Chapter 20 - The Sudden Class Change?

He didn't listen to them, tears kept rolling down his cheek, the heartbeat of his grew tremendously high as if he had just run a marathon.

'I can't come back to my senses... The motherly and fatherly love which I'm feeling after whole five years is... is a little too much.'

His mom kept patting him, but then his dad said, "Son, I think this is our time to go." The tone was sharp, but the sense of love was still present within it.

"Hope you don't find yourself guilty for that anymore, it was the wish of destiny." He took a small pause.

Then continued, "If the karma wanted us to die and you to survive, it's not your fault. Find yourself lucky that you survived." A small smile appeared on his face as he patted the back of Leon.

His mother's voice came right after that of his father. "Yes, your father is telling the truth. And if you ever feel guilty or anything like that, just take care of your sister even more than you usually do."

She took a small pause as she chuckled slightly. "We miss you too, son." Her tone was filled with affection and love towards her only son.

"And we are also proud of you, Leon. Keep doing the things like you usually do, and take care of your sister." His father said.

Leon finally lifted his head back up, but the thing he saw made him cry even louder, the tears didn't stop even for a second after seeing what was in front of him.

The hands of his parents slowly started to break apart into tiny glowing particles.

They drifted upward, shimmering softly as a gentle light spilled from them, wrapping the space in warmth.

One by one, the particles faded away, as if his parents were being quietly guided back to the afterlife.

Leon groaned loudly as he fell onto his knees, grabbing the particles that were coming through his parents' bodies

He lifted them as he brushed them over his face, trying to feel their warmth for one last time before they would be gone forever.

When everything went back to normal, he started taking deep breaths to calm himself down. He brushed his eyes and cheeks with the back of his hand.

He had finally stopped whining, and the tears had also stopped flowing through his eyes.

"Phew... That was a bit embarrassing." He muttered under his breath as he got back up on his two feet.

"Crying in front of your parents when you're twenty years old, eh? Such a weirdo you are, Leon." He said as he brushed the dust off his clothes.

Before he could think of doing anything else, a bunch of system notifications started to appear in front of his eyes.

His eyes fell on the notifications that came right after his parents disappeared.

Eyes widened slightly, but returned to normal as if he had expected this result to occur.

'Well, I knew that I would get rewards because it was a trial from the start to begin with… But these rewards are a little too much.'

He studied each character written on the blue panel.

His eyes fell on the engraving of necromancy. 'Necromancer? My class changed? What the hell?'

His lips parted slightly as a small smile curled up on his lips, and the sweat formed on his forehead as it rolled down his cheeks.

"Wh-what? Are you kidding me right now?" He muttered under his breath as he staggered back slightly.

"And it also says that I have one extra class slot?" A wicked smirk curled up on the edges of his lips.

"If I actually can have one more class, then doesn't it mean that I can even match the game rankers in a while?"

His vision slowly started to become blurry, his knees were about to give up, and the tension in his muscles started to grow even more.

"What's happ—"

Before he could finish his words, his body fell on the ground. Face first, then came the rest.

The golden rays of the sun were entering the dorm room through the tall windows, which were on the corners of the room.

A slow breeze of morning air also entered through the windows, making the curtains swirl and swing slightly.

"Wake up, I'm not going to babysit for ages." A voice fell into his ears, almost felt ancient. Hiseyess opened slightly as the golden stream of sunlight fell onto his face.

He raised both of his hands as he stretched his arms completely, and a small yawn escaped through his mouth.

"Man… I'm so tired that I could sleep five more minutes." He said, eyes still closed, snuggling into the bedsheets.

He opened his eyes slightly, and his gaze fell on a figure that made his sleep vanish in a split second.

The skin of his face turned pale, the color of his eyeballs turned completely white as if he had seen a ghost just now.

His mouth opened slightly as a small groan escaped through it, which only he could hear.
