As he was chilling on deck, just sleeping really, doing mental exercises and all, he would hear a voice from below.
It was Nami ordering everyone else around, and Sanji of course refusing to bounce her tits. Like jeez man, she was not going to let you hit. You would never catch Kairo ever acting like that.
As he thought that, from the cabin, someone would walk out with a chair. He would look down and freeze. Holy balls, that was Robin. That was her.
Why the fuck was she on the ship?
Nami would be on guard.
"Why the hell is she here?" She was of course being very reasonable. Like come on, she used to be second in command for Baroque Works and now she was here?
Ussop of course was hiding behind Chopper.
Robin would give them a smile, as if she truly was innocent in this.
"Your captain had invited me to join your crew." She sat down on the chair nearby.
"I didn't have any spare clothes so I had to borrow yours," she said, looking at Nami.
"As if I would let you!" Nami was still hiding a comfortable distance away.
Also, really? Luffy invited her? Since when?
Kairo doesn't remember. When the fuck did Luffy invite her?
Luffy would be seen, he had this big goofy grin on his face.
"Why the hell did you invite her? She was the second in command of Baroque Works!" Nami would shout.
"What if she kills us in our sleep?" Ussop was still hiding.
Robin would smile as suddenly her hands appeared around them and tickled them, causing them all to fall down and laugh a bit.
They were ticklish.
"She wouldn't," Luffy said with a grin. He didn't think she would backstab them. She was a good person.
Robin noticed something. It seemed like she was in shade. Odd. Looking up, she would see a pair of black wings. Were those a feature of the ship? Because she didn't remember seeing them when she hopped on.
Odd.
Ussop would begin to question her, stuff like how old she was.
And what her profession was. She said she was an archaeologist and came from a family of them.
She also said she started this at like eight years old, give or take.
She jumped from crew to crew until she had this arrangement with Crocodile four years ago. Her goal was simple—she simply wanted to learn the true history of the world. That was it, no ifs or buts about it.
"You may have fooled those idiots, but you won't fool me," Nami said, very defensive. Robin would place down some bags of gold on the desk.
"I happened to take some of Crocodile's gold on my way."
"Aw, big sister, you're the best!" Nami's eyes were filled with gold coins. And just like that, she got Nami. As for Sanji, just the simple fact she was a woman already had him—he would never escape her grasp.
Good for him. As for Zoro, she offered booze, and guess what? He was on board. Didn't even take him one more second. Chopper was tickled, so she basically had the whole crew on board.
Except...
The Lunarian hiding away from her. That was the only way to explain it. Kairo acted like he was asleep or something, as if he didn't overhear the whole thing. If he could ignore them, he would be good, and that was his mentality throughout this.
He didn't even want her to see him, but being that tall, it was kinda hard to hide. Oh well, he would fake it till he made it. He shall not talk to her; he would simply act like he was sleeping.
Meanwhile, Robin would ponder. She felt like she knew those wings, as if she had seen them before. Did this crew have multiple Zoan-type Devil Fruit users among them?
The reindeer happened to be one of them. Would that mean they had two Zoan fruit users in their ranks?
Well technically, she wasn't wrong. They indeed had two Zoan-type Devil Fruit users in their ranks. Kairo was, in fact, not one of them. While yes, in the future he might get a Mythical Zoan fruit to complete the trio of Zoan fruit users of the Strawhats—
Welp, let her believe that. Though that belief of hers would be tested. She would know soon enough his ass wasn't a ninja.
"Hm, how peculiar, having wings so small on your ship." She would probe. She knew they weren't accessories to the ship but more like a person. She, by now, knew the crew's personalities, so she knew that either Luffy or Ussop would leak intel.
"Oh, that's Kairo, our ninja. He is very strong," Luffy would say, smiling a bit. Though he guessed Kairo was asleep.
"A ninja?" So, was he from Zou or Wano?
"We found him in Little Garden, and he can do jutsu."
Her brow furrowed. Didn't Bon Clay run into an old Lunarian on that island...? Her brow furrowed again. Was Kairo a...
