINN around under his control.
The sight of the explosion made Felix's pupils contract!
He saw that the previously intact Junius City District Ten had begun to collapse and crumble due to the explosion.
"Ah!!!!"
A heart-wrenching scream echoed through the comms.
Hearing these agonizing cries, Felix's eyes turned red as he gripped the control stick tightly.
"Damn bastards!"
He growled through clenched teeth.
Felix piloted the GINN toward District 10 of Junius City.
An unfamiliar command suddenly came through the comms!
"All forces near Junius City split into two groups! One group proceed to District 10 of Junius City to rescue the escape pods! The other group continue holding off the enemy advance!"
