Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: Enemy Interception, A Perilous Situation

Shifting his gaze, Felix piloted his GINN mobile suit toward another direction. Seeing that the interception at Junius Nine and Ten positions was ineffective, he immediately steered his GINN toward that sector without hesitation.

The pursuing Mobius units, observing the trajectory of Felix's GINN, accelerated toward him with increased thrust.

Their mounted machine cannons locked onto Felix and opened fire.

Muzzle flashes erupted continuously.

Seeing this through his screen, Felix maneuvered the GINN through space.

He dodged the relentless barrage of bullets.

Raising his Heavy Assault Machine Gun, he aimed its muzzle at the approaching Mobius and returned fire.

Flashes burst from the gun barrel.

The Mobius executed a swift turn in space, evading the incoming rounds.

Several other Mobius units opened fire on Felix, forcing him to continuously maneuver the GINN to avoid their attacks.

After dodging the assault, the GINN accelerated toward one of the Mobius units in his sights.

While advancing, he weaved through layers of incoming bullets.

Closing the distance between them rapidly!

The Mobius pilot, seeing this, didn't hesitate and attempted to evade close contact with the GINN through evasive maneuvers.

The GINN raised its Heavy Assault Machine Gun.

Its muzzle fired forward.

The bullets systematically blocked the Mobius's possible evasion routes, gradually reducing its room to maneuver.

Eventually, it had no choice but to engage the GINN at close range.

The difference between MA and MS became starkly apparent in close combat.

The MS, with its more agile frame, gripped the Heavy Sword with one hand. The mobile suit rolled in space, then brought the Heavy Sword down upon the Mobius.

The sharp blade, combined with the force of the swing, easily breached the Mobius's armor.

The shattered Mobius exploded in space.

The blaze reflected in Felix's eyes.

After eliminating this Mobius, Felix called out over the comms.

"We need to intercept those attacks quickly!"

With this shout, Felix piloted the GINN toward Junius Nine, evading all incoming attacks from behind with precise maneuvers.

He did not return fire.

The Mobius squadron continued to pursue Felix's GINN from behind, their machine cannons firing relentlessly.

Bullets whizzed past the GINN.

Yet none managed to strike it.

During the flight

Felix used the targeting system to fire at the high-speed missiles ahead.

Bullets shot from the muzzle!

Over a dozen rounds surged forward at that moment.

The bullets traveled at high speed through space, heading straight for the missiles' projected paths.

Watching the bullets race ahead, Felix's gaze shifted to the Junius Ten position.

In an instant, his eyes turned bloodshot!

What he saw were two missiles still not intercepted, and his comrades sacrificing themselves under the Mobius's attacks.

The blinding glare of explosions and incoming missiles made Felix's eyes widen in fury!

"For PLANT!"

At that moment, Felix heard a resolute, almost desperate voice over the comms.

Following the sound, he saw a heavily damaged GINN charging straight toward a blocking Mobius. The Mobius swiftly evaded the suicide attempt, swiveling its Machine Cannon to fire at the GINN.

The cannonfire tore the GINN apart!

The explosion bloomed right before Felix's eyes.

Watching the blaze, Felix tightened his grip on the control stick, his gaze fixed ahead.

He saw his own bullets strike and destroy one of the missiles, while the other, though affected, failed to detonate.

Though its speed had dropped significantly, it continued racing toward Junius Seven.

Seeing this, Felix prepared to fire again.

But before he could finish aiming, pursuing Mobius units disrupted his attempt. Without precise targeting, hitting the missile at this range was nearly impossible.

Still, Felix pulled the trigger and fired.

After the shot, his GINN spun sharply in space, turning to face the rear. The sudden maneuver caught the pursuing Mobius pilot off guard.

The GINN's Heavy Assault Machine Gun fired with astonishing speed.

Two Mobius units were destroyed in the barrage.

The remaining Mobius units dodged and returned fire with their Machine Cannons.

Felix skillfully maneuvered the GINN to evade.

But the bullet he had fired earlier wasn't as lucky this time—it only grazed the missile.

Unaffected, the missile continued its course toward Junius Seven.

Fortunately, Hawkins had temporarily broken free from enemy encirclement and now had a clear shot.

Without hesitation, he activated his scope, locked onto the missile, and with computer-assisted trajectory and speed calculations, opened fire.

A round left the barrel.

Just as Hawkins prepared to fire again, a Mobius's Machine Cannon shot struck the Heavy Assault Machine Gun in his GINN's hands.

The gun shattered instantly.

Hawkins quickly discarded the broken weapon and drew the Heavy Sword.

He charged the attacking Mobius.

The Mobius evaded and returned fire with its Machine Cannon.

Hawkins dodged skillfully.

Seeing this, three other Mobius pilots joined the assault, closing in on Hawkins.

Hawkins was now in dire straits!

Without his long-range Heavy Assault Machine Gun, he struggled under the Mobius's ranged attacks.

Distracted by concern for the colony, he kept glancing toward Junius Seven, worsening his already precarious situation.

A burst of cannonfire from one Mobius struck the GINN's leg.

The leg exploded, severely reducing the mobile suit's mobility.

"It seems my luck has run out today!"

Sensing the GINN's condition, Hawkins predicted his own situation like a prophet. The fleeting emotions of melancholy and regret instantly dissipated as his gaze remained resolute, fixed upon the enemy ahead.

He piloted the GINN to charge toward the enemy!

The Mobius evaded the attack at that moment, its Machine Cannon firing at Hawkins' MS.

The other three Mobius units performed similar maneuvers from different directions. While Hawkins managed to dodge in the GINN, the decline in mobility left him struggling to respond effectively despite his determination.
