Gabriel carefully plated the noodles, steam curling in lazy spirals from the bowl.
He carried it to the counter where Ethan perched, eyes wide and expectant.
"Alright, Ace," Gabriel said, setting the bowl in front of him. "Your expert taste buds, remember?"
Ethan leaned in, nose twitching at the aroma, and picked up a fork. "Mmm… smells amazing already. I'm ready for my royal duty," he murmured, voice playful but soft, his eyes glinting with affection.
Gabriel watched him, heart a little tighter in his chest.
There was something in the way Ethan's lips parted slightly as he tasted, the little hum of approval that followed.
Ethan chewed carefully, then nodded slowly, eyes locking with Gabriel's. "Angel… this is… wow. So good. Like… seriously good."
Gabriel's lips curved in a small, proud smile. "See? Told you. Your taste test says it's perfect."
