At a Japanese school called Nada Institute, a 17-year-old student named Naomi studied.
She was very intelligent, always getting the best grades in her class, completing her assignments, but she was shy and always went unnoticed.
For most students, she was someone invisible because she didn't speak, and it was hardly possible to realize she was there.
She only has one friend named Sofía; Sofía and Naomi have known each other since they were little, which is why Sofía is the only one who really knows Naomi well.
Naomi lives with her mom, who works long hours during the day, so she is alone most of the time.
She makes use of her time alone to read or study; she doesn't leave her house, and if she does, it's only to buy food.
Naomi is always in her own world, whether at school or at home. Deep down, she wishes to have friends who don't only talk to her for projects and favors.
Her hair is pink, her skin is fair. Besides studying and reading, what she likes most is cooking—she is an expert at it.
One day like any other, Naomi was in her classroom, sitting at her seat and reading a book as always.
At that moment, the most popular guy in school, Dan, was walking down the hall with some friends; all the students were looking at him.
When he passed by Naomi's classroom, he stopped, looked at Naomi, and asked one of his friends:
-Who is that girl?"
-She's… Naomi, if I remember correctly, but they call her the invisible girl because you rarely notice she's there,- one of his friends tells Dan.
-Why are you asking, Dan?- another friend asks.
-Nothing, just wanted to know. Let's go."
