"I found something." Kairo's eyes would open. Following her gaze, he looked at the clouds on the floor.
"The city of gold... it's under there," she would say. Kairo didn't really doubt her judgment, so he took out his sword, raised it while pointing at the cloud, and with one swift motion, a powerful gust of wind cut through the cloud, blowing it away and revealing a hole through it.
As for why he didn't use Haki or anything else—well, it was simple. Enel could sense that shit, so he was left with mostly the bare essentials.
Plus, they were making record pace right now. Like, come on.
There was no way they could mess this up.
Meanwhile with Luffy.
"The forest is sacred ground, no one is allowed to enter it."
"Forbiden!" Luffy's eyes would seem to sparkle at those words.
"Luffy, didn't you hear her? She said forbidden. We are not going there!" Usopp would yell. Luffy would smile at that.
"I'm not going to go there, it's forbidden."
The gleam in his eyes told anyone who knew him even the slightest he was bullshitting through his teeth.
"Nami may have been lost in that forest, it's not time to daydream," Sanji would say.
"So we have to go and rescue her." His goofy expression would remain on his face.
"Don't you dare use Nami as an excuse for you to trespass!" Sanji would shout while Luffy was still smiling. He heard "forbidden forest." Hahahahaha. He would be there in a jiffy.
Usopp was trying to get him to focus, but he wouldn't.
At the same time... in front of said forest, Nami could be seen, holding her breath and hiding, as Enel's men surrounded a guy.
Apparently, they had killed him... no. Nami saw it. Lightning came from the sky and the man was gone.
His body still remained, but she was quiet. She even held her breath. Kairo didn't say anything about that.
She calmed herself down. Well, Kairo was only there for like 30 minutes, and he probably only saw the White Sea and the entrance. He probably didn't probe for too long, so that's why he didn't know.
No... Nami remembered. Kairo revealed details one could only get if they spoke to a local, so chances were... he knew, yet didn't reveal it.
Why would he ever do such a th—Luffy.
She paused. Hm. Yeah, that was an actual valid reason. If this idiot rushed there, they would be in a lot of trouble.
She waited for them to leave before breathing out. Okay, so she must dip now because they beat her shit.
She didn't like being beat, thank you. Her pretty face wasn't for show.
She was quite a good navigator—some might argue the best around. Oh well, none of that. She needed to retreat, and retreat she did.
Meanwhile with Luffy.
"Why are they walking around funny?" he would question, looking at the idiots crawling around. From what the old man said, they were guards that served under God.
Luffy didn't buy this whole god stuff. It wasn't meat, so he wasn't interested. From what he heard, this god fella ain't the nicest guy to be around, nor is he the most fair fella ever.
The guards would approach Luffy's crew.
"Stop there, you illegals."
Luffy's brow would furrow. Illegal? Him?
Never.
"You Blue Sea dwellers have violated the law," the man would say, getting close.
"You have not paid your bills."
"We did pay them! We gave the old lady the money when we entered," Luffy would explain.
"She did not report such a thing," the man would say with a smile on his face.
"Really?" Luffy questioned.
"Scammer!" Usopp would shout.
"He's trying to rip us off," the long-nosed guy would say.
"Unless you pay the 80 billion Extol fee, you are not welcome here."
"Not even hiding it. Jumping from 1 billion to 80 billion," Sanji would say, taking a smoke.
Luffy would look at the man.
"Pay up, Blue Sea dweller."
Luffy put his hand in his pockets and pulled out... nothing.
"I don't have it."
The man, who was expecting some money, seemed annoyed. How dare this bastard try and trick him, the almighty Glizzy-sama. No question.
"This is a level 10 crime..." Before the man could finish speaking, Luffy had already punched him in the face, knocking him out.
"You a scammer and a liar, hahaha. I hate people like you." How he could say such a thing with such a face was crazy work. As if Nami wasn't a scammer. But oh well, guess there was a difference in clownness being played here. Oh well.
As the other guards attempted to catch Luffy, he wouldn't hesitate, and in one swift motion—
"Gum-Gum... Discord Ball!"
As he said that, he jumped in the air, wrapped himself like a ball, and began spamming punches as he spun around at incredible speed, causing punches to fly everywhere, knocking out everyone in the area that was part of this squadron.
As Luffy was done, he landed back down, no scratch on him. He would look at his fist. He was getting better at this Haki stuff.
As the leader of the group got up, he looked at Luffy.
"How dare you hit me! This is now a level 8 crime! You will face the wrath of god for daring to do such a—"
A powerful punch to the face and the man was knocked out.
"Luffy, why did you do that?!"
"He talked too much." His voice sounded matter-of-factly, like it was a valid reason.
A/N Canon enough
