Time passed lazily, the sunlight slanting through the blinds and warming the couch where Ethan had been sprawled.
He traced the seam of Gabriel's shirt with a fingertip, small smile tugging at his lips, lost in thoughts of Gabriel.
Eventually, he stretched, letting out a soft yawn, and pushed himself up. "I should… do something," he murmured to himself, voice barely above the hum of the city outside.
He padded into the bedroom, surveying the small pile of clothes Gabriel had left scattered.
He bent down carefully, picking up the garments, stacking them with more intention than skill, muttering, "Okay… maybe I'll figure out how to fold later."
With the clothes tucked aside, he wandered back toward Gabriel's workspace.
His eyes fell on the desk, littered with sketches, beads, unfinished designs, and delicate chains glinting in the morning light.
