The fight with the pirates wasn't even a fight, shit was a slaughter. Nami absolutely demolished those bums, though Kairo did want them alive... no, not because he was merciful but because they were more useful alive than dead.
He would question them, you know, something light to know what the fuck they were doing.

"Davy Back Fight?"
Usopp, Robin, Zoro, and Sanji seemed to know what it was. Usopp would explain how it was a scary thing and all that, and how they may lose a crewmate if they participated.
"Luffy... if you do... who am I kidding, you will accept. Choose 2 games... that way even if we were to lose the first round, we can always get our crewmate back," Kairo would say calmly.
"Hey! I would never do such a thing." Luffy was a horrible liar, even his face was giving him away.
"So this how you interrogate people?" Sanji would say, looking at the crying men on the ship.
"Not really, usually I use other methods. Everyone has their limits and what they can accept. For you, for example, I could just make you believe you're speaking with a beautiful woman and you would fold."
"I am not that easy to fool," Sanji would refute. He was not that easy to fool, he was a man of honor dammit.
Kairo would give him a deadpan expression.

Kairo turned into a pretty woman: silver hair, blue eyes like the ocean, an axe on his back, his Nordic clothes, putting more on his allure, his curves hugging his body.
She looked beautiful.
"Come on, darling~ do tell, what is your secret~" Even the voice sounded seductive.
Sanji had hearts in his eyes.
The guy even spilled secrets about the ingredients in his food. Kairo switched back to normal.
As if nothing happened. As if he wasn't a woman a few seconds ago, flirting with his own crewmate. Don't question it.
It wasn't gay, he was just proving a point.
"As I was saying... different methods."
"Wow... you turned into a woman... How?" Chopper was confused, a man shouldn't be able to do that.
Kairo simply shrugged.
"It's basic stuff." He would hold the reindeer's hand and have him make the seal before—

As the smoke vanished... Chopper was revealed... he looked like a very imperfect version of Sanji.
"I do not look like this monstrosity!" Sanji would roar. Chopper looked like how Sanji's wanted poster would look in the future.
"I think it's pretty accurate," Zoro would say, looking at it.
"Shut the hell up, you messy swordsman!" Sanji looked pissed.
"The hell you say, you lousy cook!" And once more they were at each other's throat. Like damn, the anger wasn't even warranted.
As Chopper turned back to normal, he was amazed. Yet at the same time, he wondered how, and even after transforming he didn't know how it worked.
Kairo would yawn before opening his mouth and saying,
"You can do a lot with Haki... but due to the World Government suppression I suppose, I shouldn't be surprised if to the outside world, Haki was just something used to land big attacks and see well."
"I suppose to you all, it's 'Observation Haki,' sense intent.(basic level) 'Armament Haki' was basically dumbed down to allowing the user to use their own spiritual energy to create, in essence, an invisible piece of armor around themselves, providing incredible offensive and defensive capabilities. Wano does have its spin on it, using it in a way to damage people from the inside."
"Ryou." Wow, wasn't Luffy just a studious guy.
"Yeah, like that," Kairo would say calmly.
"Are you suggesting that you used Armament Haki to transform?" Robin would question.
He immediately felt the need to have an in-depth explanation—goddamn, was his sense of self so low.
"It's a mix of it and Observation Haki, as of course you need to have an image of what you want to turn into for it to work. The ability to transform into other people has been a wish humanity has had for a while. Mister 2's Devil Fruit is direct proof of that," Kairo said calmly.
"The hell does the weird man's Devil Fruit have to do with this?" Zoro would say.
"Well, Devil Fruits are created partly through humanity's wish for certain things. If someone wanted a cloud power, that could manifest as a Devil Fruit. Though a soul had to be anchored to it, and since souls can't really die, even if the host does die... the fruit could just reincarnate." Kairo looked up and saw the confused look on their faces.
"Are you saying... Devil Fruits come from people's wish?" Robin's voice sounded shaky.
He wondered why.
"Well yeah, you didn't know? It's kinda common knowledge in my village," he would say, taking out a book that immediately went to Robin's hand. JEEZ, the fuck was her problem.
"You guys didn't know?"
"How the hell were we supposed to know that?!" Sanji would shout back.
Chopper would pause a bit... Devil Fruits coming from a wish... he pondered on his own Devil Fruit, the Human-Human Fruit... did someone desire to be more human for his fruit? Or was it the mushroom that Doctor Hirulo was looking for?
Heh, if only he knew, it was what Blackbeard was looking for. That mushroom, if awakened... the Human-Human Fruit (my own headcanon incoming) could make anyone more human. And you may ask, what does that mean? And no, it doesn't mean rubbing a nut out and getting into post-nut clarity.
What it means...
Was... if someone was suffering from cancer and Chopper used his fruit to make them more human... the cancer is gone. As for a normal human, that's not normal.
In case you didn't get it... it could cure any illness.
The doctor wasn't aware of that yet.
"You... guys didn't know?" KAIRO, not David, was confused. This was common knowledge in his village, didn't they know of it? {Wonder why the World Government would want to get rid of them.}
He tilted his head. His dad usually said to remember history, he thought the whole world knew about this, his family certainly did.
And they seemed to really believe in this Nika fella.

Though he supposed if enough slaves wished for it, maybe a fruit could be created... but that wouldn't prove Nika existed, just that his family's words were correct.

"Long story short, Observation Haki detects intent, it doesn't really read the future like that. For example—" His hand twitched for a second before throwing a punch at Zoro, who blocked it with his sword.
"The hell that for?"
"How did you know I was going to punch you?" Kairo would question.
"Your muscles tensed and you threw a punch," the swordsman would say.
Kairo would take in a deep breath before—

Zoro would crash into the ship. Fuck, that hurt.
"Zoro!" Chopper would shout, going to the swordsman.
Zoro would get up. Fuck, shit felt bad.
How didn't he see that?
He had Observation Haki, how the hell did he get snuck?
"Why couldn't you block that one?" Kairo questioned, looking at the swordsman.
"The hell am I supposed to know, your fist just spawned on my face!"
Kairo sighed a bit...
"A lack of intent." Nami's mind seemed to have figured it out.
"Oh." It seemed like someone got it.
Nami finally got it. When Kairo threw the first punch, even she could tell there was intent and signs... but for the second... he felt like a ghost.
{For anyone saying it wouldn't work... remember in Skypiea when Luffy used Gum-Gum Daze, and Enel couldn't predict him, or when he still hit Enel when punching the wall. Mind you, Enel's Observation Haki is high, so this is not pure BS.}
{got deeper into One Piece and found out, Enel observation not top tier so lack of intent won't work for long.....like I said I am watching the show as I write, later on he will use conqueror with observation to block their shit)
Luffy's eyes seemed to be absorbing every single drop of info he was getting.
Lack of intent... shit would be hard for any intellect or someone with a brain... for Luffy...
It might be hard for another reason. This shit was basically Ultra Instinct.
Kairo wondered why the fuck Robin was reading his book so intently, her eyes gazing at the drawings and so on, even mention of the abyss. The hell about this was so interesting?
